+/- Has an unusual self imposed multiple personality disorder. This was a result of him being a very gentle person at first but having to warp himself to do what was necessary to make it through his childhood. Whereas it can be good in the sense that he has no problem getting done what needs doing, it also leaves him with a latent monstrous side. This also means he can be a pure dark sider one moment, and literally turn into someone who has not an ounce of the dark side within him. Interesting but doing it is not really a choice as much as a consequence of his state of being.

BIOGRAPHY: Jareth was born somewhere on the outer rim to a troubled childhood with a family considered respectable. He had many of the things he wanted as a child, from games to other entertaining trifles; however, this came at a cost. He was constantly participating in a war with his father over who was the “man of the house” that he never wanted in the first place. Often he was given things just so they could be held over his head when he disagreed with his father, and this worsened when his older brother left home for the same reasons. Gradually he became stronger and more devious just to survive the constant fights with his father and, if possible, avoid them altogether. He finally survived his situation after several moments where it was almost too much for him and walked away from that hellish life stronger, but he now had a very pronounced dark element. The years of experiencing unwarranted anger and physical violence had hardened him: they desensitized him to lying, cheating, and manipulating when he deemed these actions necessary. He was no criminal but his kindness had a dark side that appeared in him when he was angry. Just remember, you needn't fear him when he is loud, fear him when he becomes deadly quiet for that is when he lets loose the monster inside.
CONTINUING STORY: (In chronological story order by thread)
"There is no Failure in the Force" Chapter: Jareth met a Zabrak named [member="Tarika Sadow"] who agreed to teach him the very basics of the force. Together they traveled to the Zabrak home world and she began training him. At first he struggled to even affect a small rock with the force and so began his training to unlock the force. He eventually, after many hours of meditation, unlocked a very small part of his potential within the force. This power was of the dark side and as such has influenced him very slightly toward the dark side of the force. After days of training and meditation he became capable of simple force capabilities such as telekinesis and the ever popular force push/pull (though only on an apprentice level.) After she found him to be very basically trained she flew him back to the planet Rodia where they met by chance. *Complete/Waiting for revisit*
"A meeting of Two Differences" Chapter: Jareth meets [member="Quil Narro"] by chance at a bench on the planet Naboo and after a short time they become interested in the story of the other. Quil invites Jareth to lunch where they discuss ideology and individual backstory (revealing part of the main back story of Jareth. They finish the conversation and leave the diner; however Jareth is left with a more positive influence meaning his previous dark side influence is less powerful. His aptitude for Force Empathy is hinted. *Complete*
"Potential Birth of a Prophecy" Chapter: Jareth is participating in a Rodian celebration when the Sith, Darth Surtr ([member="Raien Keth"]) arrives to crash the festivities. After a short time Jareth goes out to meet him and stop the massacre. He continually tries but finds the other is toying with him. Eventually, through the dark power of Darth Surtr, Jareth is driven unconscious, his mind defaulting to his dark alternate personality: Dust. Dust decides to walk the path of the Sith, seeking power from the twisted Echani after the death of Jareth's close friend, Jado Wulk. In this chapter he begins work on force enhancement, gaining himself an apprentice level of proficiency within it. Force endurance is also briefly used, gaining him an experimental proficiency in it. He is taught mid combat the very Basics of Shii-cho giving him an experimental proficiency in that form. His natural aptitude for Force Empathy becomes more apparent meaning the ability has awakened, allowing him to sense peoples emotions. He has in combat training of telekinesis and force push/pull bringing him closer to Knight proficiency in those. He also gains control of Jado's company: Limited Armaments. Other things he gains, Jado's twin LAR-34R custom blaster pistols, the jagged metal used to kill Jado. *Complete*
"The Ghost of Jedi Past" Chapter: Dust finds a Holocron among the belongings of his deceased friend Jado. As a result of this discovery, he and his new Sith master [member="Raien Keth"] travel to Dantooine to activate the Holocron. It is discovered that this Holocron once belonged to Jedi Master Plo Koon before his untimely death during the Jedi Purge. After much discussion, the gatekeeper decided to accept the challenge to save Jareth/Dust from the darkside at the risk of making him more powerful. Dust's innate ability to alter the environment with the force is revealed and is currently at a dormant level waiting for him to practice it and awaken that dormant power.
"Remaking the Past" Chapter: [member="Raien Keth"] and Dust travel to Byss in order to look for an ancient lab. Within that ancient lab are a group of strange insectoid droids which are eventually repurposed for his and his masters use. Here he trains his Empathy and begins to learn force combustion.
