- Appearance: Very tall and thin, as is normal for a Pyke. Has purple eyes with a slightly yellow tint due to extensive Dark Side usage. He usually suppresses this tiny when dealing with those who do not know his Sith identity. He also has a somewhat short head by the standards of his species. As leader of the Pyke Syndicate, he usually wears an official-looking, green uniform with an ornate mask made of electrum. As a Sith Lord, he usually wears a suit of battle armor complete with a traditional Sith Mask and Cape that has been compared to that of Darth Vader.
- Name: Jej Ulchtar, Darth Exalton, Grand Wsjirari of the Pykes
- Loyalties: Sith, Pyke Syndicate, Council of the Five Syndicates

- Skills: Exalton is a skilled lightsaber duelist, and prefers to wield two at a time. He specializes in Form VII of lightsaber combat, but is also quite skilled with Form V and Form II. In addition, he is at the very least competent in all seven forms. He is also naturally adept at using Force Lightning, and it is his preferred method for destroying his enemies when in direct combat unless the situation calls for his dueling skills. He is also skilled at the manipulation of other people to do his bidding using mind tricks. In addition to these Sith skills, Jej Ulchtar is also more than capable of leading the Pyke Syndicate effectively. His organization and management skills ensure that the Syndicate runs like a well-oiled and unstoppable machine. He also has a good grasp of commanding the Syndicate’s armies and fleets, but usually leaves this task to dedicated military personnel.
- Languages: Pyke (primary language), Galactic Basic (fluent), Huttese (fluent), Rodese (conversational), Durese (conversational), ur-Kittât (understands)
- Personality: While he usually hides it behind a mask of friendliness to those who do not know better, Darth Exalton is truly rotten to the core. He well and truly does not care about the Pyke Syndicate’s victims or their friends and families. Sometimes, he pretends to offer defeated enemies a chance of mercy, only to kill them anyway. He is not just a cruel sadist of course. He is also an incredibly talented manipulator, who can cause someone to play exactly into his plans with nothing but a few conveniently placed objects or idle suggestions. He wasn’t always like this though. He used to behave with more honor than one would expect from a crime boss, and did care about his family. After the death of his wife and one of his sons in a deadly Malchai plague though, he lost any honor and caring he might have had.
- Weapon of Choice: In his public identity, a CC-420 blaster pistol. As his Sith identity, twin single bladed lightsabers and force lightning.

- Underworld Control: As both Grand Wsjirari of the Pyke Syndicate and a Sith Lord, Jej Ulchtar/Darth Exalton has direct access to two large spy networks that span across the galaxy and has potential blackmail information about almost every famous person in the galaxy, ranging from powerful politicians to influential holomovie stars. He also has the authority to command the vast resources of the Pyke Syndicate towards any goal he sees fit.
- Sith Abilities: As a Sith Lord, Darth Exalton has mastered many Sith abilities, but his most powerful are mind tricks, force lightning, and lightsaber dueling. He also has access to some rarer powers, such as Pyrokinesis, Force Illusions, and Force Drain.
- Intelligence: Jej Ulchtar/Darth Exalton is very intelligent, and with insight from both of his roles in life often thinks of solutions to problems most others would not have thought of. He is also very deceptive and can lie near flawlessly whether it is about his dual lives or something completely mundane.
- Strong-Willed: In both of his identities, Jej Ulchtar has a mental strength and determination matched by very few. Once he has his mind set on a goal, he will make sure it is completed in one way or another. This also means he is very resistant to being mind-tricked or otherwise having his thoughts influenced.
- Sleep Deprived: With two very stressful and exhausting jobs, Darth Exalton is just as much of a victim to sleep deprivation as anyone else in that position. He knows that most Sith who tried to constantly stay awake in the past eventually went insane, so he has decided that he would rather not do that. He spends most of his free time trying to get some sleep in, and if he is kept awake for long periods of time, he is bound to start deteriorating physically and mentally faster than anyone else.
