Jedi Bootcamp

A pair of hands gripped the top of his boots as he slipped them on, they were a tight fight and he made a mental note to buy a size bigger. Despite the boots not fitting, everything else fit nicely. The boy stood as he looked towards the boxes in the corner of the room, his name scribbled on them, over the top of a girl’s name. Sopher smiled, he felt at home here, more at home than before. The Temple was where he grew up, where he would learn everything to become a great jedi. Stretching his arms over his head, he made a groan as parts of his back popped from the strain. It was a good feeling and a good change.

Looking over some papers as he finished stretching he saw the assignment he was given. Today he would meet his Master, the one that would teach him every way of the Force. Making a fist, he punched the air and then sprinted towards the Training room. It didn’t take long, he had learned from basics about Force enhancement, his muscles were stronger now and he quickly made it to the training room.

Taking a deep breath, he looked around and waited calmly for his Master. He had put in a request to be trained by one of his heroes, hopefully one would show.

Waiting in the training room @[member="Sopher Jakobs"] sprinted to, Daella stood alone as if meditating. She would have been standing in the center of a sparring arena with a training saber in hand.

When Sopher would have entered the room, Daella’s back faced the entrance. As soon as the patter of his feet echoed throughout the training room, Daella turned her head back. Her blue eyes met that of Sopher’s. Her expression would have been notably less enthusiastic than his - if it bore any emotion at all.

Several seconds passed. Daella remained silent. Then, she turned fully toward her new charge. She stretched out her arm as if to offer the training saber in her hand.

Jakobs,” she said, “Take it. It should be slightly stronger than what you used as an Initiate and shall be another mark of you being a Padawan.

Sopher tilted his head and looked at the training saber. He shook it a bit getting a good feel of the saber; he did his best of course to show that he didn’t think it was heavy even though the saber was a whole lot heavier than anything he ever used. The more he shook the blade the more he got used to the weight; he knew he would have to hit the weights during weight training a bit harder. The boy focused on his blade to avoid the stare of his master.

“It feels good, when do I get a lightsaber?”

Looking back up towards his Master he noticed the boredom on her face and wondered if she was entertained by anything. He let his hand fall to his side with the training saber and shrugged. Why would anyone be bored training a padawan? Frowning slightly, he brought the saber in front of him and readied his stance.

“Are we going to learn Shii-cho?! What about Vapaad!? Rawr I wanna be like Darron Wraith! But BETTER!”

When @[member="Sopher Jakobs"] asked when he could get a lightsaber, Daella quickly replied, “When you are able to construct your own.”

Then when Sopher went off about learning lightsaber techniques, Daella tensed her eyebrows in slight confusion. She lifted her head slightly up almost as if she was to step away. She did not assume a fighting stance as Sopher did.

Instead, Daella lifted her right palm as if to signal Sopher to stop.

What do you know of the Force?” asked Daella.
