- Space Station Name: Jakku Trading Post
- Station Model: Lormar-class Space Station
- Classification: Merchant/Commercial
- Location: In orbit around Jakku
- Affiliation:
- Population: Sparse
- Demographics: Like Jakku’s population, their space station has a wide array of creatures who lay their head to rest there.
- Accessibility: The Jakku trading post has moderate accessibility. Though it is far from the action of the core, the construction of the Starbird Trade Spine brings many near its orbit. It is open to the public, though the guild does have guarded areas that are off-limits to those not on guild business.
- Traffic: High. Despite its low population, the trading post sees its fair share of people passing through. Being located along the trade spine, many stop to refuel, have a hot meal, and rent quarters for the night. The guild has shipping facilities for it’s processed scrap, so the material can be moved, making for frequent coming and going from those on guild business.
- Description: The station itself is a black, two tiered, vertical metal structure that sits against the orange backdrop of Jakku. Inside, it’s rooms are silver, and it still has that new station smell. Most areas are kept tidy and free of debris by the maintenance crew.
POINTS OF INTEREST
- “The Hub” - A large marketplace of various vendors. Some are Jakku natives, selling whatever they can get their hands on, though ship scrap specifically is prohibited for sale in the hub. Others have ventured from outer worlds to profit off the station’s place on the Spine. From food stalls to crafts to black-market weapons, you can find just about anything in the hub. Vendors must pay a stall fee in order to sell their goods here.
- The Cantina on Level 25 - Also referred to as simply “The Cantina” or “Level 25”, the guild financed the cantina as a source of revenue from travelers seeking refreshments. It’s a seedy joint, often filled with smugglers and bounty hunters.
- Travelers Quarters - Rented out by the Commerce Guild, those passing through can choose to rent a room on the station if they feel the need. Rooms are adequately furnished, most having a bed, chair, and dresser, thought the quality of all are lacking.
- Scrap and Ore Processing Facilities - The station has several areas devoted to the Commerce Guild’s scrap business. Most are simply storage rooms, devoted to storing and bundling scrap purchased from the surface. The refinement facilities are also located here, for smelting ores from the world below.
- Commerce Guild of Jakku offices and boardrooms - Due to the lacking amenities of the world below, the Commerce Guild decided to furnish offices for the council members as well as board rooms. This provides an area to field visitors interested in supporting their endeavors without exposing them to the harsh environment of Jakku.
- Crew Quarters - Respectable spaces for those who man the station. They are provided free of cost for those who provide station maintenance or find themselves on Guild business.
SECURITY
- Provide a Security Rating: Low

- Reinforced Hull
- Security Droids for restricted areas
- Daily patrol of sector from Alliance forces for immediate threats
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
When Jakku was associate member status in the Alliance, Annasari was referred to the Alliance subcommittee on planetary development to further aid Jakku and begin building their non-existent economy. As she began plans for the planet’s infrastructure, a space station along the Starbird seemed an obvious place to start. Given the Alliance and Jakku would both benefit from such a structure, the subcommittee agreed to provide funding. The Lamar-Class model was chosen as it would meet both traveler’s needs, as well serve as a less costly option for ore refinement, rather than building and maintaining those structures on Jakku. The Galactic Alliance purchased the station from KDY and ordered installation in Jakku’s orbit. Upon establishment of the Commerce Guild of Jakku, the subcommittee agreed to let the planetary government see the day-to-day running of the station.
