Jedi Temple Hallway

After coming back from the Jedi archives, Kitani continued her trek through the halls of the temple. She had a bit to think about as she slowly made her across the rug. She had no place to go exactly but other then her own room. She lets out an exhale as she brings her hand through her hair and decided to do something else then just sit in her own room possibly doing nothing then just wallowing in her own thoughts. She quickly made her way through the passing people and attempted to make her way out of the temple. She was going rather fast as she speed walk to though people. More then often she would slightly bump into people, nothing that would stop her from moving.

Simplistic, and easy is how I like my days now. Seeing as how I have had to deal with the missions, the fighting on Dantooine against a new group called the Primeval, as well as my training as a Mandalorian Knight, I knew that there was a lot on my plate. Since returning to the Silver Jedi, I have taken my spot back on the council, as well as training myself. Seeing as how I have been out of battle for a while, I needed to get back into shape. Many commented to me that I seemed to have matured since when I was first promoted to being a Master. As well as my joining of the Silver Jedi Order. So much has changed that when I had returned to my room back on Voss, I didn't know why I kept any of that stuff.

Seeing as how there was a new setup of a net of Jedi who convened together to keep in touch with one another, I came to one of the temples to see what this was all about. Walking through the temple's halls, I looked around me seeing that there were a number of people about. So many that had joined in my absence. Now that I have returned, I felt at home. I smiled a little when I looked to a group of padawans that were being led and shown around.

Probably the new classes that were starting. I knew that I would be called to teach someone soon. Nonetheless, I turned back around to see a padawan almost running down the hall. Female, white hair, maybe Echani? I couldn't be sure. However, she looked almost troubled. Opening my hand out, I pressed it in front of her. Hoping to stop her and her almost rampart running.

"Whoa. Relax there. What's wrong young one? Why such the hurry?"

Kitani was running head strong through halls until a hand abruptly came in front of her. If it was under any other circumstances, she would evade the sudden hand movement but seeing that her mind was beyond the walls the sudden hand would be run into and sent her flat on the ground.

" Oof" She lets outs as she looks up towards the towering figure. If she was younger she would instantly begin to start a fight but seeing that she was starting show signs of her past life, she would quickly begin to bite her tongue.

"I'm sorry.." Upon closer inspection and of course the light saber, she was not sure who this was but there was something about him that was rather familiar.

Looking down at her from my height, I looked over the Padawan who seemed still young, yet older than what was considered a youngling. Probably because she was just given one of the promotions from youngling to a Padawan. Her smaller body frame seemed to dwarf in comparison to mine. However, I smiled as she said that she was sorry.

I shook my head. Clearly she could see the double bladed lightsaber on my belt. Made out of electrum to signify my mastery of the force, and of lightsaber combat. Good thing I wasn't carrying my hammer today. Nonetheless, I lowered my hand and cocked my head to the side with an eyebrow raised. Questioning her again,

"Not sure if you heard me, but is everything okay? You running in these halls must mean something is up."

Normally Padawans who were running were either late, or just wanted to get somewhere really fast. There was however sometimes where they just felt like it. Rare on some occasions there was something wrong, but I would rather ask than assume that they were just running for the reason of "I need to get back to my room to practice playing Pazzak!"

Kitani nods her head as she pulls herself together and dusts herself off as she stands up. There was in fact something wrong with her and in short she felt as if everyone she was running into became someone that she just lets go and speak her mind. She looks up at him looking clearly looking distress and was wondering if this man was also a Jedi master. She clearly felt something from this man.

" I just need to breath, i feel a bit overwhelmed inside.." She softly lets out

[member="Xander Carrick"]

Looking to her as she softly spoke about needing a breath, I smiled lightly. Looking as others were moving around us, I decided that standing right in the middle of the hall was not a good idea. I nodded to her and spoke in an easy tone. Calm to keep her sedated to a point so she didn't seem to burst into tears or anger.

"How about we move out of the way."

Gently, I placed my hand on her shoulder and led her to the side of the hallway. Keeping us out of the way of others, and to allow us to have some space as well. If she wanted to breathe, then she needed room to do so. Taking a waterbottle that I carried with me, I handed it to her. letting her drink from it if she so chooses.

"Relax. You must be new here I gander?"

[member="Kitani Corandel"]

Kitana was led to the side by the man and frankly she simply accepted. Avoiding oncoming traffic by the rest of the individuals in the temple, they would stand on the side with an obvious face that appeared that was thinking on something. She takes the water bottle that was offered to her and would only take a sip. Not having the need to drink or even eat. She lowers the bottle before speaking

" You can say that...i was trained in the temple in only theoretical portion of being a Jedi...i can now see why " She softly lets out

[member="Xander Carrick"]

I smiled as she took a drink, and followed by answering my question. Her voice was soft, and she seemed almost scared. Her voice barely above a whisper, I looked at the bottle that was in her hands. Knowing that it wasn't mine anymore. However, she said that her training was only in the theoretical field. I nodded my head, knowing that she was one of the fresh padawans. I smiled and offered her my hand.

