BIOGRAPHY:
Kaeda was born on Coruscant to Mandalorian parents, back when the Republic still controlled the city-planet. Her first two years were the type of blissful that can only happen in hindsight colored by tragedies, for that was when the Sith came. Fleets darkened the skies over the spires of Coruscant, Sith Troopers and their masters slaughtered Jedi and innocent alike. Being true Mandalorians, Kaeda’s parents fought to defend the system they called home, but even with their skill and ability in the ways of war, they were unable to thwart the coming of Sith rule. Their final actions were to defend a transport where civilians had taken refuge and were fleeing the planet, Kaeda riding along.

It was not very long before she wound up on Concordia, the moon of Mandalore. She was an orphan, but only in the sense that her biological parents had died. She was taken in by her mother’s family, who lived in a region of the moon that had long winters that froze their forested mountain sides. It was on these oft frozen slopes that Kaeda grew into her heritage. She learned the ways of making war, the reasons to make war, the laws of the hunt, and how to use her innate gifts to best augment her fighting abilities. It was in these years that stories of her parents became legends, told both by the hearth and around the camp fire, and the desire to hunt the Sith went from wish to goal.
Around her as she grew into womanhood were other Mandalorian children, some orphans taken in by the local families, and some still with their given families. They were called Kaeda’s Pride, for from a young age she held dominance over them. Together they trained in the ways of war and the hunt, learning the ways of each other to the point where communication was unnecessary in the heat of battle. Together, the games of youth turned into games of war. Old haunts where they played tag and capture the flag turned into havens where they planned mock battles against other cohorts of children. As they grew, these havens grew as well, first starting as a copse on a relatively flat expanse of mountainside, then growing into a series of tree houses where summer nights could be spent, and culminating in a cunningly hidden village in the trees, though there were no children here any longer. This village was devoted to the Mandalorian ways of war and the hunt, and the main quarry was the Sith.
