Strengths

Jury Rigger(Master of the Scrap) - Growing up with little resources, you have to make use of what you have. Jan taught himself the art of turning useless scrap, into armor pieces or weapon modifications. He is constantly making makeshift repairs in the field, and usually with anything around him or on hand. This is how he formed his makeshift armor and his constant upgrades to his rifle. Also, he can make repairs to ships, droids, and speeders. He lives by this motto "Use everything, for anything".

Survivalist 101 - Growing up on Tatooine, Jan had to get use to living some days without food or supplies. He knows what it feels like to beg, or work just far a ration a day. When he was old enough to hunt, Jan went with his father on hunting trips. He learned how to track animals(and people), how to use the layout of the land to you advantage, and how to survive off the land if necessary. It is even rumored he once had to eat Sand People to survive, but those are just rumors right?

Where he go? - Jan is a very logical person. So going into battle and going in "guns blazing" just doesn't make sense to him. He prefers a method that uses less resources, less chance of confrontation, and more chance of mission success. So stealth, is the way to go. He perfected this when he hunted Krayt dragons in the dunes, sometimes killing them without even being noticed.

Boom!! Head shot! - Jan prefers rifles. Long range and medium range are the only ranges for this guy. When he was a child, and his father took him on hunting trips, and Jan perfected his aim on Krayt dragons, Sand People, and even raiders if necessary. There is just the ability to kill something just with a click of a trigger, while being hundreds of meters away from the target, that is just poetic to Jan. Also, it just seems more efficient.

Knives Anyone?- Jan is in love with blades, and skilled in taking the skin/hide off anything! ANYTHING!

Weaknesses

The dunes are the only things I understand - Jan grew up with a family, but didn't socialize much. Usually he was with his mother, and was a big mama's boy. After his family died, he become even more isolated, and has a hard time forming relationships with people. Also, Jan can act erratic sometimes, because he has not understood the social ethnics of people. So you can run into two Jan's in the galaxy. The quite, logical, socially awkward one. Or the loud, illogical, socially annoying one.(You usually meet the second one at Cantinas.)

Note:(As Jan grows and does more task, he will mature and this will become less of a problem).

Baby fists! - Jan does not actually have baby fists. He is not trained in hand to hand combat, and usually if he punches something, he hurts himself. Don't count on him in a bar fight, if he gets angry he'll just shoot up the place later or slit throats later. If you disarm Jan, he will be vulnerable....that's why Jan makes sure to always be armed.

WOOHHHH HOW DO I FLY THIS?! - Jan is no pilot, He loves land or, anything that is connected to the ground. So if you want a quick gett away, and don't want to crash. Don't hire Jan.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Neither

YES SIR!! - This is the most dangerous aspect of Jan, and the most influential. Jan is a soldier at heart. Whatever he does, he sees it as his duty. Whether it was to bring food home from a hunt, or hunt down Sand People who killed neighbors of his, it was all for duty. He will do whatever is necessary for the mission or task at hand. No matter the costs, no matter the consequences. Yes sir.

Chemist- Jan travels all over and is exposed to unique environments and herbs. Being a survivalist he has experimented with the herbs. He has come upon many failures, but also developed his own adrenaline shots. He has developed many medical items that he keeps in his med packs. But he has kind of been addicted to the adrenaline shots, needing one or two a day to function.

Grey Walker- Jan is not necessarily bad or good. He has done horrible things to people, and cruel and unusual punishment are standard in his mind. Yet, there is a ting part of him that wants to help. Maybe it's something left over from his parents, maybe it's because he grew up so rough he is getting tired of all the bad. Maybe it is just nothing.

Bio
"Bring food to the table, and no one should ask how you got it." his father used to say every time he went on a hunting trip to the Dunes. Jan was born on the planet Tatooine; to an average low income household. His mother was a mechanic and owned a little shop. She got paid to repair bikes or sell parts for them that she forged from scavenge, and work on small ships or droids. She was pretty good at her job, and was the main income provider of the household. Her main employer was the Hutt Cartel, and they most of the time forced her to work by threatening her family. Jan's father was usually away, so she had to look over Jan a lot. She took him to her shop, and kept a eye on him while she worked. She eventually started letting Jan help her, after giving him a crash course through the basics of repair. Pretty soon, Jan became a great asset at the shop, and used his spare time to help his mom forge parts or scavenge at the junkyard.

Jan's father was the wandering type, never coming home for days because of hunting trips. When he did come home, the family ate like kings. Then the next day, Jan's father would go and sell pelts, scales, and other objects he got on his travels. He would leave shortly, sometimes never saying goodbye. Jan never really connected with his father until he was 11. His father decided he needed to be a real man, and get out of the shop. So, Jan's father started taking him on hunting trips, and that is when Jan met the man that was his father. His father taught him everything about the land, animals, and tracks. He even taught Jan how to shoot, until Jan bypassed him in marksmanship. While out with his father, Jan realized why he went out into the Dunes. He was free, from the town, mom, and the Hutt Cartel. Jan eventually went back to the shop, after his mom broke her wrist while trying to install a regulator on a engine. He did go hunting in his spare time around the town, and joined his father on trips, though rarely.

Jan's life was pretty good, until he was 16 and his father never came from a trip one day. His mom got nervous after two weeks, and asked the other hunters to be on the lookout for him. One day a hunter came to the house carrying a bundle in his hands. Jan's father had died, out on the dunes. He was eaten by a Krayt dragon. The hunter gave Jan the bundle, it was his father's E-11 rifle. Shortly after Jan's mom passed away with grief. The Hutt Cartel took over the shop, and pretty soon he was kicked from his home.

Jan got jobs in everything and anything, just to get enough money for a ration. He became a scavenger of the Dunes and started wearing the scavenge as armor as he traveled farther and farther from his town. He even became a merc for the Hutt Cartel for a time. Jan learned how to blend in with crowds and spot law enforcement on sight. He was even trusted with security over the Hutts.

After years of doing jobs and hard living. Jan earned enough money to buy back his mom's shop. He had perfected his armor, a Frankenstein of droid and star ship parts. Ugly, but effective. His father's rifle was still his, though a couple upgrades have made it more deadly. He set up shop and started working in his mom's trade. Jan still goes out hunting too, brings in extra credits. The only difference now, he no longer hunts just Krayt dragons. He travels all over the galaxy hunting other exotic animals, and finding mercenary work to his heart's delight.

Thank you. It's my second post so I tried my best on it. It could be better, but I say I am proud of my character so far. I didn't want to make another bounty hunter(though Jan would take any job, honestly) seems there are so many of those.
