~Appearance~

Jeanne-Marie's appearance is not very reminiscent of the classic "Sephi look". People who are not too familiar with the Sephi species often mistake her as "full human" and not a hybrid. While Jeanne-Marie does possess the famous pale Sephi skin, hers is porcelain, and not light purple. Sephi typically have black/dark brown eyes, Jeanne-Marie on the other hand has her mother's crystal blue eyes. The typical Sephi body structure is mostly present on Jeanne-Marie. She has the slender figure and thin waist, along with the common Sephi facial features such as the high cheekbones and high nose bridge. The only thing lost on Jeanne-Marie is the height of the average Sephi. She is rather short compared to the average of her fathers race. Much like her Human mother, Faye is gifted with long silky light blonde hair which is her favourite feature of hers.

~Personality~​

Jeanne-Marie is often considered as a "serene person", large in part to her very calm and graceful demeanour and soft tone of voice. She is a very empathetic person, often trying to look for the good in someone or something when others refuse to do so. Although in recent years she has been tempted to learn self defence, her primary weapon of choice is her words. Almost always opting to diffuse situations with dialogue as opposed to blaster fire.

• [+] Empathy: Jeanne-Marie is a very empathetic person, often taking time to understand people and their situations.
• [+] Way with words: Jeanne-Marie has been involved with the political world for quite sometime. This has led to her developing the skills to use her words in clever ways. Combined with her soft tone and accent, people often feel compelled to listen to her.
• [+] Intelligence: As a child, Jeanne-Marie received an excellent education and excelled in her studies. Her dedication to her studies is something that is proving useful in her adult life.

• [-] Combat: Although she is currently taking steps to better defend herself, Jeanne-Marie has little to no combat experience.

~Biography~

~Bestine IV~
​

The people of Bestine IV are a proud and happy people, a planet know for it's vast oceans and beautiful tropical islands, ruled over by a Duke and a Duchess. The people of Bestine IV had long since abolished their absolute monarchy, opting for a system where a Duke and a Duchess ruled as leaders, making important decisions for the planet and serving as the voice for their people in the Galactic community. Bestine IV is a planet covered almost entirely by ocean, with a number of large rocky, but beautiful islands rising from the crystal blue oceans. Most of these islands have elegant towns on them, a couple have small beautiful cities and a couple also house popular shipyards. The royals of Bestine IV live in the beautiful Moon Pearl palace, built entirely on it's own island.


The Dukes and Duchesses are the leaders of the planet, however there are also Vassals, representatives of each inhabited island making minor decisions for their island. The Duke and Duchess of Bestine IV must always listen to the concerns and advice of the Vassals as per the agreement from when the absolute Monarchy was abolished.

The Duke and Duchesses have the authority on the planet. However, if enough Vassals united in opinion and put pressure on Duke and Duchess, they would have to submit to their Vassals demands. Fortunately, this is something that has rarely happened in the history of Bestine IV. However the Vassals uniting against Duke Kaylan for the first time in his reign, is something that would play a huge role in Jeanne-Marie's accession to the the throne of Bestine IV.

~Early Years~
​

Faye has always lived a life of opulence. Born in to nobility, she was always destined for greater things. Jeanne-Marie is the daughter of the now disgraced, Duke Kaylan and his now deceased wife, Duchess Elodie Antoinette. Jeanne-Marie's birth was a celebrated event across her ocean Home world of Bestine IV.

Jeanne-Marie's life at the court of Bestine IV was pretty reminiscent of the classic court life. Her days consisted of extensive educations in subjects such as Literature, Arts, Languages and History among many other things. Other things Jeanne-Marie had to take part in where routine formal visits to the islands of Bestine IV and aiding her father with courtly and diplomatic papers. Faye was also subjected to constant etiquette training, something that helped her become the graceful woman she is today.

The People of Bestine IV adored Jeanne-Marie and always enjoyed her visits to their islands and referred to her as the "Pearl of Bestine". Vassals and the people of their islands would flock to see Jeanne-Marie during her visits. The people of Bestine IV always spoke of her beauty, pureness and grace. The sentiments towards Jeanne-Marie were high, unfortunately the same could not have been said about her father.

