She was never late for tea with Ilias, but Chiara had taken her time making her way to the training area today.
With the door sliding closed behind her, Chiara kicked off her shoes and walked to the center of the room.
"I apologize, Master Nytrau," she said, "I was distracted this morning and time got away from me." she unclipped her saber hilt and looked it over, its indentations, ridges, the wear and tear. She had been through her own fair share of dangerous situations since her new lease on life, but she had survived...like she always did. She thought of her failure on Sabarene, five years ago today. Turning it over, were the marks made from Manu's saber when she'd sparred with him. She thought of her family, of Zarah, of everything she couldn't go back to and where she had never really belonged. They were much of the reason for her distraction.
But, it was for the best...that she had left. Over the last five years, Chiara had become more in control of her emotions than she'd ever been before. Everyday she grew stronger in the Force, flourishing under [member="Ilias Nytrau"]'s tutelage as she had in times past. Not to mention all of the good she was doing with [member="Merrick Sato"] by her side, as her partner...who would undoubtedly be joining them today.
She felt more like a Jedi than ever before.
This was for the best. This was where she needed to be.
Chiara cleared her throat and started walking again, taking a seat cross legged on the floor with her saber beside her. The smell of the tea wafted almost unnoticed, the scent was so subtle.
"Will we start with tea or stretches today?"