"I'm Xander Carrick. And since you are new, if you want, I can show you around, or I can help you train in how to actually be a Jedi."

I was a Jedi myself, however I was considered grey at best. I never really had the great zealot attitude of the Jedi in following every rule they set. I mean, I did have a kid with one of my apprentices. I came back so then I could help. I just had a feeling I needed to. Maybe it was to help this girl? maybe it was because of something else.

For now, I would never know. But my offer still stood as long as both of us were alive.

[member="Kitani Corandel"]

Kitani was a bit surprised at the sudden offer of training. She stood there not being able to speak at first, It was first a surprise to her seeing that she has only had training from one individual and even then it took awhile to finally get drilled into her head, maybe his death was enough to strike the knowledge to finally sink in. She slowly pulls up the bottle toward him after he spoke most likely handing it back in a appreciative gesture. With his words and the obvious mastery of the force that he was someone of great skill.

" Thank you Master Xander, My name is Kitani and.." Tears began to flow down her face as she look down towards the ground. She was unsure why but would quickly attempt wipe they away and would power through.

" My late master was in charge of my training before, now i stand before you much older then other Padawans simply because it took me forever to drill in the Jedi code in me.." She finally lets out.

[member="Xander Carrick"]

The girl handed me the water, only for me to put a hand up for her to keep it. She needed it more than I did. However she started to speak. Thanking me and introducing herself as Kitani, however, she started to break down in tears. Her head fell to her chest while I placed a hand on her shoulder. I didn't know what was wrong, but when she finally spoke up about having a master who passed being the only person she trained with. I closed my eyes. She blamed herself for not being able to learn fast enough.

I was a one of the few who could catch onto things faster than I could catch a cold. Now as I stood there, I opened my eyes to look at her. I knew almost the exact same pain that she was going through. Losing friends and others is not a good thing to deal with alone. I shook my head,

"No, no, no. It's okay to take a long time to learn about everything. People learn at different paces."

I smiled a little, trying to show her that it was okay with body language as well as words. She needed someone to help her. Someone to be there. I knew how she felt. I had lived alone until I found mine. With the Silver Jedi, I never felt alone. Same goes for the Mando'ade.

"I would rather you take a long time to learn, and get all you can, then rush through and not remember a thing."

I smiled brightly now. Leaning down so I could look to her on a closer eyelevel. To be equals at heart.

"Do you want to go somewhere so we can talk?"

[member="Kitani Corandel"]

Kitani sniff making a audible wet noise hinting that of course she was crying. It was a bit childish but she could not help it. Hearing his reassurance would calm her down but she knew the truth and it was something she will not get over until sometime. She watches him as he got down to her eye level seeing that the man was a towering figure to her. She was not sure as to what will the future hold but maybe this man was in it. She nods softly not knowing where he had in mind.

" Sure, where should we go? "

The passing of people noticing her sorrow and of course feeling it was enough for them to look up in their direction. But with them seeing Carrick with her, their fears was at ease. She never did of course touch -that- subject of the force in that particular way.

[member="Xander Carrick"]

She looked at me. Her face already red from the tears, and her eyes somewhat pink. I brought my hand up, and used my thumb to wipe away one of the tears from her face. Dropping both of my hands now, I jutted my head to the right, indicating to walk in that direction. seeing as how I knew exactly where to go.

"Come with me, I might know a place you will like."

Smiling I led her down the hallway so we could go towards the hangar bay, I reached in my pocket for some keys as I asked her a question.

"Do you have a last name Kitani?"

[member="Kitani Corandel"]

allowed the man to wipe some tears from her face. She was really embarrassed and would look away soon after to regain her composure. She follows his gesture and silently made her way to what seem to be the hangar. She was not sure where he was taking her but she did not ask much questions.

" I apologies, my full name is Kitani Corandel "

She looked around to see which one was his ship seeing that he took out some keys.

[member="Xander Carrick"]

Kitani Corandel. Never heard of the like of a name before. But it was unique just like she seemed to be. I nodded my head and slowed my walking and lessened the length of my strides to accommodate her. I was not the leader, I didn't want to be someone who would think of her as just an apprentice or a lowly padawan. She was a person who had feelings. And so I would treat her with respect. as an equal.

