Just Another Day at the Office

Sighing lightly Ana closed her eyes as the ship moved though space. She hated space travel, it was always long boring and awkward for her. Ana wasn't a chatty type of person so it tended to be quite. Normally she would bring a book to read to keep herself occupied or a game. People she found always games especially when it involved gambling or booze.

Since she didn't know her company on this trip very well it would behoove her to get to know them. She didn't want to come off as unfriendly as Ana was the furthest thing from that. It was just she wasn't that good at approaching others. She never knew what to say, not even now.

Opening her eyes once again Ana lightly smiled at the individual next to her. She didn't want to come across as rude. "Hello, how are you?" It was better than nothing and at least it was a start. If there was no response Ana would understand that too and be ok because soon they would be there, hopefully.

The mission itself was still a little vague to her. They were to go help clean up an "issue" that had arose on one of their planets. Why it took the two of them Ana didn't get but she did as her brother had requested of her. He couldn't be everywhere and she could be his eyes and ears.

It wasn't her home base, but it would do. It wasn't a luxury liner. It wasn't a research vessel. It wasa combat transport, ready and loaded for war - and even Rena Kryze was dressed for the occasion. Still clad in her standard red, black and copper battle armour, rather distinctive by this point, Rena made very sure that she was loaded for bear. She wasn't a combatant, no, but she had to be ready for it; omni-tool on her left arm, MT-14 blaster pistols at her hips. She wasn't a warrior by trade. She was a bleedin' quartermaster. That didn't mean she couldn't come along for a job and make use of her technical knowledge.

She looked to the person next to her, suddenly addressing her. "Hi there," she said as friendly-like as she could manage. No point being a sourpuss here. "I'm a little confused as to why they'd pick me for something like this, but I won't complain. I'm Rena."

Being polite, yo.

She checked her blasters, her datapad, her omni-tool. Everything seemed to check out here.

"You know, they never actually told us what we were doing, did they?" she mused, considering. "They just asked me for a tech expert."

"I'm Ana," she smiled lightly. I'm glad we have a tech expert on board. I never got the hang of that no matter how many times Azrael tried to teach me." She had found she was more science than anything else which was also useful at her brother's company.

"I think we are to tread lightly and clear up a few issues on Dantooine. I didn't get many more details than that. If we can't be quiet it may be best to leave it and report back." The young woman could easily gain an audience with the Mandalor and this time it would be actual important news.

The thought that it was her being sent still baffled Ana as she knew there were others that were much more qualified for the job or perhaps this was a test of some sort.

"I only learned the tech stuff recently, to be honest," Rena said, smiling behind her helmet and cradling the omni-tool strapped to her arm. One of her best inventions was going to come very much in handy here. If a tech expert was needed, then Rena Kryze... well, she paled in comparison to the lovely [member="Anija Ordo"], but she was getting there. Slowly. It was hard to match the other experts in the field when she was still just learning herself.

However, this was a stealth mission. Interesting. Rena hadn't done a stealth mission, let alone fight yet; she had blasters but she hadn't fied a shot in anger in many, many years. She just hoped that her practise every now and then would help.

"Well, it sounds interesting. I think we can do some real good out on Dantooine." Dantooine wasn't too dissimilar to Rena's homeworld of Ord Mantell, so this would be a good chance. However, a lack of intel or instructions worried her. Were they being sent into a trap?

"Well, whatever. I think if we do run into trouble, the two of us can handle it anyway. You're better with a gun than I am. I hope."
