Kaigann Fossk is a Force-sensitive human male hailing from the Deep Core world of Epoch, he played a role in galactic affairs as a former Jedi Knight of the Galactic Republic's Jedi Order and New Jedi Order of the Ession Reformation at the height of the One Sith Empire's power. An experienced explorer of the Unknown Regions, few planets hosted his presence long. He adapted a knack for surviving in hostile environments and a reputation as a seeker of knowledge among dead cultures.

The future Jedi Knight was initially trained on Coruscant before it was sacked by the One Sith and was relocated to Ossus where he was assigned his second and long-term master Cyril Grayson, father of Cedric Grayson , at the time known by Graxin Rade. Kaigann was affected deeply by the struggles against the One Sith and actively worked to fight against their tactics and advances alongside his master. In the end, the Republic began to buckle under the weight of the sinister empire in the making and hope became fleeting.

In response, Cyril Grayson and a dozen other Jedi Masters resettled on the ecumenopolis of Ession and inspired a planetary revolution against it's cruel oppressive regime as Jedi Lords. Kaigann himself delivered the final blow to the tyrant, Jo Shal, and within months a new government took shape. The Ession Reformation, a order shaped by Jedi unwilling to stand by as the One Sith tore apart the Galaxy, willing to reclaim the roles of Jedi Lords last left by the armies of Lord Hoth as they created their very own Army of Light.

Trained by other notable masters such as Queen Feena Mason, and The Dark Man , Kaigann was subjected to many teachings made available during his time on Naboo and at the newly constructed Grand Jedi Temple of Ession. These teachings would come to great use during the Graug Reforms on Gratos when Cyril and Kaigann had to prove themselves before the Pirate Clan of Graug. Overtime his experiences led him into an ambassador role among the Reformation, meeting figures such as The Red of Sinner and Strider Garon in diplomacy talks even returning back to his homeworld of Epoch for diplomatic talks alongside his master.

Unfortunately, time began fickle for the Jedi Padawan as he went missing in action after a mission alongside the Dark Man and other Jedi Padawans in investigation of the Primeval. Lost among the stars and without a way home from his damaged X-Wing, Kaigann survived for years amidst one of the jungle worlds of the Western Reaches until his discovery and rescue after crafting together a primitive beacon from ancient machinery found amidst long abandoned ruins. The Padawan was never the same, mentally anguished by the acts of survival and social isolation. He took part in the attack on Coruscant and fell victim to the power of the Dark Lord of the One Sith, engaging his own master in a brief duel until wrenching free his own mind once more.

He vanished from view and left his bestfriend, his father figure, his master behind. Searching for ways to redeem the things he had done that night and ways to prevent the Sith from coming to power ever again. Occasionally the padawan sprouted up from time to time, returning to Cyril to aid his master and mentor in his endeavors. When he was Knighted, he officially left the order once again going MIA on an expedition into the Unknown Regions to chart out old hyperspace routes. The Jedi Knight would not be seen again until 864 ABY when a pair of Jedi stumbled aboard the Holy City of the Brotherhood of the Maw where they found the elderly prisoner once known as Kaigann Fossk.
