-Flight! Those wings aren't just for show. It's a lot of work to take off from the ground though, much easier to jump off of something.
-Can you get that for me buddy? While her bones aren't hollow, they're not as strong as most humanoids and consequently she herself will never match a human of the same build in terms of strength.
-Song Kali is capable of both beautiful human and bird sounding song, and indulges often. Why does the bird sing? Because she bloody well can and if you keep staring I will charge you admission buddy.
-Oooh a Shiny! She will tell you it's a Jastaalian thing, this may or may not be a lie. Kali is a big ol' klepto about the shinies and has an honestly hard time controlling herself.
-Don't make me kick you.. While not strong, kali does have great big talons on her feet. Great. Big. Talons. This also makes it hard for her to sneak around on hardwood or metal floors, and she sometimes damages the flooring. Whoops.
-What an ugly sweater! Your Mum made it? She must hate you! Kali has trouble with the inappropriate little voice in her head. Namely, the trouble is she hasn't really got any other voice. Do NOT ask her if you look fat.
-WoOooOOOooo, mind things! Kali is force sensitive. She's not really done anything with it yet, so mostly she's just lucky.
-No I'm not mad, why do you ask? little bitty feathers that change based on her emotions. She can't control this. It toally gives things away and annoys the ever-living out of her. But at least she's pretty.
-Do you have feather? I don't think so. Kali is a vain little birdy. Vain vain vain. Even when she's grubby, she is conviced she is beautiful and that is that.
APPEARANCE:
Kallani is fairly short and solidly built, for her race in any case. She's still short but more on the average side of build for a human. Her most obvious characteristic would be a wingspan thats more than triple her height, and the feathers. Many feather. Mostly green. She's very proud of them. A semi astute individual might note that some of her smaller secondary feather change color occasionally. A very astute individual might note this happening when her moods change. Her all black eyes are usually sparkling with goodwill and barely contained glee, there's often a smile on her lips.
When it comes to wardrobe Kalani likes color and texture. Leathers and metals, gems and beading, all of it is fair game, as long as it doesn't clash with the plumage of course. She tends to favour greens, blue, browns and golds, sometimes orange and purples. She does not do footwear. She has thus far flatly refused to go anywhere with snow largely because she does not want footwear. Not only would her oversized splayed talons be hard to fit into anything, anything they did fit into would probably look hideous. She is also entirely comfortable nude. The only questionable bit is covered in feathers anyway so why should she be worried about it? She just wears clothes for the aesthetic value. And sometimes it is cold. She does not like swimming because she thinks she looks ridiculous wet, and her feathers take hours to dry out. Sexy bathing suits are a-okay though.
Her legs are also slightly different from humans, having a barely noticeable extra joint to help with the whole perching bit. Her hands while lagely human looking have fingernails that are a bit more on the claw side of things, though she keeps them trimmed so they're not too long. Her elongated, feathered ears hear a little better than a human, and further into the soundrange, though not extraordinarily so.
