Jedi Coffee Hour (Open to Jedi)

Location: White Lotus Tea Shop on Coruscant

The White Lotus was an elegant place where people came to relax and enjoy tea or coffee. It reminded Katarine of a tea loving Jedi Master she had known many years ago and that association is why she had chosen it for her meeting venue.

Almost four months ago Katarine had been revived from cyro sleep by members of the Jakku Jedi Enclave. After the shock of realizing she had been in stasis for over eight hundred years the woman had set out to explore the new galaxy she found herself in. During her travels she realized that the Jedi Order was not the unified group she had once belonged to. Instead there were several Jedi groups in this galaxy and they all seemed different. That was the point of today’s meeting. Kat wanted to know about the different groups so she could find her new part in the brace bee galaxy.

So she’d sent invitations to representatives of each Jedi group and now she sat at a table waiting for them to arrive either in person or electronically via hologram.

Hopefully those that came could explain the primary goal of their Jedi group and what made them different from the others. Katarine wanted to understand why the order was split and how history had formed this decision.

It was rare for Cedric to find a moment of freedom amidst his planning for the crusade. Simply managing the logistics of his burgeoning movement ate up the majority of his days, then there was the political maneuvering to be done with the great powers, and the training of his students. Truthfully it was far too much for one man to bear, and yet the Ashla willed that he must.

A message had arrived on his terminal at the end of one of the training sessions. Filthy and exhausted, he'd only given it a passing glance at first. Upon the next morning, he reexamined the message, and found himself compelled. A Jedi with no home, one curious about the state of the galaxy. Perhaps God had willed he read this message, or it may very well have been coincidence.

Either way, Cedric cancelled his appointments for the next day and set course for Coruscant.

It had been several years since he'd set foot on this world. Last he had walked on Coruscant's surface, he had been its undisputed lord, and now he was little more than unwelcome pest. That suited Cedric just fine - his people had long since left the decadence and the degeneracy of the core for greener pastures.

Clad in a simple black robe, Cedric entered the tea shop. His features were patrician, and he might have been handsome were it not for the lightning cracks across his face, and the bits of synth-flesh that looked just odd enough in comparison to the rest of his skin to be noticeable. Blue eyes narrowed curiously at the only other person whom the empyrean swirled about.

Was this the one that had called him?

"Miss Ryiah?" He asked, pronouncing the name painfully wrong as he pulled up a chair. "I received your message. I am Cedric Grayson, Scion of the Ashla."

Katarine Ryiah
