Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
An entry within Matsu's holocron talking about force families and how some of them formed and have continued through to the present day. The oldest and some of the more famous.
CONTENT INFORMATION
Overview: There is a surprising amount of information about some force sensitive families in the galaxy. The jedi did keep records though they were harder to find. As a means to check in and find potential recruits that they would be able to bring into the order. Research and investigation hs led to several families that once existed and may have continued. a comprehensive genealogical survey and census would require several dozen advanced AI's to identify and then even more to test them making in not as feasible at the time.
Positives: The benefits of force bloodlines is that the connection to the force can become concentrated leading to vergences in the force who are exceptionally powerful. They could be established and maintained... the danger of them though is choice and freewill whihc could just as easily let one choose the darkside as the lightside of the force. Which would make a powerful enemy and lead to dangerous outcomes. Depending on the era of the order these bloodlines were encouraged or even promoted.
Negatives: Freewill and choice, the ability to choose their own path is the largest reason why the jedi order didn't want to allow such dangerous things. The possibility of creating a powerful sith lord who can corrupt others is one fo the leading causes of why the jedi started restricting love and unions between its members. The risk to reward was off compared to some of the things that might be able to happen. There are darkside dynasties that have appeared through the histories of the jedi and the force but they will also have the same balanceas members can choose the light.
Conclusion: In conclusion force bloodlines are something complicated when it comes to the jedi... it depends on the era they are in and how the orders are functioning. When they are more insular the order might institute more methods to produce the strongest force users while if they are ultra traditionalist they may not allow unions and attachments. Couplings between the jedi can create powerful beings but it is not always so as a child can just as easily not even be able to touch the force itself. TheJadeite works to identify these bloodlinesand continue them, bringing many into the order and with some jedi we have discovered know where children of jedi were sent and located.
