DESCRIPTION
As part of his initiation to the Jedi, Kahlil was tasked by his master to make his first lightsaber. Even as a Sith he had never made such a weapon, having deemed it unnecessary given his frail nature. Even then, it took him some time to gather the right parts for what he wanted. To him, this would be the last weapon he'd ever make. It was on the peaceful world of Sacorria while he was trying to find his light that he found a blue Solari gem, beckoning him to take it after his willingness to give up his life to rescue a family kidnapped by bandits.
There was as much mechanics as there was mysticism in his search however. With the increasing hostilities against the Mandalorians it only made sense for an ion cell to be used as the power source. It's ability to affect some of the more technically adept Mandalorian armors will prove invaluable in the coming battles.
With the Solari cystal in place the blade is wider, complementing Kahlil's chosen style of Soresu by helping with blaster deflection. Finally, it was layered with Reinforced Duraplast to make EMPs and Ion attacks less effective against it, helping it's longevity against ever increasing odds.
Strengths:
- Being powered by an Ion cell makes the weapon far more effective against shields, droids, and cybernetically enhance people and armor.
- The Solari Crystal offers a wider blade for easier blaster deflection.
- Given the nature of the Solari Crystal, only a lightsider can use the weapon.
- Can affect dark side spirits and Sith Spawn more effectively.
- Reinforced Duraplast makes the weapon resilient to EMP/Ion attacks against it.
Weaknesses:
- Cortosis shuts down the blade for far longer than normal.
- Force nullification such as void stone removes any special effect, reducing it to a normal lightsaber.
- It doesn't work underwater.
- The wide blade isn't as good for offensive dueling and precise cuts.
- While good at messing with circuitry and shields, it has a harder time cutting through tougher materials like Beskar than other lightsabers.