- Losing Physical Strength: As he gets older and is further corrupted by the Dark Side, Exalton has found that he is not as physically strong as he once was. To compensate for this, he has to further rely on acrobatics and force-enhanced strikes in combat.
Jej Ulchtar was born in the Southern Polar Region of Oba Diah. His parents were both middle ranking members of the Pyke Syndicate and he had no siblings. He was also force sensitive, and would have likely become a Jedi if he had been born on a different planet. Around the age of 17, Jej formally joined the Syndicate and using a mixture of cunning, mind tricks and strategic assassinations, Jej quickly ascended through the ranks.
He did try to behave with a personal code of honor, but found himself having to violate it more and more often. When he was around 24 years old, he also became good friends with Dazat Eios, who was the Grand Wsjirari of the Syndicate at the time. Dazat Eios also had a daughter named Yerida who was the same age as Jej, and when Jej and Yerida fell in love, the Wsjirari had no objections. Jej and Yerida eventually got married and had 2 sons named Qualt and Glar. However, happy times for Jej wouldn’t last much longer.
When Jej was 28, the Wsjirari was assassinated on the orders of the Neimoidian Crymorah Syndicate leader Terpadas Tokine. Thanks to his high standing in the Syndicate and his marriage to the Wsjirari’s daughter, Jej was the designated choice as a successor. This was quite possibly the worst time to become the new leader, as the war known as the Crymo-Pyke War immediately followed. The war ended nine years later with the Tokine losing, but as a last act of spite, he did something that would change the Jej’s and the rest of the Syndicate’s lives for the far, far worse.
On Tokine’s orders, Crymorah Syndicate agents unleashed a bio-weapon stolen from a genetics lab on Oba Diah. The bio-weapon was an engineered virus called the Malchai Plague. The entire planet was quarantined before it could spread across the galaxy, but even so, millions died including Yerida and Qualt. A cure was eventually developed, and the plague ended a month later, but the emotional scars left on the planet did not. About two months after the plague was over, he met an old, sinister looking Devaronian named Aspar Ihav who had an interesting offer for him. To join the Sith.
Jej accepted the offer of course, and after explaining that he would be going on a leave of absence and leaving a loyal follower of his named Vintelzo Vries in charge, Jej packed his bags, and headed off with Aspar Ihav to the planet Mustafar to begin his training. During his training, he learned that Ihav’s Sith name was Darth Dikter and that he was member of a secret order of Sith that had been founded by Darth Maul hundreds of years prior. Darth Dikter was also in control of an expansive spy network that spanned across the galaxy, which was how he had identified Jej as a potential apprentice. He also taught him how to use Force Lightning and lightsabers with expert skill. Eventually, Jej took the Sith name Darth Exalton and crafted a pair of twin lightsabers and a suit of battle armor.
One of the newly-trained Darth Exalton’s first missions for his Sith master was to kill his old enemy Terpadas Tokine. As it turned out, Tokine had discovered that Aspar Ihav was in fact Darth Dikter, and was unwisely trying to use that to blackmail him. To kill him, Exalton used the Force to deactivate the security system of Tokine’s estate on Deko Neimoidia, and snuck in. When Tokine arrived at the Estate, Exalton did not reveal his presence until his soon-to-be victim had settled down with a delicious bantha steak and a glass of Hapan gold wine.
In the middle of his meal, Exalton began telepathically whispering to Tokine, but remained hidden from view. This terrified the ever-paranoid Tokine, who immediately called for his four bodyguards to the dining room to protect him. Of course, this is exactly what Exalton wanted to happen. Once all four guards were in the room, Exalton lifted the Force Illusion he was using to conceal himself, and began hacking them to pieces with his twin lightsabers. Tokine attempted to escape the massacre, but failed when Exalton telekinetically locked all of the doors leading out of the dining room.
