- Role: Red Lady (an employee)
- Links: Red Lady, Establishment (Spira), Asteria deWinter
- Age: Twenty-five
- Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User
- Species: Twi’lek
- Appearance: Jahvupa stands at 5’10’’ (178 cm), has pink skin, blue eyes and typical lekku. She likes to stand out with her clothes and wear bright colors. As she entertains her guests with dance a lot of the time, her outfits reflect this, being eye catchy, having interesting details but nothing that will get in her way. Off work, she keeps the bright color idea but it's not quite as flashy.
- Name: Jahvupa
- Loyalties: Red Lady, Asteria deWinter
- Wealth: Average, earned through working within the Red for the last eight years
- Notable Possessions: Shared room (middle level) in the Spira Establishment
- Skills: Eloquence, negotiation, various forms of dancing, a quick study, intelligence, charisma, reading people, languages (Twi’leki, Galactic Basic, Durese)
- Personality: Jahvupa has always been in some regards too friendly and in some regards naive in dealing with strangers, which had landed in her in plenty of troubles growing up. It’s even how she’d ended up on Spira, after having made a bad deal with a club owner in Nar Shaddaa, signing a contract when she was far too innocent to understand what she’d agreed to. Educated and trained within the Red Lady, she’s grown bolder and braver, able to show her confidence without fear that it will cost her in any way. In some ways, she’s still naive and she likes to have fun, likes to have adventures but she’s grown serious enough to mind her responsibilities and duties.
- Weapon of Choice: Dancing, Words
- Combat Function: Completely limited or almost nonexistent. Jahvupa can protect herself to an extent, she can shoot a firearm without much precision but she requires protection from others.
Some simple self-defense moves
Not afraid to shoot even if she can’t aim, she might get a hit by accident at best
Weaknesses:
Impossibly bad at aiming
Couldn’t hold up in a real hand-to-hand combat
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The expression she could dance before she could walk is one that applies so well to Jahvupa. Her mother had been a dancer and even from her earliest memories, she was watching the older Twi’lek dancing and listening to music her mother used to practice for her dance routines. It bad been just the two of them from the beginning of their life and because credits were scarce, the two left Ryloth, where Jahvupa was born, in search of work. Though her mother could provide them with enough to put food on the table and clothe them, she’d been killed when a stray slug hit her in the chest, leaving a then fourteen year old Jahvupa to fend for hers.
All alone in the galaxy, Jahvupa tried to work simple jobs in small diners though she wasn’t very good at the work that they usually didn’t keep her for long so she’d dance in the streets, collecting spare change for her meals. After about a year, a club owner had approached her, offered her a job and a roof over her head. Jahvupa accepted, signed a contract she didn’t understand and began working incredibly long hours with unfavorable customers. It went on for two years. Though she had a roof over her head, it was filled with other dancers who were in similar situation as hers and while they were fed, it was the healthiest of choices. The long hours and a strict regime were hardest for.
It was there that she was discovered by a man who was a regular client at the Red Lady, mesmerized by the young Twi’lek’s dance that he mentioned this on his next visit to the HQ, catching the attention of its staff. When a scouter for the company arrived, the sight of the place hadn’t been to his liking at all but he quickly see that the young dancer was remarkable. Her previous boss had refused to give up on her but in situations such as these, when someone so talented had been discovered that would be suitable for the Red Lady, the scout was tasked with convincing the patron by any means necessary. Credits would have been enough in this case, a slightly above average sum for the Red Lady but a greedy amount for the establishment’s owner.
Jahvupa arrived to Coruscant first where she had began her training. She began at the lowest level, dancing for the most part. Her dancing required little improved, just needed to be more refined to be classier. As a quick study that Jahvupa was, she learned quickly and drew attention, dancing through her shifts which were shorter than what she had been used to. Other aspects of her job required some getting used to but she quickly learned that it was up to her which clients she socialized to which she eventually got used to.
Three years of working on Coruscant, she’d been promoted to the middle level within the company and quickly after. She’d been there during the Netherworld event, witnessing the firestorm from within her room in the Red Lady HQ and soon after, witnessed her roommate disappear, causing her to panic. She’d reached out to the staff quickly, informing them of her disappearance but would soon be informed alongside the rest of the employees of the incident, given assurance that the odd occurrences
She’d been sent to Spira to continue her employment there right after it had been completed.. It has been five years since. Jahvupa has been on the fast track and her seniors expect her to progress to the highest levels in the within the next five years though because of her advancement in some of her skills, she’s already began training new employees.
