- Weapon of Choice: Kind words and understanding and when that fails non lethal means to stop like a bear hug or sit upon them until they calm down.
- Combat Function: A heavy pacifist among the jedi not even carrying a lightsaber
- Force Abilities:
- Natural Strength:The Beorni possess tremendous physical strength to go along with their imposing size, able to dwarf even the largest of Valkyri.
- Highly Intelligent: Having spent millennia honing their understanding of the Force, which they believe to be nature itself speaking to them, the Beorni are generally blessed with great intelligence and a sophisticated manner of speech.
- A Calm Mind: They are a tranquil people, having been isolated from the rest of the world and its troubles. Thus, their daily routine includes meditation, worshipping the Sprits of the Wild and nature in general, and achieving balance in all things.
- A Kind Demeanor: Slow to anger and even slower to resort to violence, the Beorni have lived out a peaceful existence on their island with no enemies to fight. They are gentle, soft-spoken beings who enjoy the simple things in life.
- Resistant to Cold: Their thick fur allows them to survive in temperatures that even Valkyri would deem inhospitable.
- Isolated:Following their exile from the Midvinter mainland, the Beorni have been unable to leave their island due to the lack of materials to build ships with. Their knowledge of the vast galaxy therefore verges on non-existing, as does their understanding of advanced technology.
- Few & Far Between: At the time of their exile, the Beorni were as common a sight as the Valkyri on Midvinter. Millennias later, their numbers have steadily declined to where only a handful thousand of their kind remain.
- Flammable: Due to their fur-covered bodies, fire poses a significant threat to them.
- Lumbering: These towering giants may hit hard in a fight, but their might come at the cost of quick reflexes and overall speed.
- Pacifist: Their peaceful way of living means they have adopted a non-violence lifestyle. Unwillingness to fight, however, is usually mistaken for inability to fight. Such is not the case with the Beorni.
Born on Midvinter and among the few who left the world when the Silver jedi came there... like the jedi bear Kiriko, Jara dreamed of something more and he met several jedi who were friendly. The chance tos tudy the force was interesting enough and mastering sense skilled sounded the best and not lethal of all the things he could do. That was how he met Matsu who knew Kiriko and he followed her across the galaxy learning as she traveled to both add to her holocron knowledge of various force orders spread out and exploring jedi temples. His sense skills able to help a few of the other scattered jedi who were around the galaxy and with them learning. That eventually leading them to Ahch-To and learned with the jeid master about what she planned. Rebuilding many of the circles of the jedi including the economic watch circle.
That was of interest and the chance to do something helpful that didn't involve having to work with a lightsaber and combat was... helpful. The jedi bear wanted to help and so he became a taxman of the jedi... auditing all the costs and looking to make sure they were always spending all that they had or made the most return on their investments. He would spend several years working with others to expand, improve and manage the jedi temple accounts. Where the other jedi went out and did good work he made sure they had stipends for food or aiding others, that they could get the equipment and materials needed in situations that rerquired them.... and most importantly that they were not borrowing from a governmental body that would try and hold dominion over them.
The attack on the silver rest was a nightmare logistically.. the cost and danger of it as there was no measure of insurance that they could claim to aid them... no information as needed. It hurt financially the Jadeite who worked to ensure that the new silver rest was built and Jara made sure with the others that it was appraised and insured with investors for a hefty sum should the worse happen again. It was a safety net and would make it so the jedi wouldn't have to get under the yoke of another government body with the Dissolution of the concord itself. The silver rest was being moved to the high plane and the Ancilla which was a massive move but it was also something more.. Maatsu had given the call and a song in the force was sung as it were to bring the scattered masters back to her.