Tokine desperately pleaded for his life, and for a brief moment, Exalton considered sparring him. But then, he thought about Yerida, Qualt, and the millions of other Pykes who were dead because of this one slimy Neimoidian. And any thought of sparring Tokine left him. Exalton ended Tokine by torturing him with Force Lightning until the Crymorah Syndicate leader was nothing but a charred, desiccated exoskeleton. On his way out, Exalton removed any evidence linking the crime specifically to him, and destroyed Tokine’s droid chef and butler to remove any potential witnesses to his crimes.
After this incident, Darth Exalton continued to fall further and further into the Dark Side of the Force. When he was 43 years old, he fully completed his training as a Sith apprentice by claiming the title of Master and disintegrating Darth Dikter using his force lightning after an intense duel. After Darth Exalton claimed control of his old master’s spy network, he headed back to Oba Diah to resume control of the Syndicate.
When Jej Ulchtar returned, he was displeased to learn that a Pyke Baron named Olex Rushkatov had defected from the Pyke Syndicate to start his own criminal organization on Tatooine. Other than failing to stop this, Vintelzo Vries had done an agreeable job of running the Pyke Syndicate in Jej’s absence, so he was not terribly displeased. He had other matters to deal with beyond one rebellious baron.
One of theses other matters was the fact that Exalton had sensed strong Dark Side potential in his remaining son, Glar Ulchtar , and he began to subtly start training him to be his successor. Unfortunately for Darth Exalton, as he hadn’t told Glar that he was training him, Glar thought he was just physically and mentally abusing him for no reason. Because of this, Glar began to deeply resent his father. This culminated when Glar tried to outright overthrow Darth Exalton’s control over the Syndicate with the support of several members of the Hakari (the Pyke Nobility), including Baroness Lansha Aontis. He tried to do this by using a powerful mind trick, unaware that his father was also force sensitive and knew about his force sensitivity. When he inevitably failed, Glar was forced to flee from the Syndicate, and Darth Exalton imprisoned several members of the Hakari in The Chasm and stripped the rest of any role of importance in the Pyke Syndicate. He also sent enforcers and hired bounty hunters to find his son and bring him back for punishment.
Once this incident was over, Exalton recognized the fact that he needed a new candidate to be his Sith Apprentice. After discreetly testing several Pyke Syndicate members and associates for signs of force potential, he found that his best prospect was Jetra Cobalt, a Human attorney who worked for the Pyke Syndicate on a permanent contract. Exalton was slightly disappointed that his apprentice would not be another Pyke, but got over it quickly. When Exalton revealed his true nature to Cobalt and offered to train her, she accepted his offer. He gave her the Sith name Darth Infernia, and began training her in the ways of the Dark Side.
Darth Infernia was a naturally adept learner, and took to using a red double-bladed lightsaber that she constructed using parts provided by Exalton. Once she was well-trained enough, he began sending her on missions both for his Sith machinations, and for Pyke Syndicate operations which require the “uncommon expertise” of a Sith. Most members of the Syndicate mostly just assume that Infernia is some sort of mercenary who defected from the Sith Empire, and certainly do not make the connection that she is actually the prestigious attorney Jetra Cobalt. Exalton intends to keep things this way, in order to avoid greater scrutiny on himself.
Jej Ulchtar’s pursuit of his fugitive son has not gone as well. Several times now, his enforcers and bounty hunters have failed to capture Glar. Such failed attempts include one on Orax, a second on Lothal, and a third on Duros. These attempts all ended with heavy casualties for the Syndicate forces involved. Now, rumors have even reached Jej that Glar intends to take the fight to him in order to put a stop to the current status quo. Jej has prepared for this, entrusting Obliterator Droids to a few of his most important servants. These include the likes of Xoj Camond and Frej Thylvan. He has also been training Darth Infernia specifically to duel Glar (as well as anyone else he might bring with him) in lightsaber combat.
