Jedi Training on Nadiem (Rep Remnant/OPEN)

Nadiem
Enclave Gardens

[member="Lilla Syrin"] - [member="Alexandra Feanor"] - [member="Kian Karr"]

Much of the Enclave at Nadiem was still under construction. with the assault on the front lines of the Imperial advances, and the territory of the Remnant growing day by day, some focus had turned inwards, into fostering a new generation of Jedi.

While she was not strictly adherent to the Order just yet, she did reside within the Enclaves grounds, and live as a guest. But treated it like it was her home. Spacers were known to do that.

Her small hands clasped around the hilt of the training Saber as Master Vrandel one of the senior Lightsaber instructors gave her pointers. Today they were learning Form I and then pairing off with partners to spar.

"Keep it angled, like this."

Veera nodded, angling the blade just a bit more, using a hip to shoulder cross guard.

"Like this?"

"Yes yes child. Ok no dominant foot back, weaker foot up front. Bend your knees a bit. There we go!"

She grinned, sliding about the stones, pivoting to face each direction.

"Good. Now flow through the forms as well. Step, pivot strike."

It went on for some time...

A step, a sloppy pivot. A strike. The buzzing blade cutting the ozone.

"Slow down Veera. I know you have the hang of this but remember, center yourself in the force. Let IT guide your sword arm."

She cast her eyes over to him and nodded, jaw firm.

"I'm trying Master."

Taydo was on a solo mission from the order, being told to go to a location where jedi training was going on to brush up on his staff technique. Of course there were a few issues for him when he arrived, the first and foremost being that Del-ya like him tended to attract attention. After all it wasn't every day you encountered what the humans called 'a unicorn' that could talk and was force sensitive.

Luckily for him he was being sent to also aid the master at this location on the use of the force as another limb, as due to his lack of hands, Taydo wielded his vibrostaff using only the force. He wanders into the square where everyone was training, clearing his throat "I'm looking for Master Vrandel? The order sent me to help with training and to learn myself."

His eyes glance across the grounds, looking at the students training; it was an impressive operation but yet there was a feeling in the force; this planet felt out of balance somehow, and there was fear amongst the hope, he made a note to learn about what other factions inhabited the area.

[member="Veera"]

Carrying a data pad, an ivory silhouette would enter the courtyard. He was small, humanoid, with a long flowing tail swaying behind him with each step he took.

Chaca had wandered out, blue eyes scanning over the training students as his arms held the data pad tight to his chest, almost defensively. His presence was often imposing to force users, and he could just about feel the gaze of others upon him the moment he entered the area. To those in touch with the force, Chaca would feel like a dead-zone, as though there was simply a blank space where he stood, devoid of the force. His presence felt, to many, like a hole torn in existence

Chaca looked around, the timid expression on his face causing most of the staring eyes to go back to what they were doing. It was rather obvious right away that he wasn't a threat. He paused for a moment, watching in slight awe as another student his age (Veera) displayed some impressive motions with her lightsaber. Glancing to her master, Chaca wondered for a moment if that master could be who he was looking for. He silently hoped it was.

Chaca was given specific instructions to deliver this data pad to Master Vrandel. But who was that? Chaca wasn't overly familiar with this place yet.

A voice grabbed his attention suddenly, calling out for the very Jedi master that Chaca was seeking, and it caught the boy's attention in a moment. With mouth falling open in awe, his eyes came to rest on Taydo. He had never seen a being like him before. Equine, with a horn, and a force user? Chaca was rather amazed, and when the Del-ya spoke of who he was seeking, the boy couldnt help but approach Taydo

"Mister? You're looking for Master Vrandel? My name's Chaca, Im looking for him too... Maybe I can come with you?"

The boy asked gently, seeming to keep a little distance from the equinesque creature, as though afraid to draw in too close.

Harley Fenstermacher

remeber it's not personal, just buiness
The Nadiem enclave, Harley remembered the small argument the senators had about the Republic Remnants personal Jedi Order and their involvement in the government. Something the Nar Hasska representative was in favor for, but alas the 4 seat senate that small faction had could not come to a conclusion, but it did spike the half Echani's interest about the force sensitive sect and how they differed from the Silver Jedi or the Galactic Alliances New Jedi Order. That name was always strange, what was new about the Galactic Alliances Jedi Order? well these days the simply the title 'The Jedi Order' was no longer used, each actual Jedi sect went by a unique name, probably so people could tell the difference between them all.

