STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ Inventive: Jaya is a natural at using tech and able to create and tinker with a wide variety of machines given the proper tools. Yes, she can install a flamethrower into a roomba.
+ Brawler: Jaya loves to fight and is tough as nails. She is an avid boxer and knows how to make hits hurt that extra bit more.
+ A loyal friend: Jaya's loyal to a fault towards the people she considers a friend and wouldn't lay a finger on them. Unless they want to throw hands, of course.
+ A lot left in the tank: Jaya simply doesn't know how to quit. Period.
+/- Excessively violent: Jaya has no qualms about starting a fight. With anyone. For any reason.
- What's subtlety?: All Jaya will tell you is the truth and she'll do it in the most blunt way possible. She is very good at angering people that way.
- Loose cannon: Jaya has a nasty habit of not sticking to a plan if sees a 'better alternative'. Most of the time this alternative isn't any better in the slightest.
- Orders are more like suggestions: Jaya has a lot of trouble following orders, and very much dislikes being ordered around.
- Blasters are for wusses: Jaya will not use blasters.

Jaya has a defined and slightly muscular figure cultivated from her love of boxing combined with her rigorous workout routine. She wears red eye contacts for no particular reason, and her naturally black hair color is accentuated with light purple highlights. She has a tattoo on her upper left arm, the symbol of the street crew she once ran.
BIOGRAPHY:
Jaya Tandris grew up in Tamanen, Bavva with her parents, and liked tinkering with tech from a young age. She can work miracles with machines, being able to fix things that would be considered unsalvagable by most. Many hours of her life were spent creating and repairing all kinds of tech, eventually becoming her primary source of income when she grew up and became more independent.
Picking up boxing at a very young age, Jaya delivers nasty strikes. She has competed in a myriad of competitions and championships, and it was definitely not uncommon for her to come out on top. She practices to this day, and combined with a rigorous workout routine she makes sure she's always in shape. She's always brimming with energy.
When Jaya's is not feeling too violent or in the mood to tinker with tech, she makes music; using specialized machines she created herself Jaya can synthesize all kinds of sounds, which are relayed to a central computer where she mixes it together. She hopes to one day play shows in front of large crowds, but for now enjoys an underground following.
Despite the modest but comfortable upbringing provided to Jaya, she was often found on the streets. She was in love with the street life, where you had to be tough and the strongest ruled. It felt like home to her, and had quite the reputation, often feared due to her knack for fights and explosive personality. She eventually formed her own 'street crew' named the Eye of the Street when she was 16, avoiding the term gang as Jaya believed she did things differently than a traditional group of street rats. She keeps the streets in check wherever they gain influence, but works in an honest way. She will honor her deals, but will make sure you do the same; Jaya makes an example of people who try and weasel their way out of deals after they're made with violence. Her fellow crew members gave her the name Cupcake; she's a genuinely nice person to her friends, but her enemies shouldn't expect anything other than hostility from her.
One cannot live on the streets like Jaya did in First Order space forever without getting caught though, enventually finding herself getting arrested. Jaya then was offered a deal she never expected: She would go free and in return she would serve the First Order when called upon. They knew of her reputation and wanted to utilize her knowledge of the workings of undercities. Originally she wanted to reject it, as she was afraid her absences would leave a dent in the Eye of the Street's reputation, but realized she would never leave prison if she didn't accept. She accepted the deal, despite initial doubts. She would leave the leadership of the Eye of the Street to her right hand whenever she's on a First Order mission. Despite not really caring about their goals, Jaya didn't mind working with them as in her mind she had a free pass to use violence.
After working multiple missions and operations for the Security Bureau, Jaya was 'let go'. Despite putting up results she was too much of a loose cannon to fit their numbers, but had no way of putting her back behind bars. Instead they simply broke all ties with her, leaving her to once again fully focus on running the Eye of the Street. With the time that was freed up she decided on dipping into different underground jobs, using her contacts to get her name out there.
For some time Jaya worked alongside the shadowy group known as the Collective as a mercenary, providing them with muscle in exchange for a generous payout. The amount of work she was being offered left too little time for her to also care for the Eye, however. Now no longer living in First Order territory she saw little reason to continue the crew's operations and disbanded it.
Although eventually the contracts stopped coming in, leading her to assume The Collective had dissolved, she had been able to build up a nest egg large enough to sustain her for a long time. Going quietly into the night wasn't in the cards though- credits were always secondary to the jobs themselves. Jaya saw no reason to give up on what was essentially her hobby.
