Juggernaut was a secret experimental bioweapon project aimed at replicating the success of Durge to serve as an effective troop template. Ultimately, the project succeeded and Juggernaut was spawned in a testing chamber after numerous failures, creating a hyper-massive Gen'Dai that hulked over even the largest Gen'Dai. Numerous neural enhancements were made, along with an alchemized imbuing of Force essence from Juggernaut's creator that allowed Juggernaut to maintain his sanity despite the massive amounts of damage and pain inflicted during combat. The hyper-adjustment of his neural cells allowed Juggernaut a greater control of his body, sharper intelligence and heightened reflexes, at the cost of greatly increasing his pain threshold.

Fueled with combat stimulants and drugs to dull the constant agony and pain of battle, Juggernaut is a tank of pure muscle and metal that charges into the battlefield with a gigantic blaster cannon chain-gun with deadly accuracy and precision. His classic style is gun-running with an entire personal armory of munitions, weaponry and ammunition, supported by his faithful Rearguard. Relishing in the glory of victory, Juggernaut hounds after his enemies relentlessly until his task is completed.

As a Gen'Dai, given enough time, energy and nutrients, Juggernaut can regenerate his whole body from a single cell. Rapid regeneration is a key aspect of Juggernaut that allows him to be a near-immortal figure on the battlefield. However, the pain of regrowing and losing his body is immense and creates a huge psychological toll and strain. Despite his outward appearance as a reckless monster charging blindly into battle, Juggernaut is constantly and quickly calculating incoming projectiles, best evasive maneuvers, optimal shots from his weapon, and larger level tactics and battlefield strategies as he fights. This lethal combination of ingenious combat skill and awareness as well as his hulking, powerful body enables Juggernaut to be the true dominator of battlefields.

Juggernaut has an immensely powerful physical form due to his Gen'Dai heritage although he suffers several drawbacks. First, his altered and warped mind makes it difficult to control the Juggernaut as soon as he is released into battle, and thus, he is often relegated to lone wolf operations or in command of battle droids (which are less expensive to replace than organics). As soon as Juggernaut succumbs to his battle rage, friend or foe alike will be mercilessly killed and he will turn into an indiscriminate slaughtering machine. Only his Rearguard, along with their greatly durable and heavy armor, can survive the aftermath of his onslaught.

While Juggernaut has experience with covert operations and his great intelligence makes him a keen operative and infiltator, Juggernaut's impatience and thirst for battle usually denigrates any covert operation into massive genocides and massacres after the primary objectives are completed.

Another weakness of the Juggernaut is his hulking figure: while he is agile and quick on his feat, in a battlefield, Juggernaut is a gigantic targeting dummy: even his great regeneration abilities, iron will, and adrenaline-fueled body is unable to endure excessive amounts of damage and when Juggernaut faces such a situation, he usually devolves into an uncontrollable monster that will continue to fight until being grievously wounded. When sustaining close to lethal amounts of damage, Juggernaut will immediately fall unconscious and be left vulnerable to true death.

A mass of warping and wriggling muscle, Juggernaut is no pretty sight and is almost always wearing heavy armor to assume a bipedal, humanoid form. Juggernaut's appearance varies based on the heavy armor he is donning.

Underneath his armor, Juggernaut has a humanoid face with two eyes, a nose, and a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth. The appearance of his humanoid face is actually quite attractive compared to his other Gen'Dai counterparts, leaving an odd juxtaposition of a handsome face amidst a literal pool of flesh and nerve bundles.

GENERAL INFORMATION

[*]'Giant' Rearguard

[*]'Cyclops' Rearguard

[*]'Starfiend' Rearguard

[*]General Equipment:

[*]Description:
  • The Rearguard are Juggernaut's personal army that follow behind him at every battle. Their distinctly black metallic combat armor and glowing red eyes are uniform throughout the entire troop.
  • The Private Military Company, the Rearguard, has slowly gained in numbers since their beginnings as individual mercenaries Juggernaut hired through his battles. The past thirty years, Juggernaut has collected the galaxy's deadliest and most efficient mercenaries, sellswords, assassins and soldiers of fortune to serve as apart of his Rearguard. Their individually stellar combat abilities have been united and melded into a forged, elite army through Juggernaut's will.
  • They are guided by a fanatical belief in Juggernaut's strength and his divine-like ability to achieve victory, glory and fortune. They silently obey and expertly execute Juggernaut's will and commands, following him through his mercenary lifestyle.

COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Medium
  • Unit Availability: Unique
  • Unit Experience: Elite
  • Combat Function:
The sole purpose of the Rearguard is to amplify Juggernaut's own combat expertise. They serve as an auxiliary and support purpose to Juggernaut's one-man vanguard and army. Although each is a skilled and elite soldier, the Rearguard provides continuous supply and logistics to Juggernaut as he spearheads any battle.
  • Their main role transporting and running energy cells, munitions, modular armor components, and armaments to Juggernaut at any cost, and thus, the Rearguard has become an eclectic collection of highly specialized soldiers and experts that handle every aspect of logistics. Ace pilots and infamous smugglers man the blockade runners, military transports and starfighter escorts, and expert soldiers drive or run through enemy fire to deliver Juggernaut his supplies and requisitions.
  • Their secondary role is providing auxiliary firepower and combat support during Juggernaut's engagements. The galaxy's finest assassins and sharpshooters provide sniper support in the backlines, world-class combat engineers and crew man orbital and land artillery, and a company of the galaxy's fiercest and most heavily armed mercenaries and sellswords directly follow behind Juggernaut into battle.

[*]Structure
  • Alpha Company: 'Giantslayers'
    Size: 160 Rearguards
  • Organization:
    4 'Fiend' Squads
  • 12 'Giant' Squads

[*]Composition:
  • 'Fiend' Squad: 6 'Fiend' Rearguards, 4 'Cyclops' Rearguards
  • 'Giant' Squad: 10 'Giant' Rearguards

[*]Beta Company: 'Starfiends'
  • Size: 112 'Starfiend' Rearguards
  • Organization:
    1 Sigma-class Heavy Assault Dropship
    Houses Alpha Company: 'Giantslayers' (160)
  • Various Eternal Empire vehicles depending on mission assignment

[*]2 squadron of T-77 "Talon" Stealth Interceptors
[*]2 squadron of RX-4 Hornet Class Starbombers

[*]Gamma Company: 'Bastion'
  • Size: 80 Rearguards, 12 'Starfiend' Rearguards
  • Organization:
1 squadron of Styx-class Assault Dropships
  • 4 'Giant' Squads
  • 4 'Fiend' Squads

[*]Composition:
  • 'Giant' Squads: 10 'Giants' Rearguard
  • 'Fiend' Squads: 6 'Fiend' Rearguards, 4 'Cyclops' Rearguards
  • Juggernaut's Equipment, Munitions, Supplies, and Personal Artifacts

Strengths:
  • The Galaxy's Finest
Elite Soldiers, armed to the teeth and ready to take the next step toward death, have been bathed in mercenary war and battle throughout their entire lives. Forged in battle and death, they are the few that have survived Juggernaut's suicidal missions.

[*]Juggernaut's Will
  • They are undyingly loyal to Juggernaut and serve as his perfect complement in battle. They are hand-picked and approved by Juggernaut himself.

Weaknesses:
  • To the Last Man
New recruits to the Rearguard are near impossible to find, and even Juggernaut's extensive efforts to train new members personally has a drastically low success rate of only a handful per year (despite conscripting thousands into his brutal and highly selective "boot camp").

[*]The Rearguard Bleeds Gold
  • Maintaining and constantly supplying Rearguard with munitions, armaments, equipment, starships and wealth is a monstrous cost. The price of moving the Rearguard into action is steep, and so, the blade of the Rearguard rarely falls.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Founded by Juggernaut when first entering the galaxy, the Rearguard has been through Juggernaut's extensive mercenary history and loyally followed in his glory and wealth. In the beginning, the Rearguard were merely a loose collection of mercenaries, smugglers, and hired help Juggernaut recruited to serve as cannon fodder as he charged headfirst into battle and quickly became a more formalized organization as the galaxy's mercenaries learned of Juggernaut and his infamous career. They continued until now to perfectly assist and execute Juggernaut's will.

After five years since their founding, Juggernaut began to hold an annual recruiting and training course that recruited throughout the galaxy, looking for young talents to join the ranks of his Rearguard. Beginning with just a handful of recruits and now, spanning with thousands of recruits, the highly selective and brutal process of joining the Rearguard weened, through their deaths alone, the initial groups of thousands to a mere handful per year. As Juggernaut's hellish training comprised of sending thousands of recruits along with himself to fight on the frontlines of the galaxy's numerous battlefields, the number of recruits were quickly thinned as the conflicts rage on.
