OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
This armor was designed for use by a young Thyrsian padawan, drawing inspiration from both Echani light armor and historical archives of a Jedi armor worn during a crisis that took place at some point before the Four Hundred Years Darkness. The armor was intended to allow the wearer complete freedom of movement while drawing the benefits of additional protection. This had the benefit of addressing a personal need, since the Thyrsian didn't want to wear his heavy armor in the temple or on more humanitarian assignments, yet needed something other the standard Jedi jumpsuit.
Given his emphasis on sword-and-board combat, the left vambrace incorporated a Jedi light-shield into the armor, while the right integrated a Corellia Digital wrist-mounted computer that contained automated slicer tools and a sonic hold-out weapon.
Due to the bare midriff and arms, the armor was ill-suited to cold weather climates.

- Light Armor. Based on Echani light armor, this armor is both lightweight and unencumbering, giving the wearing added protection while still allowing full mobility and freedom of movement, such as for Teras Kasi or Echani Martial Arts.
- Strength Enhancing. Designed for use by one of the younger padawans, the use of combat gloves and strength enhancers allow the wearer to literally punch above their weight.
- Self-Repairing. The laminanium acts as an ablative coating, protecting the duraplast armor plating. Due to the unique properties of laminanium, this coating is capable of repairing minor cracks and chips in the armor to help maintain it in the field.
- Light Armor. The protection afforded by this armor is more than clothing, but less than that given by full duraplast armor. The laminanium coating is durable, but thin, and the duraplast plating is only rated to light grenades.
- Limited Area of Protection. Primarily the chest and forearms, leaving the head, elbows, and abdomen exposed.
- Limited Self-Repair Capability. The laminanium is a coating, not a full layer of armor, and not full laminanium plating. It cannot repair damage beyond scratches or minor dents.
