The process of its creation was not a mere bleeding of Kyber, it was an obliteration of its very nature, a ritual known as 'The Devouring,' where the crystal was drowned in agony, Force-drained victims fueling its transformation.
During the ritual, seven captured Jedi were bound in a circle around the crystal, their bodies marked with Sith runes, their life essence fed directly into the Kyber as it pulsed with hunger.