Still from what had be told so far the RR Jedi Order was very community involved, with members joining society and working their way up the hierarchy like a normal person but also being a Jedi and warrior, kind of felt like Echani way of life. So in a way that was it's special little flavor that put it apart form the SJO* NJO*, what ever the CSA* had and ORC*, though a better question was why a government official was here. Well despite all the bureaucracy stuff going and on not actually having any interest in becoming a Jedi Harley was still force sensitive, and turning down training, well that just went again Echani culture.

Dressed in a simple light blue shirt and short black pants the Senator of Nar Hasske approached wandered through the Enclave halls, slowly coming to the courtyard when some Padawan seemed to have gathered. First was the young girl [member="Veera"] training in form 1 from the looks of it. A nice but somewhat aloof girl, Harley often wondered what her deal with the Republic Remanent was. Secondly and most easy to spot came, a horse? okay that was odd, not only where... they? seeming to be calling for some Jedi master but just in general new around. Sure only the some of the Jedi masters as close acquaintances but by the force a walking talking horse would never slip ones memory, 'very very odd'.

It made the snow white Cathar look really normal... wait a Cathar? yet another new face, where had all these new student come from? and why so young? were they exchange students from another order? From other new the Silver Jedi and Republic Remanent had been conducting some trips together, but these two new people did not look like Silvers. "Well if I did not know any better I would say this place is a day care, tell me you duo, where are you from, new here? spacers looking for a place to settle down"? It may have been a little rude to just but into their conversation but Harley was very blunt and to the point, typical politician.

Master Vrandel looked to the other two Padawans that had just arrived.

"Sheathe your Saber Veera. The way I taught you."

"Yes Master."

She bent into a low bow and then deactivated the Saber. They approached the two, boots crunching the dirt as they moved.

"What business do you seek with an old man the likes of myself?" He asked, mirth heavy in his voice.

"Ahhh new students?"

"Can I duel them?"

"Patience Veera. Let them speak."

Taydo felt a strange presence, or rather a lack thereof emanating from near him, being a race naturally paired with the force this feeling very much disturbed him; there was something just wrong about it, something that make his fur crawl and his mane stand slightly on end. He starts glancing around for the cause of it, funnily enough not seeing anything where he thought it should be. It was then he heard the voice from a lot lower down, looking down to the odd fluffy thing stood near him, he listened to it talk about its want to find the master as well, and whether it would be best to go together. He thinks for a moment and nods "I think you may be correct with that, little one. It would certainly cut down on the time needed for searching individually." he looks back up to his normal head height; looking that far down with his body always felt uncomfortable.

As he looks up the humanoid approached them, the being coming across as rather rude and crude with his speaking skills, evidently not a member of any jedi order himself; the jedi taught diplomacy and the correct way to speak to another. He blinks as he tries to process what the man said "Day...care? I think the day can care for itself, it has gone on this long, it will continue into tomorrow without intervention. Furthermore I ask that you do not butt in during official jedi business, sir. I sense you are a man of business, so you should understand the importance of a job." he nods, proud of himself for the comparison.

Finally they were approached by the man he was hoping to meet. He bows slowly, so his vibrostaff didn't slip off his back in an awkward way. "Master Vrandel, I have traveled here as part of my studies to aid you in training younglings in the art of the saber and force, using my particular style that Del-ya have to use. It is thought that the style may be able to taught to others or at least be worth demonstrating how to best fight against it in the event that one of my kin should turn to the dark side. Also I seek to learn techniques from you, Master, so that I may be able to bolster my own range of combat styles and connection to the force. If you should like a rest I will gladly take your padawan aside for some duel training; I may only be a padawan but it is thought I should be enough help on account of my saber skills." he explains, probably looking very strange; an armoured Del-ya with a staff strapped across his back, standing at nearly six foot seven inches he certainly stood above most things.

Chaca clung to the data pad as he looked up at the unique equinous being, knowing from that slightly unsettled expression on his face that Taydo must be feeling Chaca's presence.... Or moreso lack thereof. His smile faltered a little, his right foot making idle little back and forth motions below him nervously as Taydo scanned for the -strange- sensation he was feeling. When Taydo's eyes finally came to rest on the timid little student, Chaca almost expected a 'get away from me!' Or something of the sort. It wasn't an uncommon occurrence for Chaca to be pushed away when others discover that he is the disturbance in the force nearby.

The kind and uplifting words brought back the leonine boy's smile, his rather large round ears perking up happily as Taydo agreed to find the Jedi master they seek. It was always a surprise and a pleasure for Chaca to meet someone new that wasn't trying to push the boy away.

"I think he is probably out here, they gave me this to give to him.."

His gentile sapphire eyes glanced down at the data pad, and then back up into Taydo's eyes.

