Resident President Meme
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
- Intent: To create an antagonistic npc for Darlyn Excron
- Role: Former Master
- Permissions: N/A
- Links: Darlyn Excron, The Anam
- Age: 65
- Force Sensitivity: Master
- Species: roughly 75% Human and 25% Anam
- Appearance: Formerly a tall man of 1.8 meters, he’s shrunk somewhat as his body ages and stands with a slight hunch. He has bright yellow eyes contrasting against his pale, almost deathly sick looking skin and grey hair. He very visibly shows his age in all aspects, and in fact could even be easily confused with being older due to his appearance and behavior.
- Name: Jahepet Blidre, Darth Athair (AH-her,‘Father’)
- Loyalties: Himself
- Wealth: Moderately wealthy, due to criminal activities.
- Notable Possessions: Blue lightsaber, Sith Robes
- Skills: Skilled in the Force and the Niman lightsaber form. Powerful wielder of Force Lightning, and Pyrokenisis, among other powers. Has been studying Transfer Essence in preparation to take over the younger body of his former apprentice (Darlyn Excron).
- Personality: Sadistic to the core, despite behaving outwardly like a caring father, or now grandfather, figure. Tends to use the outward appearance he has cultivated in public to hide his otherwise overwhelmingly sadistic tendencies and superiority complex.
- Weapon of Choice: The Force, with lightsaber backup
- Combat Function: Primarily uses both fire and lightning force abilities to overwhelm his opponents or restrict their options from a distance. When forced into melee, he uses his lightsaber for simple, efficient cuts and thrusts due to being unable to produce the strength and speed of his youth.
- Powerful Force Sensitive: Spending much more time studying the Dark Side of the Force than fighting has given Athair plenty of time to concentrate on mastering his use of the Force.
- Manipulation: Furthermore, he has grown adept at manipulating the common man without the use of the Force. This assists him in controlling a situation for his own benefit without having to otherwise risk straining himself.
- From the Shadows: Working from the shadows has its benefits, such as allowing him to learn essential techniques for combating opponents without direct confrontation. Similar to manipulation tactics, however much broader and including minor slicing, lockpicking, and other ways to force a situation into his control.
- Dueling: While certainly not incapable of fighting blade to blade, Athair has passed his prime for lightsaber combat. Use of the Force allows him to fight, but is no substitute for simply being able to fight without it. This makes dueling excessively draining.
- Physically Weak: Due in part to his age and lack of dedicated strength training, Athair is physically weaker than most potential opponents and requires the use of the Force to augment himself to keep pace with relatively standard opponents. He is also significantly less durable for the same reason.
Darth Athair was born to his mother and father on a backwater world, far from the eyes of civilized folk. His father was half Anam, a mostly unknown species to his human wife, and taught his son much about his heritage. The language, history, everything he could think of at the time. The boy was enthralled, even up to the day he set off on his own to find his own destiny. He wandered the galaxy, eventually finding tutelage under an older man, and became slowly indoctrinated into the Sith way of thinking. When eventually he overtook his Master, he gave himself a title in the Anam tongue. Darth Athair, a rather nice way to proclaim his superiority.
As a Sith, he would undertake multiple criminal activities, making sure to keep a sizable fund for whatever dark deeds he felt most necessary at the time. Eventually, following the trail of a pureblooded Anam out in the galaxy, he found a young child, perhaps no more than seven, falling from a building’s second floor, with police at the front. He would have left, but noticed both the boy’s Sensitivity, and remarkable resemblance to how his Father appeared. He took the boy in, and took his DNA while he recovered just to be sure. Half-Anam. He knew he was already beginning to age due to the Dark Side that filled his every bone and drop of blood, but this boy should have sterner stuff.
He decided to use some underworld contacts to begin creating a second body, a copy of the boy he had taken in, while he had the boy train under the harshest of conditions. If he died, he would need a backup. IF he didn’t, he needed the boy to be trained so he would be able to transfer properly. The whole while, sending the boy on missions with the few mercenaries he had hired for long term service as he studied the process to transfer his essence. Eventually the boy failed, which meant he would have to kill him, but before he could the boy managed to slip away.
That was fine enough, he was destined to die anyways. He set to work training the backup from the day it was stable enough to move freely, until he heard rumours. Rumours, and more than a little bit of verifiable news. There seemed to be a second chance to take back a part of his birthright. His young apprentice had flourished into a perfect vessel.
