Strength:
- Experienced: Jalek began military training with his uncle Arslan when he was only 12 years old, learning the ins and outs of fighting and battle quickly. His many years of military service have sharpened his skills, giving him intuition and gumption.
- Hardened: Jalek has fought many battles and wars, desensitizing him to the violence and carnage of warfare. He has no issues knowing that he is sending men to their deaths and has no issue if it can be done to gain victory.
- Close Quarters Combat: Jalek excels at close combat fighting, preferring the use of fists and knives over a blade. When not on the battlefield he is often practicing his fighting moves in a personal gym.
- Physically Fit: The negative effects of age have barely caught up to Jalek, as he has enhanced strength and endurance from years of training.
- Strategist: Jalek applies battlefield strategy in every aspect of his life, many social gatherings and casual conversations he uses simply to benefit himself and his overall mission. He knows what the value of almost every single action is and knows when to act and when not to.
- Stealth Training: Jalek spent a time in Covert Operations during which he learned advance tracking and covertness.
Weaknesses:
- Traumatized: The death of Jalek's wife and child, as well as the long amount of torture he endured, mentally snapped him. This is a dark memory in the recesses of his mind that can be easily brought forth by force powers to incapacitate him.
- Questionable Methods: Jalek's willingness to sacrifice troops and lives, as well as other moral transgressions, often put him at odds with the Republic Higher ups and Jedi Order.
- Shrapnel: The shrapnel in Jalek's head connects to his brain, so in extreme temperatures or lightning the shrapnel will conduct the conditions straight to his brain causing major damage.

Personality: Jalek is a military man through and through, letting his responsibilities take priority over his own personal goals. He sees every situation from a strategic point of view and analyzes it in order to get an idea about how he can most benefit from it. Jalek is a hardened and cold man who prevents his emotions from getting in the way of what he needs to do in order to succeed, which causes people to view him as harsh and unforgiving. Only when Jalek is off duty and in a good mood is when he allows himself to relax and show emotion, becoming much friendlier and warming though in reality it is just a ruse to gain favour with people he sees as useful. Jalek's lack of emotion and coldness is due to sociopathy, a development that happened to him after being heavily tortured by Imperials and witnessing the murder of his close family in front of his eyes. Jalek also has an intense hatred of all force users blaming them for the death of his family and blaming them for the current state of the empire, believing Jedi and Sith to both be tyrants controlling people who were not lucky enough to be born with the same power as their own.
Appearance: Jalek has medium length brown hair that flows down to about his shoulders and is kept in a ponytail in the back. His face and body both contain many prominent scars and lacerations from interrogations and battles. His two most recognizable wounds are his eye-patch, which covers an empty eye socket, and a cybernetic left hand that replaced the one he had lost earlier. Jalek also has a large piece of shrapnel lodged in his right forehead that has essentially fused with the bone structure, although it is located near his pre-frontal cortex it does not effect any thought processes. He has a scruffy appearance, often covered in dirt and dried blood, and rarely takes the time to keep a reputable appearance. Scars tissue covers a majority of Jalek's body, including a massive burn on his lower left back caused from torture from Imperial Agents.
Habits: Smoker.

// Background //
Jalek was born near the outskirts of the Aldeeranian city of Chianar to Ulon Arkada and Leilani Seere as the first of three children with younger twin brothers. Ulon was a Captain in the Aldeeranian military often being moved from multiple stations across the planet, resulting in Jalek never having many long-term childhood friends or homes. Despite his own personal career choice, Ulon always tried to convince his children to choose another path and have a simple life. Due to his father's career Jalek was raised around many soldiers and other military officials which piqued his interest in the military, eventually leading Jalek to go on his own successful career in the military.
During his childhood, Jalek's interest in the military grew and he attempted to get his father to show him tricks and take him to battlefields incessantly, but Ulon always refused knowing that Jalek was too young. Jalek resented his father for this, but Ulon continued to try to get him to pick another career path. One day, when Jalek was eleven, his father was killed while attempting to suppress a minor riot in a refugee sector on Alderaan, he was stricken from a distance by an assassin who caused the riot in order to destabilize a part of Alderaan for an unknown benefactor.
Despite the differences that Jalek and his father had, the latter's death effected his son extremely hard. Jalek didn't attend school for a long time and became emotionally detached, not even communicating well with his younger brothers. His mother became extremely worried about his disposition and tried to console her son, but he rejected any attempt she made to cheer him up. Jalek would eventually come out of his shell, but the death of his father changed his perspective from being a generally happy and optimistic kid to a pessimistic realist.
Leilani Seere's brother Arslan then took over as Jalek's father figure and quickly took note of the boy's interest in the military. Arslan encouraged what Ulon denied him, bringing Jalek to battlefields and showing him how to handle a knife and gun. Jalek's mother disapproved of Arslan's encouragement and his teaching Jalek of the finer aspects of military life and tried to prevent her brother from bringing her son to anything related to the matter or teaching her son, but Jalek always found a way to get lessons out of his uncle. Over all of Jalek's teenage years, his uncle taught him many different survival and combat techniques including how to shoot a gun, how to drive, and hand-to-hand combat.
When Jalek turned of age, he immediately dropped out of school in order to join the military pursuing his lifelong goal of a career in it. After proving himself as an above average cadet and with some favours from his uncles, he was made a low-ranking member of the Orokeet Brigade where he served under his uncle. During his time in the brigade, Jalek made a big name for himself by quickly rising through the ranks and proving himself on many missions. One mission in particular involved a secret Imperial outpost hidden in the countryside of Alderaan that housed Imperial sympathizers, which Jalek lead the assault on with a small team.
