With the Jedi Alliance and Jedi Academy Network linking together Jedi from across the galaxy, the decision was made that a Jedi Padawan Tournament should be held to showcase the skills of the Jedi Padawan and to provide dueling experience to students of the Jedi. As a reward to symbolize victory for the winning padawan, this lightsaber was constructed by Jedi Master Kian Karr. The hilt is more ornate than those typically carried by Jedi Padawans. Additionally, the lightsaber blade is fairly unique, being a silver blade. Additionally, a Pontite Crystal (a rare form of Adegan crystal) is used, which aids in calming the temperament of the wielder.
