- Description: Born out of necessity, Experiment IX-73 was the Sith Empire's attempt to artificially fill deficiencies in their armed forces from either desertion or casualties. Genomes harvested from donors across the Empire, particularly the wealthy aristocratic elites who have supported the regime, were compiled in a massive genetic databank on the mobile worldcraft Malsheem. Utilizing a bleeding edge program known as the AN-X1 "Paradigm" Genetic Matrix, the Sith's geneticists used bioengineering and genetic experimentation to edit strands of genetic code to create non-identical clones of nine different species.
These strand-casts were incubated in AN-O1 "Ambertear" Exowombs, monitored by the same geneticists who brought them into being during their various growth cycles. These cycles were artificially accelerated to cover the period from infancy to young adulthood in the span of several months rather than the full twenty years it would naturally take. This rapid growth had the misfortune of occasionally resulting in deformity and mental deficiencies in the strand-casts upon reaching full maturity, but after multiple trials and errors, these defects became less common among the finished product.
Each strand-cast's midichlorian count was artificially limited to prevent the product from gaining Force sensitivity, as the Empire's main objective was to acquire obedient soldiers rather than expand the ranks of the Sith Order. However, unbeknownst to many, a second set of strand-casts was being developed using the same template and technology as the main series. These were incubated away from prying eyes, and instead of inhibiting the growth of midichlorians in the product, they were artificially increased to ensure that the product would develop Force-sensitivity.
Though more unstable than their non-Force sensitive counterparts, these strand-casts were viewed to be an ideal candidate for the New Sith program being developed by the Emeritus-Emperor Carnifex. Utterly loyal, utterly obedient, but powerful in the Dark Side of the Force. Mental conditioning ensured that both the IX-73a and IX-73b strand-casts were slavishly loyal to their creators, while biomechanical inhibitor chips were implanted as a safeguard against even the barest potential of disloyalty.

CULTURE
- Diet:
- Primarily Omnivorous
- Cooked Meats
- Prepared Vegetables
- Harvested Fruits
- Is typically fed artificial rations high in nutrients to conserve supplies
- Communication:
- Technology Level: The level of technology lies in accordance with the technological standards set forth by the Sith Empire, by whom Experiment IX-73 is created, trained, equipped, and deployed.
- Religion/Beliefs: Experiment IX-73 holds no religious preference, though they are entirely devoted to their Sith creators. Some subjects of the Experiment display more zealous tendencies over time, though it is not a consistent trait shared between all of them. The strand-casts of Experiment IX-73b are suicidally loyal to Carnifex, eager to sacrifice their own lives at the merest command to appease him.
- General Behavior: Bereft of advanced social interaction, the subjects of Experiment IX-73 are nonsocial individuals who only know how to properly interact in a strict military environment. They can receive orders perfectly fine and can understand how to carry them how, though they lack a certain degree of spontaneous creativity themselves and have difficulty solving problems. They are most efficient at following orders and engaging in firefights with enemy units, and they are capable of learning more skills the longer they exist past their initial deployment. Independent thought was considered a mental deficiency in the subjects, and so was routinely stamped out during their development. However, it is not impossible for some subjects to break with their programming and go rogue.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Third Imperial Civil War between the Sith Empire and the New Imperial Order resulted in obscene casualties for both sides, depleting what was once a bountiful and seemingly all-encompassing army. The internal division within the Empire did not aid the Sith either, as they lost more soldiers to casualty and defection than they could replace with fresh recruits without sacrificing training.
Facing a dilemma, the greatest scientific minds of the Empire convened with Carnifex, the Emeritus-Emperor, and Adrian Vandiir, the Pillar of Advancement. Together, they conceived of a method for the Empire to replenished its lost reserves without bleeding their worlds dry of age-appropriate recruits or relying on the very young and the very old to fight their wars. The solution came through genetic engineering, a science that had been taken to great heights by the unethical experiments performed by the Sith on other sentient beings over the years.
Nestled safely within the mobile worldcraft Malsheem, Sith scientists bioengineered multiple species into non-identical strand-casts that could be rapidly bred through artificial exowombs. These strand-casts were essentially blank templates, malleable clay for a sculptor to fashion into any shape they desired. The Sith imprinted them with a fervent loyalty and devotion to the Empire and implanted basic knowledge and combat training through intense flash-memories.
The majority of the early batches of strand-casts were defects that were immediately destroyed upon birth, but as more and more batches were created the scientists gradually improved their craft, and fewer defects were found in each subsequent generation. The successful subjects were subjected to a month's worth of basic training by the Empire's military instructors before being shipped off to the front lines, the progress of each strand-cast monitored for any irregularities. Those that persisted beyond their first deployment learned quickly in their harsh surroundings, becoming very capable and dutiful soldiers over time.
Adjacent to the creation and production of these artificial soldiers was an even more insidious project headed by Carnifex and Adrian, to produce fully Force-sensitive strand-casts that could be trained as Sith. Dubbed the New Sith program, Carnifex hoped to cultivate an entire generation of Sith who were loyal not to any creed nor to their own selfish desires, but to him and him alone. He had seen the disparity in loyalty rampant throughout the Sith Order, and how even the merest words by a talented orator could rend irreparable rifts in what was propped up to be a tight-knit order bound by the commonality of creed.
Never again.
Carnifex's New Sith would be devoid of such weakness, they would be bound to a will strong enough to keep them obedient.
His will.