Jalek eventually fell in love with a woman from a refugee camp that he was stationed over, who was an Echani who had been displaced by the war between the Republic and the Sith. The pair met regularly during Jalek's shifts and guard duty and when he wasn't on duty he would sneak off to see her. Her name was Atria Covell and the two married one year after they had met and had a child named Eryn, whom adopted most of her looks from her mother. After marrying Atria, Jalek settled down in a house on the country and his climb up the chain of command abruptly stopped as he focused more on his family than he did on his career.
One day, Jalek had to leave his family for a top secret mission which involved a Sith who had been seen near the spaceport and his mission was to capture or kill him, but the Orokeet Squad was unable to find him after a thorough search through the city so Jalek made his way back home. When he entered the house he heard a man address him and saw a man sitting at his dining table, Jalek said nothing as he quickly examined the man. When his eyes saw a lightsaber hilt it became clear who he was, so Jalek quickly reached for the gun at his waist to eliminate the Sith but he was too slow.
The Sith made a quick motion towards Jalek and drew his lightsaber and Jalek pulled the trigger, but no blast hit the Sith. It took a second for Jalek to realize that most of his arm holding the gun had been severed by a single cut, as he crumpled down to the floor clenching where his arm used to be. The Sith did not immediately kill Jalek, instead he lifted him by the throat and began interrogating him about the location of Atria but he wouldn't answer. It was then that Jalek saw his daughter staring at them struggling to lift a gun she obviously did not know how to use at the Sith, who turned around and stared in surprise. Jalek tried to shout at her to run, but before the word left his mouth the Sith tightened his grip and crushed Jalek's throat and tossed his hard into a wall. The last thing that he saw before he lost consciousness was the Sith walking towards his daughter, still holding the blaster.
Jalek awoke with a gasp of pain as the smell of burning flesh penetrated his nose and a burning sensation touched his back, seeing only Imperial interrogation droids and one-way mirror. It took him a second to gather himself and to acknowledge his situation, remembering the Sith attacking his house and his missing arm. Rage engulfed Jalek as he saw the Sith who assaulted him enter the interrogation room, but all he got as a response was a crooked smile. Jalek demanded to know what happened to his daughter but the man just ignored him, instead demanded to know the location of Atria. Jalek refused to answer and just stared intensely at the Sith, who grew impatient and shoved one of the interrogation droids to the side and grabbed a knife and cut Jalek down the left side of his face. That cut was the first of many.
Hours into the interrogation Jalek was bleeding from every part of his body with cuts both long and deep, but he still refused to tell the Sith where Atria was. The Sith began to play mind games with Jalek, revealing to him many details about Atria's past. He told Jalek that she was a former member of the One Sith and that she abandoned them after killing her master and that he was the one tasked with killing her. Jalek refused to believe any word that the Sith said, every person in the galaxy knew that all they do is lie and try to turn you to their side. The Sith immediately shot up when a trooper called from him, Jalek try to eavesdrop but his ears were too damaged. The Sith walked back to Jalek and told him that they didn't need him anymore, so he loosened the restraints on Jalek letting him drop to his knees before sticking a knife in his right eye causing him to fall and writhe in pain before the Sith left.
The Sith left the room nodding to the trooper to finish off Jalek with his blaster before exiting the room entirely. Jalek managed to get up to his knees as the trooper approached him, Jalek placed his hand on the handle of the knife and tried to pull it out. The trooper mocked him and lifter his pistol to Jalek but he got the knife free and stabbed the trooper in the neck collapsing both of them, Jalek rose to his feet and took the blaster from the dead guard as he stumbled out of the door through the halls. As he made his way to out of the facility it became clear that it was just a temporary facility, there were no guards and the place looked like it had been cleared out quickly. After wandering through the halls he found the exit and tried to open the door, but he was too weak to open it. It took Jalek shoving all of his weight into the door to open it and he collapsed onto the grass outside as he exit the building.
He looked up to see his wife, Atria, and the Sith squaring off against one another, they appeared to be talking but Jalek couldn't hear them. Jalek tried to tell his wife that he was there, but he was too weak and couldn't move. Jalek was surprised when Atria ignited a red lightsaber of her own to combat the Sith, confirming what he had said earlier. The two began to duel, but it was clear that Atria was far outmatched and couldn't last long. Jalek had to lie there as he watched his wife slowly get beaten and then, in an instant that felt like an eternity, Jalek watched as the Sith's lightsaber impaled Atria as she dropped her blade. The Sith stood there as her body fell, picking up her lightsaber and then leaving for his ship. Jalek tried to get up and face the Sith but his leg quickly gave out as he fell to the floor, he lay there as the Sith who had murdered his wife escape on a private shuttle.
Jalek slowly dragged himself to his wife's body, embracing her in his arm as he cried. As he held her he felt something snap inside his mind and suddenly there were no more tears, only a cold calmness and fury. After his wife's funeral, Jalek resigned from the Alderaanian military in order to find the man who killed his wife and child. Eventually he found the man and killed him many years later, but the death of his enemy only served to detach him even more. Later in his life, Jalek found his way into the Republic military rising through the ranks quickly to that of a lieutenant.