Clicking on the tab of the keys, A speeder across the hanger went beep beep. And turned on the engines. The Stratus Speeder Bike was all that I would be using at this time. Seeing as how the place was planet side already. Walking up to it. I rubbed my hand over the fuel tank. It has been a long time since I used this beauty of a speeder. Vaulting my leg over the seat, I check some systems on it and nodded my head.

"This is currently the only thing I have to get us there. Unless you think I should get my full sized ship to only go a few miles west of here."

I didn't know how she felt about guys and speeder bikes. Nor did I know how she felt about me. But seeing as it was a bike, that means she would have to hold onto me in order to stay on. Some people were not so good with things like this. It all depended on the person.

[member="Kitani Corandel"]

Kitani has always seen this bikes running around Coruscant. Even in the lower levels she seen these parked outside usually belonging to a rough individual. As a child she stared in awe as how would it be like to own something like this. Hearing the engine rev up brought memories of her child hood. For the moment she appeared to be stuck in a trance but his question brought her back. She nods as she assume the position behind Carrick, she did not really mind holding on to the man. She trusted the force and the force was with the man.

"I don't mind Master Xander, any means of travel will do "

[member="Xander Carrick"]

Looking behind me as I could feel her wrap my arms around my stomach and lower chest, I could feel her body heat against my back. I smiled as she seemed really trusting. That was good. Jedi needed to trust one another. Even in situations of life and death. We needed to believe that we can overcome all obstacles in our path. I turned my head back down, revving the engine, and before I took off, I spoke only thee words.

"It's just Xander."

I released the break, and pulled back on the grip for the gas. And the front tire shot up into the air as the back tire had to bite into the hangar bay. We moved a good 10 meters before the tire actually fell back down to the ground from the sudden acceleration. The tires were bumping along for a little before the paved ground allowed for us to smoothly drive past other speeders that were close to the temple. I zoomed back and forth between the other speeders. Smiling as I could feel the wind in my hair once more.

Looking ahead, I could see a crash. It was obvious by the smoke raising into the air. I opened a button cover as we were nearing to the crash. Close by was a ramp used to carry other speeders. Just laying there as the towing speeder driver was talking to the local police. I took this chance to ramp up the flatbed up into the air. I clicked on the button and smiled as a high pitched wine came on.

The wheels moved apart and between the wheels was a bright blue line where the repulsors were activated. Sending us to be about five meters off the ground, and flying over the wreckage. I smiled brightly as I could feel Kitani Hold tighter. out of fear or anticipation, I didn't know. But I kept going. We would be there in a few minutes.

[member="Kitani Corandel"]

Kitani braced herself for the trip as the bike took off. Seeing the other speeders as Carrick zoom past them. She did held tight out of instinct, she never did in fact had the means to travel like this. She nods to herself being corrected by him seeing that he did not like to be called Master. Maybe it was in his teachings.

" So where are we going, Mas-..Xander " She corrected herself

[member="Xander Carrick"]

I smiled as we zoomed over those who were below us. Nobody in our way as we sped along. it was hard to hear Kit, which I am now calling her that, because of how the wind would sweep away the sound of her voice, I didn't turn my head back, but I kept going. Answering her.

"Somewhere private. You will have to wait and see."

It was not even a second later that we broke the city limit and were now going out towards the forests and nature in general. I lowered the speeder to hover just over the ground to reduce the amount of power to keep it up in the air. I smiled as we started to slow down. Coming to the edge of the forest. Eventually I came to a stop. Lowering the speeder down, I flipped the switch once more and the repulsors turned off allowing the bike to fall to the ground onto the wheels.

"We walk the rest of the way."

[member="Kitani Corandel"],

Kitani kept looking around as she was now aware that they broke the city the limit. Her vision was now being graced with a lot of trees. Forest? was all she thought. She of course never seen this part of the planet and simply nodded as the speeder came to a halt. She was compliant with walking at this point, she was very curious as to where they were heading. Due to her old lifestyle she was ready to trek for as long as there needed to be. She had superior acrobatic skills in the event that they needed to get through perilous environment.

" How come you don't like being called Master? " she attempted at a small talk.

[member="Xander Carrick"]

After we both got off and began to walk, it was when she asked why I didn't want to be called master. I just loved having this conversation over and over. However, not a lot of people thought the same way I did. They wanted to be called master because they earned it. I didn't. I kept walking on as I spoke.

"Master is a title given to someone of the Jedi order. It's a very respected position. However, it's also a title used for slavers. The boss who would beat slaves. The title of Master has been grossly overused. Yes master this, yes master that. It makes it seem like everybody who is not a master doesn't deserve their time. I think differently."

I continued to walk on. stepping over fallen branches and around stones. It was a nice and easy pace. Nothing too difficult.

"I want everybody to be on the same level as myself. Everyone has a voice. And I will listen. I am not above you, nor below you. We are equal."
