Hi, master Jairdain. my name is Zane Rider, I'm new here, I heard this is the place where they train people like me, some recommend you as a teacher, I was wondering if you can train me to help me learn and how to use my gift.

 

[Jairdain]

"I thank the people for recommending me. Come in."

Opening the door to her office, Jairdain invited the newcomer to enter.

"Can you tell me anything more about yourself, Zane?"

Zane enters the room

"Well, I was born on Nar Shadda. When I was little I know this gift was strong with me. I learned how to Slice from my father, and after graduation. I became a freelance slicer then got into Smuggling, and other operative things. I own a ship with my girlfriend Dani. I also own two droid astromech and protocol. I'm also a good talker."

 

[Jairdain]

"Ah, it seems you have a higher education than I do. My planet was destroyed when I was fifteen. Didn't go to school after that."

Offering him a seat, she takes one across from it.

"Droids certainly have their uses. I don't own any because they are not living, I can't see or sense them Do you already know any skills?"

[Zane Rider]

Zane sits in the chair the was offered

"I do know how to push or pull things but it happens when I concentrate really hard. As I said I need help on how to control this gift. I can feel it every day."

 

[Jairdain]

"Do you want anything to drink?"

She had glasses ready to be filled with water if he wanted and would provide that for both of them.

"First, then you should learn the Jedi Code. Before we get any further, you need to memorize it. Unless you already know it."

 

[Zane Rider]

"Thank you Master Jairdain, May I have a copy of the Jedi code?"

Zane takes the glass of water then drinks it.

As she poured the water, she recited the Jedi Code for her new Padawan.

"There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force.

"You might hear different ones from time to time, but that is generally the most accepted version."

Retaking her seat, she waits to hear if he has any questions.

"It has already begun, Zane."

Zane feels nervous as he is starting his training with his first teacher that will train him in the ways of the force.

"Let's meditate then."

Even though she was blind, she still closed her eyes and fell into a meditative state quickly. This was where Jairdain was strongest. Working with the Force and if Zane also meditated, they could walk these paths together.

 

[Zane Rider]

As Zane gets up from his seat he then first takes off his vibrorapier and heavy blaster pistol sits down lotas style cross-legged next to his new master putting his weapon next to him then he closes his eyes and following his master's example breathing in and out slowly, then concentrate, letting the force follow threw him, quoting the Jedi code in his head as he meditates, ignoring all distractions around him, reaching out with his feeling, and not forcing the follow, but letting it follow in him. Zane remains calm as the force is going into him stronger than ever. As Zane mediates he remembers his childhood as he hadn't felt this feeling when he was on Nar Shadda. He mediates still quoting the Jedi code in his head and remains to mediate until his master awakens him.

 

[Jairdain]

Noticing Zane was able to fall into a meditative state quickly, she waited until he was well and deep before attempting something.

Can you hear me?

This was said in his mind and not actually spoken. Telepathy was one of the first skills she always taught her Padawans. If Jairdain was being honest, she was a mentalist so any physical training for fighting would need to be by another Master.

 

[Zane Rider]

"Yes, Master I can hear you."

Zane is surprised to hear his master's voice in his head but does not break concentration as he mediates and lets the force flow through him. Zane still reminds in the lotas cross-legged sitting and does not open his eyes as he remains calm sitting.

 

[Jairdain]

Feeling the surprise Zane did, she was also a little surprised it didn't pop him out of his meditation. Staying in this state, she connected fully with him.

Very good. This is called telepathy. There might come a time when you will need to use it. Does your girlfriend also use the Force?"

If she did, then maybe she could also be trained.

 

[Zane Rider]

"No my girlfriend doesn't have the force, master ismet."

Zane still reminds in the lotas cross-legged sitting and does not open his eyes as he remains calm sitting. Zane reaches out to feel his new master connection in the force.

Someday you might be able to use telepathy without needing to be in a meditative state. You'll just have to practice with another Force user.

Maintaining the connection for a while, Jairdain eventually pulled away and returned to being awake and aware.

"It's clear you have a good start. Now, do you know how to deflect blaster bolts?"

 

[Zane Rider]

Zane awakens from his meditation then looks at his master with a confused look like huh?

"With what master?"

Zane feels different after meditating and knowing that he can now truly feel the force. Zane still remains sitting in the lotas cross-legged pose looking at his master.