As Harley approached, Chaca's eyes immediately shifted to him, his ears lowering a little as he spoke of this being a daycare. Chaca looked around a little, as though not quite sure what was meant by the comment. He had silently wondered if Harvey was the Jedi master he and Taydo were looking for.

The questions that Harvey asked were difficult for Chaca. He was such a strange case that none of his answers would be anything short of confusing. Nonetheless Chaca attempted to communicate his answers, after Taydo made it clear that he was here on Jedi business.

"W-well I don't really know where I'm from and I just got here yesterday but the Jedi have been helping me, and.. Wait. What's a spacer?"

He asked, glancing between Harvey and Taydo with a look of confusion. Chaca seemed unfamiliar with the term, despite it being somewhat self-explanatory

Chaca turned as the Padawan and Master now approached, his tail swishing back and forth as he cocked his head to the side a little. He looked up at Taydo for a moment as he officially spoke of his purpose to the Jedi master.

Chaca's gentile blue eyes would look to Veera, glancing between her and the lightsaber as she asked to duel them. The felinesque boy blushed just a little

"I...I dunno...you're REALLY good with that... A-and... I cant really even hold a light saber"

He said to Veera, his ears lowering a little bashfully. He had seen the way she could wield the lightsaber; He couldn't help but feel impressed

He gasped as he realized that Master Vrandel was now waiting for an answer from Chaca. The boy spoke up quick, bowing down with an almost comical speed as he realized he had not bowed yet.

"Master my name is Chaca. I was told to come see you and bring you this..."

Chaca offered the data pad to the Jedi, reaching out rather longly with his arm, almost awkwardly as though trying not to step too close.

If Master Vrandel would take the data pad, he would likely feel Chaca's "field", even in that brief moment of reaching into his range to take the device. Most force sensitive beings could easily feel the force fade away from them, as though for that brief moment they were nothing more than...normal. It was brief, and the very moment they were out of the boy's field, the force would return fully. Whether he would take the data pad or not, Chaca would not extend his hand for long, always seeming to do his best to keep others a few feet away from him

"They said I can learn from you, even though I can't use the force. They also said I can be helpful in training others 'cause of....uhm... How I am..."

The data pad, if taken, would explain what little is known about Chaca.. The fact that the force simply fades away around him. The data pad offered a recommendation to have Chaca serve as a training tool for Padawans. He could be used in training Padawans for a situation where the force was rendered useless to them. In turn, perhaps Chaca could be taught to defend himself, even with his unique set of drawbacks

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Alexandra watched all this unfold and her eyes remained curious about who all it was that had shown up. She had been away from the students of the order, and she wasn't certain as to the names of the other members of the order. They were still completely new faces though and kinds that would not be easy to forget, far from it. Perhaps they were from a different order, she knew that Kian had wanted to bring in other orders as a show of good faith and to a point she had agreed with him but would interweaving their orders with other ones merely mix the teachings and the way the Jedi should act within the republic. She knew too well some orders saw their actions as equivalent to the law, something the Republic had not decided on quite yet, which made Alexandra uneasy if that Idea spread before it was determined.

It was then that she saw a politician seem to be conversing with the students and she smiled a bit at the very entity appearing, or atleast a representative, when she was thinking of it. He spoke a tad crudely, but that was part of the Echani mindset, something she still carried quite readily, still portraying herself as an echani most days with an illusion that returned her hair to its silver shade and removed the tail she now had from sight. It was something both to suit her own preference of appearance, but also to practice with in which holding that illusion for long periods would help her focus whenever needed.

Slowly she approached the group and smiled at the padawans, shaking her head and speaking just from behind the politician and letting her voice carry to those who would be nearby.

"Pardon me, Senator, Perhaps you would prefer to speak with myself rather than the Padawans. I doubt that they would cause any trouble no matter from which group they are from, or be capable of doing such in the first place. Do you not agree." She smiled at the Echani and waited for him to respond before continuing.

"If you do not mind Senator, would you perhaps take a walk with me and talk while the Padawans and masters get back to their work?" She would bow her head to [member="Veera"]'s master, taking the moment also to smile at both [member="Chaca"] and [member="Taydo'la"], letting them get back to what they were doing before.

Harley Fenstermacher

"Ha ha ah, I see you a a horse with a sense of humor, but tell my how did you know I was a man, most people immediately assume the opposite", being half Echani Harley had to take after his mothers looks, and as such had a rather feminism complexion. Not that it was a bad thing, looking like a woman often came in handy for certain tasks, but also seemed to make one get a little more attention. For the moment Harley allowed the equine force user to talk with the master while he diverted attention to the snow white feline Jedi, perhaps petting zoo may have been a better term then day care.

