[SIZE=9pt]– Xander Corbal when hearing the first proposal of the Jaina’s Devotion-Class Frigate[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]The Jauna’s devotion was designed to be a solely an anti-starfighter platform, but Xander’s insistence saw the ship being equipped with minor capital weaponry to give it the ability to at least slightly damage larger craft or bombard planetary targets. This upgrade in weaponry, though small, was enough to force the design team to rethink the original design. Instead of a tank of craft, they would make a small and agile craft capable of keeping up with swarms of fighters and allow it to out maneuver larger craft (in the interest of its own survival).[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]To get this extra speed and maneuverability, they stripped the original frame and rebuilt it using lightweight Desh-Terenthium compound. This lightweight alloy was traditionally used for sub-class vehicles and offered no real reinforcement. However, it would serve as a fine frame substitute to give the Jaina’s Devotion-Class a fighting edge over most of its opponents. [/SIZE]
