- Hover-Blades: With a micro-repulsor built into the lining the weapons inner ring with a subtle activation the Manifold Blades are able to hover in place using Subzero temperature Superconductors. As long as each unit holds power, this feature allows them to be thrown incredible distances and reduces the incoming effects of friction significantly.
- Spin Force: The Manifolds ring is separated by two parts, a static inner ring which comprises the magnetic rails and superconducting components and an outer rail that houses the weapons edge. When activated the force of the energy projected by the weapon causes the outer ring to spin on the inner rings magnetic rails to speeds of tens of thousands of rotations per minute pushing anything that contacts the blade away from it with much force.
- Wireless Energy: Although each blade contains a small power storage component in its handle, each weapon can only individually hold charge for about ten seconds. The separate center battery of the weapon is held by the user, requiring the blades to have to pass through the batteries' wireless charging field in order to remain operational, charging them in an instant.
- Multiple Discs: The system enables the user to manipulate anywhere from one to eight manifold blades depending on the user's skill level.
- Plasma Edged: With the legacy edge of light-saber blades, the Manifolds are capable of cutting through most substances that are not specifically resistant or immune to the effects of the blade.
- Repulsive Blade: Contact with the manifold blades with another weapon, worse yet a weightless one while they're spinning will cause a significant knock-back counter-force.
- Far Thrown: With the activation of the micro-repulsors these weapons can fly curved or in a straight line for as long as they hold power through magnetic levitation as if they were weightless. Aided by the Gyroscope to maintain balance or curve at the user's will
- They are Many: The Manifold blades are many, thanks to needing only project blades in a small radius from their source only fractions of a light-saber crystal are needed for each of them allowing over half a dozen of them to be linked to their battery simultaneously.
- Recharge Reliant: Take away the battery, and the manifold blades that are powered by it, within fleeting moments will loose their charge and all but fall apart.
- Liquid Penetration: Thrown or otherwise, these weapons have almost no efficiency underwater, friction with any water slows their spin, when thrown these blades will deflect off its surface as if it were a solid.
- EMP: The power of electromagnetic pulses interfere with the repulsorlift abilities of these weapons, causing them to be effected by gravity once again and pull towards the ground and cave to friction like a standard projectile.
- Short Reach: More of a Martial Arts weapon in Melee combat, they lack the reach of even a shoto Light-saber giving them distinct disadvantages.
Manifold blades are now the chosen weapons of the Solitaire Syndicate. the settlers of Verun had precious few force users when they landed whose lightsabers were used in circulation in the beginning. Eventually however as the schools of force users swelled through their children and their children's' children, the precious few lightsabers that existed were not enough. So, they developed the Rings of the Manifold, weapons of war, execution and symbols of presence only requiring a shard of a lightsaber crystal in order to maintain their edges. So it was that one saber became many, and users would earn subsequent Manifold Blades as a sign of mastery and prestige.
These new weapons proved effective, though in different ways. Often striking from a distance, through the shadows or from unexpected angles much like the weapons of the Zeison Sha, as such they quickly became feared within all circles high and low upon Verun. Eventually their users were killed, the arrival and subsequent wars against the rising Ascendancy and their powerful Medjai saw the end to the majority of the Orders who used them. Few such orders remain, the Solitaire which once served under a now dead Verunian Lord are some of the craftier and more deadly, practicing a juggling fighting style and mastering the redirection from these discs through telekinesis.
Juno won her set of Discs through the war against the Ascendancy as a Spy, ferrying information back to her masters in dangerous missions as the battles waged on until the lords that commanded the Solitaire were killed and the group fled underground and became independent.
