STRUCTURE & LEADERSHIP
The Legions are each marked by ancient numerals, such as Legion I and Legion II, and are home to millions of souls spread across several branches with identical rank and command structures arranged to facilitate seamless transition between them, such that, in the event of a breakdown in command as result of a commander's death, any officer of the appropriate rank may take command of that unit with unquestioned authority. This also means that any soldier of appropriate training may fill in the vacancies of another unit or even branch, such as a pilot filling in for an infantryman or a Stormtrooper captain taking command of a ship as needed. In this way, The Imperial Legions are uniquely flexible and their units cannot be stopped by the loss of a commander.
BRANCHES
Each legion recruit is screened for talent in various fields for their potential as pilots, stormtroopers or naval personnel, and assigned to a unit based on their test scores and recommendations for standing out during training. Despite one's initial scores however, it is possible for soldiers of exceptional talent in multiple fields to enter a cross training program to broaden their skillset, allowing officers to reassign them to new roles within any branch when needed.
The branches comprising The Imperial Legions were;
- The Sith Navy
- Tasked with patrolling hyperplanes, logistics, transportation and naval combat.
- The Stormtrooper Corps
- Tasked with marine action, planetside infantry & armored warfare, and law enforcement in newly occupied territories.
- The Aviation Wing
- Tasked with naval and planetside aerial support of varying kinds.
