Bakura
Capital City of Salis D'aar

I sat infront of a computer terminal, sifting through messages. My hair was unkempt and my eyes lacking sleep. The sound of vessels passing by the thick see through windows. Today was the day of election night when citizens from bakura would vote for Bakura to join the republic and choose a senator to represent them.

For over a year Adama had been running a clean campaign even though his other competitors were throwing cheap shots. He knew the other candidates were corrupt and most Bakuran's knew it. For so long he had been fighting against government corruption and seemed to also be very pro republic.

He remembered standing infront of thousands infront of the government building, raising his voice into an amazing speech. In that moment he saw thousands cheer his name as he told them all he was pro republic and wanted to become the heart and soul of all on Bakura.

He knew his election had affected other people's lives with an over pouring in of support. The governor the other day had told him of the latest polls putting him and another candidate neck and neck. Sitting at his desk with the holo screen flickering across his face. He was dressed in a dark robe that covered his body from neck to feet.

It was his cybernetic eye that moved and zoomed past his screen to a man dressed in white elaborate robes. The man he knew to be his partner of five years smiled, his long white hair in a fishtail pony tail, moving with poise across the room to gives a kiss on adama's lips.

His voice was sultry and seductive, yet caring when he said," My love, you’re up late. You should go rest." I smiled at my lover and took his hand in mine, laying a kiss on the back of his hand and rubbing my cheek against it.

" I know my love. Its just this election that is keeping me from falling asleep." His partner hugged him from behind and kissed his cheek. "The world can wait a few hours and you need your rest my love. Before our kids wake you up."

I laughed and turned my chair around, the chair spinning on its post to face my partner. Micah had been apart of my life since college. I remember when we fought during a debate and afterward headed to the bathroom when he pulled me aside in the hallway and feverishly attacked my lips. He told me that he really liked me and wanted to take me out on a date.

Micah was never one to take no for an answer.

" I know my love. Maybe you can get me some tea to sooth my troubled mind?" Micah laughed and nodded. He moved to the screen on my desk and tapped the screen before saying," C8P7, adama is requesting his nighttime tea. That will be all for now."

A mechanical voice of a machine said," Yes sir." Micah sat in my lap, his lightweight body not heavy enough. " My love today will be a great day for you. The bakuran people love you and respect you. Your family has a great reputation. Without your father, Bakura would have never come out of the last civil war."
i nodded my head listening to my lover when the doors across the hall swooshed open, a droid moving with grace with a tray and some china. The droid stopped at the desk to put down the tray with the tea already poured.

I picked up the china and took a sip from the sweet calming taste. After several sips my body was relaxing and my eyes more heavy. " I know my love", I said rather sleepy. " I despise these corrupt candidates and hope the people will vote tonight against them. Its been a long time we have both worked for this."

Micah nodded his head and kissed adama's nose, the droid stood to the side of the desk, looking away as it waited for its next command. Micah ordered the droid to return back to the living area until needed, thanking the droid.

The droid moved out of the room when micah started speaking again," You are a kind, honest, and no bullpoodoo politician. Your reputation is better then those sector representatives. Besides," he says, poking Adamas chest playfully. " None of them has worked within the capital cities government. Working under the governor and with diplomats shows you have the experience to execute the position."

Bakura
Capital City of Salis D'aar

I made my way out of the building where my living quarters were. Sentient’s were walking around, having to move around them until I saw a familiar face. A man standing in a helmet and dark robes, looking very professional with a visor covering his eyes leaned against the wall of the lobby. I stopped shortly infront of him and smiled," Gaelin. I wasnt aware you were on my security detail today?"

The man moved from the wall to stand close to myself. He was at least 5 inches taller then my 6'5 so I had to look up just to talk to him face to face. The man’s voice was gravily when he spoke, abit of an accent when he spoke. " With only the elections a few days away, it is imperative you are protected." I nodded my head and said," I don't see why, there hasnt been any terrorist attacks on bakura in years."

The man shrugged his shoulders, looking around the lobby when he replied," Doesn’t mean that day can't be today." He then motioned past the lobby toward the transport area," You have a car waiting for you. Several other government vessels will provide security for you to the government building." I nodded my head and just agreed with the security cheif's orders.

I had known this man for a long time. Once I had seen him take on several sith and kill them all with their own light sabers. He was ex-military and now apart of the royal guard of bakura. He served directly under the Queen Ma'at for many years before she started to assign the man with duties outside of the bakuran royal palace.

After he was done talking the man motioned to the transport area," Your transport is ready and waiting. Do you have anything you need to do before you depart?" I shook my head, already making my way to the transport area. The guard I could hear followed me without asking to wait for him to go first.