~A Troubled Duke~

The rule of Jeanne-Marie's father, Duke Kaylan Antoinette, was a troubled one in later years. While love for his daughter Jeanne-Marie was pretty universal, contempt for the duke grew day by day. The Duke was not graceful like his beloved daughter. He was brash, becoming more and more reckless by the day. His wife, the Duchess Elodie, used to keep him somewhat in check. However her sudden passing, when Jeanne-Marie was only 7 years old, sent him over the edge.

Over the years, the duke became more and more reclusive, ignoring much of the duties expected of him. To make matters worse, he became increasingly irritated with the Vassals of Bestine IV and began to ignore them entirely. By this point, Jeanne-Marie was 12 and almost never saw her father. Tensions were rising on Bestine IV. The Duke fell in to depression and paranoia. He began to believe people from all over the galaxy, including his own vassals wanted to take him down and steal his throne.

~The Fall of Duke Kaylan~

Duke Kaylan's actions were beginning to become unforgivable. He was publicly condemning and trying to denounce his Vassals for no reasons. He was volatile to anyone who was unfortunate enough to be in his presence. Unfortunately he did not spare Jeanne-Marie from this. He began to believe that his own daughter was now a pawn of his "troublesome Vassals" and he confined her to her apartments in the Moon Pearl palace, along with her chief tutor and lady in waiting, also believed to be pawns.

The Vassals were already planning on moving on the Duke when he committed his final unforgivable act. He ordered the shutdown of all Shipyards and docking ports on Bestine IV. He also made the small Bestine IV fleet take defensive positions around the planet with the orders to wipe out any ships that enter their orbit. The Vassals had reached their limit.

A Vassal, named Sir Luzos Amena, who was also captain of Bestine's only frigate, managed to rally all the other Vassals to move on the duke immediately after the shutdown of the Shipyards and ports. He also rallied the Bestine IV fleet (who were loyal to him) and got them to carry out the Duke's orders to not arise any suspicion.

The day finally came, The Vassals and their men stormed the Moon Pearl palace, overwhelming the Dukes own men and capturing him. Sir Luzos convinced the Vassals to not give the Duke a trial due the chaos he caused and he was executed days after his capture.

~Jeanne-Marie's Imprisonment~

The death of the Duke left a power vacuum, and Sir Luzos was determined to fill it. Those close to him had always known of his ulterior motives. After The Dukes execution, Sir Luzos took up residence in the Moon Pearl palace, had the Bestine IV fleet (who was loyal) leave space and set up defensive positions around the palace. He forced all the Vassals to return to their islands and swear loyalty of him, with the threat of bombardments from the fleet. Jeanne-Marie was 15 years old at the time of the Duke's execution, things for her were far from over.

Luzos had no ill feelings towards Jeanne-Marie, however the fact she was Duke Kaylan's sole heir was a threat to him. To avoid executing her, he decided to keep her imprisoned in her apartments in the Moon Pearl palace along with her chief tutor and lady in waiting. Jeanne-Marie was imprisoned for two years, Bestine IV was descending into chaos. Luzos was not fit to rule a planet. Especially a planet that had never been ruled with an Iron Fist like he was ruling it with, Like how Duke Kaylan ruled it with which led to the initial revolution.

Not long after her 17th birthday, Jeanne-Marie finally received some good luck.

~Rescue and Succession to the Throne~

Bestine IV is in the Confederacy of Independent Systems and was often under the watchful eyes of it's leaders. A lot was happening in the galaxy and the CIS intervening had came to a stop before the Duke Kaylan's fall in to madness. Somehow a few Vassals managed to get SOS calls out the CIS and they arrived in force to Bestine IV. Luzos had no hope in defending against the CIS and he surrendered himself to the CIS forces.

The CIS were now left with the difficult situation of deciding what to do with the planets political situation. Fortunately, the Vassals, loyal to the CIS came up with a solution. They still loved and respected Jeanne-Marie, their "Pearl of Bestine". They rallied together and campaigned to have Jeanne-Marie succeed her father to the Throne as she would have done if Luzos had not imprisoned her. Seeing as this is what the people of Bestine IV wanted, the CIS happily agreed.

At the age of 17, a coronation was held for Jeanne-Marie and she was officially the Duchess of Bestine IV. The youngest person in the history of Bestine IV to ascend to the throne. Jeanne-Marie's coronation sparked hope for the people of Bestine IV. She was beloved, and vowed to do everything in her power to restore her planet to peace and to prosper once again.
