SPECIAL FEATURES
- Standardized easy to repair Hud system. Cheap and easy to manufacture. Parts are easy to come by and readily stocked by technicians.
- Standard tracking of up to 20 targets, user choice as to how many. Distance readouts, personal vitals, communication systems, and sonic sensors. Up to 500 Meter magnification on zoom. Three Key TDES or 3DES Encryption as standard on comm signals. Most devices are using this these days, tripling any slicer's decryption time.
- Three Spectrums. Night Vision. Thermal Vision and Regular. Sonic sensors give a 360-degree motion tracker on the bottom right of the hud, allowing for the wearer to see movement and perceived sound behind them without turning.
- Pick Up and Play. Simple design, easy to operate, not many bells and whistles, meaning anyone can use most of its features right out of the box.
- Up to 20 target tracking, three spectrum vision, distance readouts, personal vitals, communication systems, and 360-degree sonic sensors. Up to 500 Meter magnification on zoom.
- Easy to repair, easy to manufacture, field repairs are no problem at all.
- Pick Up and Play. Simple design, easy to operate, not many bells and whistles, meaning anyone can use most of its features right from the start.
- No Ion or EMP protection, unless it's installed in ion resistant armor or structure.
- No Specialist ECM protection, just the user's own use of the three spectrums and sonic sensors.
- Much fewer features than more advanced HUD's.
Coming in Blue, Grey, Green or Orange display options. The JSHP-Jericho Standardized Hud Package differs from the Horus-FCP, and Horus-DCP Huds, both in its level of complexity but also cheaper cost, lower power drain and no AI connection. This means it's much easier to maintain, repair and manufacture. It also means whatever it's fitted on, can be fitted with additional components more easily as the power drain is much less. However, it sacrifices a lot of end-user flexibility, functionality, and complexity.
Some people prefer simplicity and reliability in their equipment, others want cutting edge designs. Understanding their consumer base, who are often all too willing to demonstrate their desire for differing methods of violence in the Triads underworld wars, FFE decided to manufacture another set of personal HUDs with this in mind, especially to fit on more technical armors who need the power for additional components. There are two simple configuration options, that's how many targets to track on the hud, and the visual look of it, display size, transparency or color.
As always basic three Key TDES or 3DES Encryption comes as standard on comm signals. This is normal with most modern signals and although sounds special it isn't. All it does is add three keys that need to be decrypted before any slicer can hack a signal being sent to the hud, audio or visual communications for example. Night vision in this unit is achieved by image illumination and enhancement, basic and easy to use. Thermal vision exists as a secondary option working well in certain environments.
Just like out of the holomovies, sonic detectors give a 360-degree motion tracker on the bottom right of the hud, allowing for people to see movement and perceived sound behind them without turning.
As expected nobody was available for comment, so naturally, we got an interview anyway. Not unofficially at a bar sadly, but outside the local armorsmith who were selling the HUD's for use at blastertag parties. Apparently they go down a riot with younglings, starting one such riot outside the local cantina while waiting in a lunch queue.
