It was rare these days for Sinara to step into the other side of her lifestyle. Her time as an assassin had severely diminished in the wake of her former mentors’ demise. The return home, the years spent preparing, had been split between running a new company and keeping up with her training.
When the clock finally struck twelve, and her family’s murderers arrived to what they assumed would be a pliable city to take over, they faced death. The consequences of their actions ripped the rug from beneath their feet and tore down their organization, to the very last shred.
By the time the sun rose, Sinara’s blades were soaked red. She cleaned them, then returned them to their case and never touched them.
Until the urge to right wrongs arose once more.
Sinara might’ve turned against those that tried to turn her into a monster, but they did teach her to kill. She had the tools, the means to right injustice that shouldn’t be allowed to continue. Why not use the shadows to discreetly correct those wrongs?
Unfortunately her time running Thorne Enterprises took up the majority of her time. So it was only when she was away, technically taking ‘time off’, where she got to work with her other side.
Tonight’s target was a Duros called Haaro, a notorious crime boss that terrorized the local population. He had been through the city’s justice system numerous times, but each time he’d be back on the streets not long after. Something was off about this, injustice was allowing this criminal to remain free.
And Sinara was going to correct it.
