HISTORY
Jerbaah spent his early years as a skilled mechanic for the gladiatorial "Hunters of the Rim" tournament, where he maintained weapons and armor for its combatants. His life changed when he befriended Vylko Montross, a Mandalorian-appearing gladiator who claimed descent from the infamous Montross. The two formed a deep bond, with Vylko teaching Jerbaah the Mandalorian ways, including the language, creed, and traditions. Vylko affectionately nicknamed him "Durik," a playful Concordian term for "mouse," and the two became like brothers.
Their partnership ended tragically when Vylko suffered fatal injuries during a tournament. On his deathbed, he entrusted his Mandalorian armor to Jerbaah, urging him to honor the creed and carry on his legacy. Using his mechanical genius, Jerbaah transformed the armor into an IG-12-style mech, incorporating parts from an HK-87 droid to allow him to don the armor and fight as a Mandalorian. Embracing this new identity, he declared himself Jerbaah Durik and set out to honor Vylko’s memory.
Jerbaah founded Clan Durik, dedicated to taking in foundlings from species often underestimated by others, such as fellow Anzellans, Ugnaughts, and Chadra-Fan. His clan current exists as a bastion of mechanics and repairers for Mandalorians of all clans, choosing to remain neutral during inter-clan conflicts.