I slowed my pace abit when I saw my face and the face of another man I was running against in the elections on a big holo screen. The news was talking about the polls and how it seemed my poll had gone up six points while my opponent only had 4. I didn't pay attention to polls most of the time because they were just predictions.

The vehicle to transport me to the bakuran government building was black on black, sleek, and shiny. The vehicle's door slid open, Gaelin spoke before I got closer. " Your press secretary is already at the government building. Please wait for a moment as I do a sweep of the inside of the vehicle." I nodded and moved out of the way to let the man do his thing.

He removed something from his belt and placed it in the car. He tapped his visor and said out loud," Initiate deep scan." A mechanical voice could be heard saying," Confirmed, Scanning Initiated." That something he put in the car floated into the air and began to spin, lasers canvasing the car. The red beam went over the whole interior before beeping, the lasers shutting off.
Gaelin quickly snapped the little metal ball out of the air and put it away before saying," All clear."

I slipped into the space, Gaelin moving to the other side of the vehicle to look toward me. Setting into the leather exterior, the door closed automatically, the partition on the drivers side slid down. The eyes of a togruta smiled at me, her sharp teeth moving into a big grin. " Where to Mr Adama?" He smiled and said to her," Bakuran Government Building. " She winked at him and said to hold on, as a seat belt appeared and wrapped itself around my waist. The driver mentioned hot coffee was ready in a to go cup from bantha king.

Gaelin looked really big in the cramped space he sat. His lead was leaned forward, the back of his head resting on the ceiling of the vehicle. He pressed a button on the side panel to remove his own seat belt. I would have asked why he did that but I could have guessed it was for security reasons.

After saying thank you, a compartment opened up in the refreshment area. The white to go cup with bantha kings logo on the front was big enough to accommodate the space. Taking the cup he took a sip of the coffee and sighed, relaxing in his seat as the vehicle moved and swerved into traffic.

I sat there looking out the window as cars and buildings passed by, the vehicle swerving and moving with speed. The vehicle had to have been rather expensive because I could not feel any significant movement. " Nice vehicle, this must be new because I dont feel a thing even though we are weaving in and out of traffic."

Gaelin nodded his head," Its a newer model. The Queen ordered them a year ago after the old ones became decommissioned." The vehicle ascended, the cup in my hand almost spilling all over me. My eyes went wide as I looked past Gaelin to the driver," Everything okay up there?" The togruta shook her head," That was weird."

It was in that moment that a laser beam from some sort of saber pierced the top of the vehicle. My eyes went wide as the red bright blade cup the top of the vehicle like butter. Gaelin screamed for me to stay seated as he pulled out a retractable sword that when extended to its full length, the edge came close to my face. Gaelin said sorry before the top of the hood was torn off.

My hair whooshed in the wind as a scantily clad woman with a light saber grinned from behind her yellow glowing eyes. Her white hair was braided as her white skin seemed to glow an eery white. She smiled brightly then to reveal sharp teeth. " So cute... and so dead." She said in a menacing tone. Gaelin connected his sword to the womans, sparks coming off of the contact when Gaelin said," Pick on someone your own size pasty!"

She hissed at him and swung her saber toward Gaelin. They moved with a grace that was all their own while they fought. I sat there planted in my seat as they moved and attacked with speed, the woman was trained. I had wondered in my moment how a sith got on Bakura with all the security in place.

The sith woman swung her saber at me, Gaelin protected by stopping her blade inches from my face. She hissed and said," Let me cut him...I only want to see what he looks like inside." I hissed back at her and threw my hot cup of coffee into her face. She screamed and Gaelin took that moment to cut off the womans hand and grabbed her. She shrilled from the pain as her face hit the side of a building and exploded, blood and other bits riddled the vehicle. I sat there drenched in the womans bits, Gaelin putting away his sword and kneeling as the vehicle descended and landed at the government building.

I sat there drenched, using cloth from my shirt I whipped my hand over my face and said to Gaelin," I might need to shower and change my clothes again. You could have just thrown her off the vehicle." Gaelin gave a blank stare and said," Shes dead now, thats all that matters. My job was done." I yelled out to the driver if she was okay, all she said was," I might have to change my undergarments! They dont pay me enough for this poodoo!"

Gaelin hopped out of the vehicle as security personnel rushed over to speak to gaelin, medical assistants behind them made their way to my side. They asked me if I was alright and I just told them what i needed right now. I was not in shock but more wanting to continue my work day.

I knew that this incident was important because a sith had made it inside of the capital. There had not been a sith attack for years before now. I knew for a fact that this would also be all over the news.

My holo communicator buzzed, the face of my husband appearing on the screen. If he knew what had happened, it must be all over the news.

What a great way to start my day. Nothing like a fresh cup of assasin in the morning.
