Jedi Factions

[Fable Rethera]

I went through the Faction section and the Faction ads of Chaos and noticed there are quite a bit of different Jedi Orders/Factions. Silver Jedi, New Jedi Order, Gray Jedi, Traditional Jedi Order (Republic). Sorry if I missed any others.

I'm trying to find a perfect fit for her and if anyone from these respected Factions or ones that I missed could be nice and give me a brief description of their faction I would much appreciate your time and effort to do this for me. One of her strengths (in bio) is loyalty. Whatever faction I decide for her would be the one she stays with forever.

She would require a dedicated Master. Unlike my previous characters here and on other star wars sites I want her to grow through the ranks meaning she needs to learn how to build a lightsaber and use it. She has no knowledge of lightsaber forms and the only the basics of the Force (minus beast control but all is covered in her bio). A side bar is that she is not going to be the ultimate lightsaber duelist but more focused on Force strength.

Before people even ask or comment she will never be corrupted by the Dark Side. She will never be that one padawan that jumps ship for any reason. Loyalty remember?

I'm particularly fond of the Silver/Levantine people, mostly because they are the major faction rather than being attached to one... But, yeah, Kaia's suggestion is probably better.

If you are just starting out, then the Jedi Academy is the place to go. However, if your character decides she requires more zeal in her voyage into the lightside and the fight against darkness - do have a look at a lightside Minor Faction I help run called Ordo Pius Dea.

[member="Fable Rethera"] Vouching for the Silver Jedi (now Silver Sanctum after a merger with the Levantine Sanctum), the Jedi there come from all corners of the galaxy and, as I see it, embrace those with backgrounds otherwise frowned upon by others.

The Silvers aim to eradicate evil and heal the galaxy whatever the cost. We have cells within the Order for those wishing to get their hands a little dirtier in doing jobs nobody else will, and also cells focused on those wishing to heal others and lead innocents to the light, or simply to serve in battle as a warrior.

You will find a place amongst us, and loyalty is what makes the Silvers strong with understanding and tolerance like none other; not to say rules are broken, because even those who walk the fine line between Light and Dark (myself) for the side of good must abide by them or they will find themselves alone.

The New Jedi Order has just formed as part of the Alliance (see signature). We're trying to pushed for a really chilled out feel OOC.

In Character, we're a more driven and militaristic Jedi Order. The notion is to hold the line against the ever expanding influence of the Sith at all costs. I am in the jedi order (the one inside the republic).

While the faction is large the jedi order is not very numerous in comparrisson to some other force user/jedi factions.

But if you are looking for the classical jedi from the films we are it. Most consider us old fashioned and stuck with old beliefs. Which is partly true of course. One might say we are fighting for our survival in the chaos that has the galaxy in its clutches. Perhaps a loosing battle but one we arent giving up. The old jedi code is still taught and jedi are supposed to serve and protect the republic.
As for mentoring I can personally take another padawanl and would enjoy going over the basics with a fresh padawan if you choose to go with this. But there are others willing as well.
