Jacota needs your help! Save him!

[Jacota Fiik]

So I'm in a bit of a pickle when it comes to starting RP here. I set my character up to begin as a slave on a pirate ship. Mainly because I usually make my main characters completely open-ended and their development depends on the PCs they interact with and the events that transpire along the way. So, to make him as blank slate-ish as possible I set it up so that he has nothing and the first people who I RP with on Jacota will be the person or people saving him from his captors. I was going to just start an open thread, but I figured I'd see if anyone would be interested in claiming that spot.

Jacota is Force sensitive and has the potential to go in any direction as far as what side he joins so don't worry if you think he may not mesh with your character. He could also not ever come to learn how to use the Force. After all, not even he knows that he's sensitive to it and he's so dense when it comes to the spiritual realm that someone else would need to explain it to him. So if no one ever does then he'll likely never awaken to his potential and that's fine as well.

Death Pirate Gorlek actually works for the Cartel and Jacota is wanted by the Hutts for his family's debts. He just doesn't know that he actually has Jacota. For all he knows, he's just some scrawny archivist he captured on vacation. So yeah... the Cartel coming to get him is viable. Though I foresee his path crossing with the both of you in the future either way. Assuming his family and surrogate father ('cause he went to find him after his disappearance and his first stop was Nar Shaddaa) are still alive, that is.

Your proposal is very tempting and I would actually love to RP with you. I can see Jacota and Julius becoming an interesting pair. I think I would enjoy starting off with you the most. If only we didn't have so many people replying all of a sudden! I don't want to disappoint anyone assuming they were intrigued at all by the premise of the thread. We could have a situation where more than one of you guys shows up. Possibly Julius arriving around the same time Raka does. Raka recognizes Jacota and orders Gorlek to bring him to Hutta or Nar Shaddaa (or wherever his palace is) and Julius breaks him out? I have no clue why Julius would be there in the first place, but I'm sure we can figure that out. I like that premise because it sets up a future nemesis scenario with Raka.

As for the rest of you, I would be more than happy to RP with all of you in the future. I hadn't expected so many replies so it hurts to "deny" so many. Though I'm sure one or two of you could squeeze into the thread somehow. I dunno. I just hate not being able to accommodate people. We can all cross paths and have adventures in the future, though! The galaxy is smaller than you think.

So we have a premise, if slightly flimsy. I'm easy, even if you'd prefer to have someone else rescue you or the like, we can still do some threads. You let me know what you'd like m'friend.
