Reclamation - The Scouring of Korriban (ground-zero for the 902 ABY Jen'ari outbreak on Korriban)
- Name: Jen'rusalka | Jen'ruu | Rusalki ( plural, informal )
- Designation: Sentient.
- Origins: Korriban's dark side Force Nexus of the Sith King.
- Average Lifespan: Immortal; ( approx. 1000 years, average )
- Estimated Population: Planetary.
- Description: The Jen'rusalka are sinister and sadistic undead wraiths standing at 6 ft (1.8 m) tall, resembling roughly feminine humanoid forms made entirely of tangled and matted, greasy hair. This hair is sharp, like razor wire, laden with subtly embedded hooks, blades, and small weights, further transforming the stinking mass into a deadly weapon. Over time, the Jen'rusalka scalp, collect, and wear the hair of their victims, incorporating it with their own and forming a woven shroud-like cloak which moves and slithers around them as if alive. The hair composing a Jen'rusalka's body is as tough as phrik metal, empowered by Sith sorcery which renders it largely resistant to lightsabers, blaster bolts, and most energy weapons (with the notable exception of fire). Despite this, the true strength of a Jen'rusalka lies in their ability to step into and hide within reflective surfaces like mirrors, polished metal, or starship viewports, etc., making them virtually untouchable as well as excellent spies and assassins. They are cruel and obsessive spirits who take great pleasure in inflicting pain, indeed drawing power from such emotions as dread and despair and considering it an art form to maximize their victim's suffering. In this way, they are fixated upon terrorizing their prey, dragging them back to their lairs and dens where they can be kept alive for months at a time, serving the romantic and twisted pleasures of the doting Jen'rusalka.
The primary weapon of the Jen'rusalka is their own, razor-sharp, living hair. Each tangled, matted length ends in a hook, blade, or embedded weight, making the hair of a Jen'rusalka a deadly and versatile weapon. As they hunt and acquire more, scalping and weaving the lochs of their victims hair in with their own, the reach of this animated weapon can exceed lengths of up to 20-30 ft., allowing them to ensnare and suffocate their victims from a distance. Additionally, they can vomit and spew a reflective, hardening substance up to 15 ft., using it for both offensive and defensive purposes. When hardened, this substance has a similar consistency to candle's wax, brittle and smelling of bile.
As summoned incarnations of ancient Sith spirits, the Jen'rusalka sometimes have quirks of personality or fragmented memories from previous lives. Occasionally, this phenomenon results in the Jen'rusalka possessing proficiencies in as of yet unexplored weapon-combat styles. Moreover, as intelligent and inventive creatures unto themselves, they possess the ability to learn and adapt, possibly even acquiring new, exotic proficiencies as they age.

Force Abilities:
- Incorporeal Hiding: The Jen'rusalka can step into reflective surfaces as one might sink beneath a still pool of water, allowing them to pass through certain solid objects and remain virtually invisible whilst within.
- Aura of Dread: The mere presence of a Jen'rusalka instills fear and terror in those nearby, weakening the resolve of their enemies and making it difficult for opponents to touch the light side of the Force.
- Illusory Duplicates: The Jen'rusalka can create and place numerous illusory duplicates of themselves in distant reflective surfaces, confusing opponents and increasing their evasiveness during combat.
- Reflection Manipulation: The Jen'rusalka can manipulate the images seen in mirrors and other reflective objects, creating illusions to suit their intentions and mislead their enemies.
- Distant Projection: The Jen'rusalka can project cognizant illusions of themselves or other entities into reflective surfaces far from their physical location, allowing them to create diversions, scry, and gather intelligence from afar, without ever leaving the safety of their lairs.
- Reflective Bile: As a last resort or to create diversions, the Jen'rusalka can vomit and spew a highly reflective, hardening substance. This substance can be used to form barriers or projectiles, hindering their opponents' movements or creating temporary shields. In some cases, they may use their own bile to trap and smother their enemies, turning them into grotesque statues which adorn their stinking lairs.
Strengths:
- Stealth and Infiltration: The Jen'rusalka's ability to step into and hide in reflective surfaces makes them exceptional at infiltrating secure locations undetected.