"So a wander, seems many Jedi these days are those that come from a unknown place with not much to do... makes sense, the Jedi are always accommodating". When thinking about it he remembered a similar case with an Echani noble that had amnesia and wound up as a witch initiate for the confederacy. As the Jedi master approached Harley have a respectful bow, "good day to you master Vrandel, forgive me for my casual attire, it did not seem necessary to wear anything elaborate for a mere visit, after all just because I am a senator does not mean I can't have a little fun". Quite the reverse, ever since Harley had been appointed as Senator of Nar Hasska live had become more exciting, with himself attending many events from inside and outside the Republic.

"Do not let me presence bother you master Jedi, I am merely here to observe and perhaps train a little myself, but I must say you have a rather interesting groups of Padawan here today", seemed like the start of a bad joke, the one about all those animals walking into a bar. Still the [member="Taydo'la"], what was this skill he had, a new costume saber form? would be necessary for a race like that, and if his species also allowed riders, well that would make for one hell of a tag team. "Hmmm I am interested in the style you speak of, perhaps a demonstration may be in order, but you never answered my question from before, what order are you based with? you mentioned something about studies if I remember correctly". Considering the other words muttered by the Del-ya it did not seem he was apart of this order, nor the Silver, but neither the New Jedi Order, so where was he from, some minor order from the core worlds?

What ever the answer said Del-ya replied with the conversation was interrupted by a new voice, that of master [member="Alexandra Feanor"], if memory served correctly, an Echani too which was rather nice all things considering. "Perhaps, i guess it is just company practice, when I meet with clients and possibly business partners I like to learn their history and involvement with other people". "Though you have to agree, there is nothing bad about prying into the new Padawans past, this Del-ya has peaked my interest in his sword fighting style", another typical Echani thing to do,, but what could one say, it was litterly their way of life. "As for talking, well I am here myself to do some training if minor, but if the Order has anything it wishes to bring to the senate I can help with that, after all I've always been in support of the Jedi when we discuss it back at the capital".

Lilla Syrin

A great leap forward often requires first taking t
Lilla had been encouraged by her Master to participate. Not to observe. Not to study. Not to practice...but to participate.

Initially she had not precisely ignored the advice, but she had chosen to understand it in her own way. Surely observing, studying and practicing was participation? But she knew he was right, and the longer she remained at the fringe of the Order, the harder it would be to integrate herself.

So she grabbed the Bantha by the horns and decided to do the one things she'd never done in her entire life.

Socialise.

Yes, there was training, but her primary reason for being here was to interact. And not to simply gain facts or test a theory, but to simply engage in small-talk and make friends.

Both of these things were normal. Typical. Standard. But not to Lilla. To the young Jedi they were concepts and no more. She'd never had a friend in her life and had never had the need for polite conversation.

The funny thing was, she accepted any manner of challenges in training, some things being uncomfortable, testing and sometimes even painful. And she did not bat an eyelid. But the thought of going up to someone and simply saying, hi? She came out in goose-bumps just thinking about it.

So she put on a brave face, and managed a reasonably honest smile and walked up to the group, bowing as she introduced herself. "I am Lilla, Padawan Lilla Syrin. Good to make your acquaintances." It may not have been good, but it was the best she could do.

Avin had remembered the first time he had seen the enclave, the first time he walked the gardens and met the other Jedi that had risen to the call of Master Karr. The remnants of a long splintered order. Back then there was a sense of hope but it was tinged with burden guilt and the shadow of previous orders. He looked over to the tree under which the founders of this new order had held the first convening. The start of all this was like a new chapter in his life opening up with the sense of hope. However, when the republic had their way and the expansion started Avin had answered their call and gone off to the fight. He had been in his element. Dirt, blood, and fighting for months on end that was his field of work and he had no place to question the Senate in their decision he was no politician.

Alas returning to such a sight of new faces couldn't help but bring his positive mindset back into motion. Many of them were nearly half of his age but nonetheless, new faces were always a pleasure. Youth and energy just seemed to be infectious when a good training was in swing.

As he continued to look around from the top of the pathway he twigged at a few older faces, Master [member="Alexandra Feanor"] was stood with a rather out of place looking official. He had not yet had the opportunity of speaking with the master since his return to Nadiem but her reputation preceded her. He made his way down the path and observed the groups of learners as they were instructed by seniors or sparred with the selection of training droids that seemed to line the area.

He made his way closer to the master and tried not to interrupt with his presence as the two spoke.
