HISTORY
Kaed was born on Phaseera, seemingly destined for a life of simplicity as the child of mid-level managers at unimportant companies on the planet. It wasn't meant to be, though, as a yearly vacation trip to Kashyyk changed that trajectory forever. Kaed was six years old when his family's liner slipped into an active battle zone. The liner was hit by stray shots, with many decks losing atmosphere. Kaed happened to be visiting the bridge with other children when the ship was hit. His parent's cabin was opened to space, leaving him alone in a cruel galaxy. The company that owned the liner paid out for the damages to the ship, including a hefty sum to survivors. Kaed himself was taken in by the First Officer of the liner and raised as a spacer. His newfound mother left the liner company and started her own company as a lighter-than-load freight hauler. Olvea learned the tricks of hauling freight first hand and learned that small companies couldn't haul large quantities cheaper than corporate haulers, but smaller ones were anyone's game. She also taught Kaed that the galaxy was ultimately uninterested in the actions of individuals, and if a haul was easy to take it you may as well take it.
