Jansal Corego
A Wandering Soul
Jansal's UAv1-BEHD/MB Armor Prototype
Intent: Personal armor for Jansal Corego and future development source/inspiration for later version of the armor to be produced on the open market.
Development Thread:
Model: Prototype: Universal Armor version 1 - Ballistic, Energy; Heavy Defense/Mandalorian Base
Affiliation: Jansal Corego
Modularity:
Materials:
Weight: 39.38 kg.
Quality: 6.34
Helmet:
Description: While the flightsuit ends at the cervix, steelcloth reinforcement around a magnetic ceiling ring, formed of cerillium, keeps the helmet airtight to protect against chemical attacks as well as adding additional protection to the vulnerable neck area. Additional molf piping leads electrical implements, located between the baquor and miriskin layers, into additional inputs located around the base of the helmet, allowing for a variety of electronic functions; a single plastoid hose weaves into the side, allowing for sustainable oxygen supply in alien environments. The helmet itself is of a polycarbonate base with additional miriskin insulation throughout the scalp and cheeks, with additional functions for both comfort and combat effectiveness; the helmet is primarily utilized for observation, and evidently sacrifices much in defensive capability.
Quality: 5.39
Shoulders:
Description: Designed to protect more integral joints, while maintaining additional effectiveness without inhibiting overall weight, the shoulders, like the knees, were built of Durasteel to withstand kinetic damage; additional bands of calacord exist below, strapped over the flightsuit and held in place by Duranium bolts. In addition, hoisted on the back of the pauldrons, on either side, are individual battery storage units, used to power the armor's internal electronics should major damage be sustained to any integral part of the system, allowing them to support critical operations throughout the body independent. As such, additional welding is evident on the front, due to the weight, and leaves the user back-heavy.
Quality: 7.52 (If the attack is directed from the front, lowered to 3.84 due to imbalance.)
Chest:
Description: As stated previously, though with much more emphasis, large calacord bands exist beneath the visible armor, providing additional support; it is also in this area that more bulky conduits of electrical components exist, singularly in the chest region, providing power and critical operation to the armor's overall systems. Above this, in classic Mandalorian fashion, exists a vest, composed of flex-armor, reinforced by a layer of steelcloth, which provides ample kinetic protection and insulation, as well as a strong support to the internal components. Fastened over this by duranium bolts are sections of polycarbonate, Mandalorian armor (two breast plates, a center piece, and an abdominal plate), painted black and silver, which provide more direct protection to a wide degree of attacks.
Quality: 6.81
Arms:
Description: With additional calacord bands located beneath polycarbonate armor, the biceps are more amply produced to provide greater protection against flanking strikes and wide-arching swings to the side, operating as arm-bound shields against more difficult-to-dodge-or-parry strikes. However, as the armor trails down to the forearms, they slim down considerably into wrist-mounted operating systems; the leftmost wrist holding a small, forearm-mounted computer dedicated to manual electrical operations, diagnostics, and so forth; the rightmost functions for additional weapon mounts. Beyond these exists only a minute pair of synthleather, fingerless gloves for natural grip, leaving these limbs extremely exposed.
Quality: 3.89
Legs:
Description: Here, the calacord bands are the most dense, with durasteel knee plates fastened to the overall heavy and distinctly overlapping polycarbonated plates, outfitted over additional steelcloth chaps to support the heavy gear. It is here the bulk of the protection is fixated in weighty, and powerful-looking armor that both limits the user's mobility and provides immeasurable protection to the lower body, building up to a stalwart bastion of interlocking plates that provide adept protection to kinetic damage. They are also far more thicker than those found throughout the rest of the body, with minimal electrical necessity leading to less need for open pockets within the armor for wires and components to run through. At the most, the armor is capable of registering breaches and damage throughout the legs, as well as supporting powerful magnetic boots.