- Uncanny Evasion: In battle, the Jen'rusalka exhibit supernatural agility and evasiveness. They dance around their adversaries, swiftly dodging attacks and reshaping the hair of their bodies as needed to avoid harm. Their incorporeal ability to phase into reflective surfaces also adds to their evasiveness, allowing them to slip away from danger or strike from unexpected angles.
- Dark Side Aura: The mere presence of the Jen'rusalka inspires dread and paranoia on the battlefield. Light side practitioners find it difficult to connect to the Force near, or under the gaze of the Rusalki.
- Regeneration: The Jen'rusalka constantly regenerate from their injuries, reattaching lost limbs with animated threads of hair. Through collecting the scalps and hair of their victims, wounded Rusalki can rebuild their physical bodies. When spiritually wounded, they will steal the reflections of those they find beautiful in order to regain composure and power. They greatly resist most forms of (non-Force Sensitive) energy-based and physical weapons, and even lightsabers or blaster bolts have limited effectiveness against Jen'rusalka.
- Resistance to Physical Weapons: Their hair is as tough as Phrik metal, making them resistant to lightsabers and blaster bolts.
Weaknesses:
- Vulnerable to Fire: Fire can harm the Jen'rusalka and slow down their regeneration.
- Obsessive Nature: Their obsession with their victims may lead them to take unnecessary risks or prioritize vengeance over tactical considerations, even in the presence of commanding officers.
- Limited Offensive Range: While their hair can reach impressive lengths, they do have a maximum range for attacks, making them susceptible to long-range engagements.
- Susceptible to Force Nullification: As Force-sensitive beings, conjured through Sith sorcery, they are vulnerable to attacks and abilities which target or nullify their connection to the Force. Powerful light sided techniques from Masterful practitioners can also harm the Rusalki.
- Reflective Reliance: Creatures bound to reflective surfaces, the Jen'rusalka are limited in environments lacking such surfaces. Through breaking or shattering the reflection within which the Jen'rusalka hides,
- Sadistic Lovers: Their love for torturing victims may sometimes lead them to underestimate more strategic opponents or overlook potential threats. The pleasure and power derived from torturing and doting upon living victims can prevent Rusalki from killing quickly.
- Diet: Pain & fear.
- Communication: Jen'rusalka read, write, understand, and speak those languages known in life. Often this includes Galactic Basic, Sith, as well as other Outer Rim trade languages. Additionally, they can speak telepathically with individuals with which they are familiar, at times able to do so over great distances. When speaking telepathically, the Jen'rusalka and the other participant don't need to speak a common language in order to understand each other.
- Technology level: Galactic Standard.
- Religion/Beliefs: Jen'rusalka, undead wraiths conjured from the spiritual remains of ancient Sith, serve their creator, Darth Caedes, above all else, hailing him as their "Father," and furthermore as the reclaimer of Korriban. Possessing the memories and emotions of ancient Sith (c. 7000 BBY), these wraiths owe their allegiance to the Sith King, as determined by the Sith'ari. Some Jen'rusalka yet possess enough functional memories from their previous life to engage in limited societal and cultural constructs, largely reminiscent of their ancient Imperial Culture beneath the reign of Sith King Dathka Graush.
- General behavior: Within Darth Caedes' greater undead army of Korriban, the Jen'rusalka serve as a highly specialized tactical stealth unit and intelligence gathering operatives. They are the eyes and ears of the Sith Lord across the galaxy, using their reflective and illusory abilities to infiltrate enemy territories, obtain critical information, and strike fear into the hearts of would-be-challengers of the Sith. The mere presence of a Jen'rusalka on the battlefield instills fear and terror in their enemies, weakening the presence of the light side of the Force with the depths of their depravity. This psychological warfare weakens the resolve of opponents and prey alike, creating openings for other undead forces to exploit.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Jen'rusalka's origin can be traced back to the malevolent reign of Darth Caedes, a powerful Sith Lord and sorcerer. After reclaiming Korriban from the Ashlan Jedi crusaders, he invoked the ancient magic of Dathka Graush and raised an undead army known as the Jen'ari. Seeking to enhance the Jen'ari's lethality, Darth Caedes developed the Jen'rusalka as a specialized class of undead spies and assassins. These wraith-like beings, crafted from the tortured spirits of past Sith Lords, became a terrifying force in the Sith Order's arsenal.
