SPECIAL FEATURES

Powered exoskeleton, enabling easier movement in what would be an otherwise cumbersome armor.

Multiple vision modes

High strength Shield system, resistant to both blaster and Lightning

Ballistic fibers help protect against kinetic attacks from slugs.

Armor weave and cortosis weave durasteel protect against Lightsaber attacks to a very high degree.

Newly installed brain wave regulators significantly reduce the length of time a migraine lasts no more than thirty seconds as well as reduces the severity of pain not just from migraines, but in general.

Integrated blaster scattergun with target assist, grapnel launcher, and energy buckler

Advanced Bio Restorative underlay, based off the specs for the ancient regenerative armor.

Jet Pack.

Advanced power source.

Sonic Nullifiers.

Strengths:

You Underestimate my Powah: A powered exosuit serves as the base of the armor. While Laertia is naturally very strong, and thus cannot gain any real benefits from the suit in that regard, it does lessen her burden by making the armor easy to move and run in without exerting herself too much, so she can focus on combat instead of fighting the suit.

Heavy protection: Armorweave, ballistic fiber, cortosis weave durasteel plating on helmets, shin, forearms and chest, as well as a high strength shielding system and sonic nullifiers ensure protection from many conventional threats.

Up in the sky: Its Jetpack is integrated into the armor allowing her over fifteen minutes of flight time.

Fixer-Upper: An advanced Bio-Restorative Underlay of Laertia's own design means even severe wounds and burns heal in a span of ten minutes or less.

Pain reliever: The installation of brain wave stabilizing devices in the helm means that the intensity of Laertia's Migraine pain, as well as her phantom limb pain are greatly reduced, as well as the length of time in which they occur reduced to a matter of seconds instead of minutes, no more than thirty at maximum. In addition the armor helps reduce the sensation of pain in general by half due to this modification.

Integrated weapon system: A specially built blaster scattergun with helmet assisted targeting, grapnel gun, and energy buckler enshroud the right arm leaving the left arm for dueling.

Advanced power system: The batteries have the ability to power the Jet pack, shields and the weapon systems all at once, for a very short period of time. In addition, certain cues were taken from Darth Vader's armor...it has a universal power adaption cable, allowing her to plug the suit into nearly any modern power source and recharge the suit batteries.

Multiple vision modes: Possesses Night, Thermal, X-Ray, and binocular allowing up to 8x magnification, as well as precision targeting for her arm-gun.

Weaknesses:

Might as well be an eternity: Though the severity of migraine and phantom limb pain is reduced in sensation and length, thirty seconds can be a long time trying to focus in a duel with a splitting headache. Good thing its so protective.

Priorities: As strong as the power systems are, it is best to prioritize it for certain tasks. While multiple or even all systems can be powered at once in addition to enhanced targeting and vision modes, the amount of time the suit can remain powered will be only a short time for all systems powered, or up to one and a four and a half hours if only one or two systems are active, requiring a half hour to recharge. The shields and sonic nullifiers drain the most power while the blaster scattergun consumes only a moderate amount of power, with the jetpack topping that. Thus Laertia must decide which system would be the most useful to her at a given time and if a situation becomes so serious as to require all systems, Laertia may find she might soon have to abandon the suit and take her chances fighting without it, with all the risks that entails. Should she run out of power, she would be stuck in a weighty, cumbersome suit, and while she would still have significant protection with her armor plating, armorweave, and ballistic underlay, she would suddenly start having to use her strength to move around in the armor, which would throw off her reflexes, leading to a serious mistake in battle, especially should a migraine choose to strike at this time.

Ion Vulnerable: For all the protection it provides, Laertia was not able to update its systems to resist Ion damage, thus Ion shots will disable it temporarily for about twelve minutes before the system reboots.

Temperature vulnerable: It's somewhat outdated, and was meant mainly to fight in one on one duels with powerful Sith, meaning its not built to resist temperature extremes such as flame or cryo.

Corrosive vulnerable: Acid eats through the armorweave.

Bulky: Though mobile, Laertia will have a hard time manuevering in enclosed spaces.

Vibro weakness: While its cortosis weave durasteel can resist vibroweapons very well, the same can't be said for its armorweave, which is exposed somewhat at the joints and waist, allowing a crafty, precise attacker to try and take advantage. Of course, Laertia is a master duelist, making this weakness a trick prospect to exploit. Then again, should a migraine occur...

Can't unrandomize Migraines: It can only reduce the severity and length of a migraine or phantom pain attack, it cannot reduce their regularity or random nature. Laertia's plans can still go very wrong, particularly during a duel.

Paddle beams: Something about its shielding systems cause it to be disabled completely for ten minutes if hit by one.

One handed vulnerability: The scattergun and miscellaneous equipment, such as its energy buckler, cannot be removed from the right arm. Also, as this armor was before Laertia was injured, it could not be fully retrofitted to address every issue...her free hand is her cybernetic one. In other words, the one experiencing all the phantom pain. Also, while the arm cannon is plated in cortosis weave durasteel like most of her armor is, it can only withstand so many blows before it fails, presenting a large target. In addition, should she fall from any obstacle, she only has one hand to catch anything with.

DESCRIPTION

The Juggernaut Chitin was the personal Jedi Armor of Laertia during her days as a Marksman, a heavy, imposing powered assault suit created for pure aggressive fighting, pushing forward constantly to crush the enemy while keeping its wearer alive. Laertia did not wear this into battle as much as her lucky jacket, but make no mistake, it saw some heavy combat and saved her life on more than one occasion. After being asked to help the Alliance in Exile, Laertia retrieved the armor from mothballing, upgraded its helmet systems haphazardly to include brainwave modifying devices that reduce her migraine and phantom pains severity and length, as well as greatly reducing her sense of pain in general. Though the modifications did not eliminate their randomness and frequency, they made suffering one while in the heat of battle a much more survivable prospect. While not built for the modern Laertia, its protective advantages are too great even after all these years to discard entirely, especially considering its advanced regenerative capabilities, integrated weapon systems, and flight capability. Laertia based the armor off the type seen used by Jedi Knights from the De Lifte Family, active during The Gulag Plague as fearsome front line Jedi Knights who served no council but struck fear in every Dark Adept they came across, and hope to every hopeless creature in need.

Good Evening [member="Laertia Io"],

This is quite a submission, and I love how you've specialised the armour for Laertia personally. There are just a few points I wish to clarify with you before I go ahead and approve it. Before I start I want to remind you that all my comments are just suggestions and you are not obligated to follow any of them, if at any point you are happy with your submission please let me know and I will approve the submission.

So, having worked through the resistances I believe that your armour is actually underpowered, this is primarily due to the rather unusual inclusion of the paddle beamer. As it currently stands you could increase 4 ratings, however, given the unusual nature of the paddle beamer, I will leave the choice of what to do here up to you.

About the power systems, you've mentioned that they have enough power to last 15 minutes, however that is difficult to manage in terms of RP, how many posts is that? A power limit is difficult to manage in terms of the medium and a weakness. I would recommend removing this as a weakness because of the difficulty in using it.

Also, could you clarify the vibroweakness? I'm not entirely sure what effect attacking the armour with a vibroweapon would have.

Elaborated on what you pointed out. On the power weaknesses, I changed it to a "short while" as opposed to a hard limit of fifteen minutes, and elaborated on the vibroweakness.

Secondly, as to your concerns that the armor is underpowered, well, that's kind of intentional, especially the paddle beam weakness. Its a retrofitted armor that could not be fully upgraded to address all concerns.

I hope I have addressed everything. If you still have issues with the power supply weakness, I'll remove it completely on next edit, or whittle it down even further.
