- Primary Source: Hyperdrive | Jumpmaster 0.11 Elite Hyperdrive
- Manufacturer: Vanguard Hypernautics
- Affiliation: Vanguard Hypernautics
- Market Status: Open-Market
- Model: Jumpmaster 1.01 Microdrive, aka the J101.
- Modularity: Limited; often paired with a Class 10 Backup Hyperdrive.
- Production: Mass-Produced
- Material: Titanium-Chromium Compound; Borium, Guerrerite, & Durelium Components; Visium (High-Grade or Solid State).
- The J101 includes all the features one would expect from a comparable Hyperdrive in an unusually aesthetic package.
- Speedy Precision: The J101 spools up quickly and precisely - perfect for microjumps.
- Compact Design: Microdrives are cleverly designed to minimise space consumption.
- Fickle Beast: The J101 is too specialised to run on anything but Globex-brand Visium.
- Semi-Safe: While Microdrives are well-suited for microjumps, it is still a risky manoeuvre.
To the layman, a hyperdrive was merely the means of getting from one point to another, its once-wondrous nature transformed into merely another facet of galactic life, but to Vanguard it was an instrument to be tuned to perfection, its melody one of speed and grace.
Slower and more accessible to the common man than its cousins the J11 and J33, the J101 remains a compact, finely-tuned machine of which its Serennian engineers can be proud. Optimised for Microjumps though they may be, Microdrives are still fully-functional in the capacity of a more conventional Hyperdrive, being only infinitesimally slower than a military-grade Class 1.
As is the norm for Jumpmasters, the Hyperdrive itself has been described as "unnecessarily pretty" by more down-to-earth mechanics.
