Early Life
Born on the underdeveloped planet of Samadra with the least populated human race being seen as a lesser race in the world, Jesryn was disfavored by the inhabitants of other races, yet this was not the only misfortune occurred to her. She was given birth not just in the wrong place, but at a wrong time as well, where both her parents lamentably fell victim to the disappearance of billions of people across the galaxy not long after she was pulled into this world. As a human orphan on Samadra, she was badly treated by society, sold by the orphanage into unpaid child labour force and employed in the factories and mines when the industrial revolution first commenced on the fertile planet.
Befriending Ewan the Togruta
Her desperate and grinding life with the taste of motor oil in her mouth went on, until she was greeted by Ewan, an easygoing, cheerful young Togruta girl in a dress who visited the industrial area along with her seemingly noble family, whose appearance was as youthful as her, except that the girl was unstained with coal and dust. In Jesryn’s eyes, she was an angel with a pure heart who was willing to approach her without being disgusted by her race like how others would. Her smile lightened the long-extinguished candle of hope in the human girl’s heart, and they became the closest friends ever since.
Other than the time spent on working in the factories and mines, Jesryn began sneaking out with her high-born friend Ewan to hang out together, where they always hid themselves under an abandoned bridge to avoid being caught by the adults. As children, their innocent minds were unbound by the status symbol of each other, and the abandoned bridge eventually became their safe haven and secret base where they spent their time together. Without a proper education, Jesryn could not read nor write, not before she met Ewan, who was believed to be receiving the best education in the city. Thus, Ewan often read books for Jesryn, and taught her how to hold a pen and write. Ewan also once told the tales of Jedi and Sith to her unintelligent human friend, where it was also the first time Jesryn ever heard of the Force thinking it was cool and awesome, which inspired her dream of becoming a Jedi one day and promised Ewan that she would protect her as one. Ewan would truthfully tell her that she only wished to be friends with Jesryn forever.
First Kiss & First Love
As both girls grew older, Jesryn became a rebellious and daring person, and even joined a speeder gang with her own speeder bike, while Ewan turned into that of a mature lady who was going to take over her family’s legacy. However, the bond between them was not affected by their differences at all. Their friendship was stronger than ever as they shared even the smallest things with each other, and they had long become something that was inseparable. They still hung out at the very same spot of the abandoned bridge, this time even Jesryn could read books for Ewan instead of the other way around.
One day, Jesryn took Ewan for a ride across the city which has grown dramatically over the years since the industrial revolution. The living conditions in such a city were miserable but it did not matter much to the two girls who were in love, yet none of them dared to take a step forward, until Ewan made the first move. As the Togruta girl unmounted herself from Jesryn’s bike, she swiftly lowered her head to Jesryn’s, and the biker girl felt the gentle softness of the lips with hers in an instant before Ewan left in embarrassment, leaving Jesryn blushed and confused on her bike, which eventually marked the beginning of their romantic relationship evolved from the friendship that lasted for a decade.
Fallen Lovers, Risen Sith
Samadra was fast becoming a strategic location for galactic trading with its thriving development of advanced technology and weaponry, attracting both businessmen and military alike from across the vast galaxy, members of many factions could be seen walking on the overcrowded streets of the urban areas, which all of these would soon ruin the contented life of the two lovebirds. A sudden violent conflict arose between lightsaber fighters in a night bar where Jesryn and Ewan were just drinking together, but were ill-fated to be involved in the deadly battle.

Ewan was killed that night, the same night Jesryn awakened the Force within her body as she held her lover’s lifeless body in her arms. A white kyber crystal attached to a pendant fell from the loosening hand of the deceased, which brought Jesryn into realization that it was possibly an offering of proposal. Ewan was all she had and the only reason why she stayed alive all this time, but it appeared to be a Jedi who accidentally deflected a laser beam into the direction of her lover, and ended up penetrating her chest.
What an irony that someone who she swore to become to protect Ewan was the one taking her life. Holding the pendant in her hand, Jesryn let out an exploding scream filled with grief and wrath, the crystal slowly bled into vibrant red, glowing in the hue of blood. She leaped towards the Jedi and seized his lightsaber, beheaded him with his very own lightsaber within a minute. She did not feel the slightest bit hesitant for the moment she struck the lightsaber, the only motive driving her was sole vengeance. After the Sith witnessed her immense strength of the Force with their own eyes, they took her in without even needing to convert her, because she had already chosen the Dark Side. Detaching the Jedi’s kyber crystal from the lightsaber, she crushed it with her bare hand, shattering it into dust and ceased its existence before she inserted the bled crystal of her lover into the empty hilt. From then on, a new Sith was born and Jesryn was no more.
Reunion in Netherworld
The Sith apprentice’s Force continued to grow stronger from her hatred towards the Jedi as she became a Valkyrie, a Sith assassin, eliminating every Jedi she encountered across the star systems, and recruiting the wavered minds into their roster, proving herself worthy to the Dark Side and earning herself the title of Darth Raiden. She also managed to receive her second red lightsaber from a Sith betrayer she executed with her own hands. A few years after the death of Ewan, she was given another chance to meet her lover again, in the Netherworld. Having mastered the secret Sith technique of Force Walk, Darth Raiden set foot in the world of the afterlife along with her Valkyries, to reap powers from the restless souls and feast on them.
Trekking across the wastelands of the Netherworld, she came across a familiar face which she would never expect to see again, it was Ewan, in her spirit form. The same candle of hope in her heart reignited, she slowly approached her lover’s spirit, speechless and emotionless. Ewan greeted her, again, all of these felt familiar to her childhood, which awakened a small part of conscience within her. Darth Raiden recalled a way to return life from the Netherworld in exchange of one’s life, a soul for a soul, but Ewan rejected her and told her that she could finally rest, now that she reunited with her beloved once again. Returning from the Netherworld, Darth Raiden felt a part of herself missing, that she no longer craved more blood of the Jedi. Perhaps Ewan had taken away her vengeance, or she merely felt at peace after seeing her beloved one last time. Ultimately, she deserted the Sith Empire during a mission, and convinced her allies to believe that she was killed in action.
Vengeful Jedi
Shortly after she went rogue, an old Jedi Master tracked her down and drew his lightsaber at her, declaring that he wanted to take revenge for the death of his apprentice, the Jedi she murdered years ago, and the previous owner of the lightsaber hilt she was holding. The girl in discouragement inadvertently exposed her weakness to the Jedi, who took the opportunity and cut her fingers off her right hand, and one of the lightsabers in half. Her painful scream made the Jedi realize he did a grand mistake, that he seeked revenge even as the one following the Light Side of the Force. He dropped his lightsaber to the ground, walking away from the girl rolling in pain. He spared the girl’s life responsible for his apprentice’s death and forgave her, but he could not forgive himself for what he had done. Sometimes later, Jesryn, who was now a rogue Sith, could be seen with cybernetic fingers on her right hand, carrying the blue lightsaber that the old Jedi abandoned in replace of the destroyed one, and her left hand carrying the red lightsaber that contained the keepsake from Ewan that served as a reminder of her love. At present, she was clearly straying in between the two sides of the Force, her mind unsettled and unsure about what she seeks now. Will she pursue the way of a Jedi and aid those who suffer from pain, or rejoin the Sith to continue dominating the galaxy as Darth Raiden?
