Kalt is fairly tall and lanky compared to most. His build is lean and lithe, although still capable, he isn't particularly strong. At least not without some assistance from the force. His skin is a darker shade of red and his eyes are brown, not yet featuring the typical eyes of the Sith. His features are smoother than most aliens would find of a Devaronian, although he doesn't take any particular care to enhance them. His horns are notably longer than most in his species, sprouting up and spiraling tall. He tends to sport typical robes with tabards, black in color, with red trimming along the edges.

Kalt is a bookworm of a Sith, with great interest in Sith Sorcery, especially in illusions. Experimentation and research is a common hobby of his, although he isn't above normal means of entertainment and leisure. He'd much rather spend hours upon hours of studying and practicing his abilities in the force, than doing lightsaber drills, or exercises. He doesn't work hard on anything that doesn't interest him or directly contributes to his goals, unless it's a task he must do. And even then, he'll go to considerable efforts to complete it as easily as possible. That said, he isn't above working hard if he feels he needs to prove himself. Especially now that he feels his loyalty to the Sith is in question.
Kalt can be sadistic when he uses his powers on others. He seems to enjoy torturing others, especially if he feels they deserve it. Entering an interrogation and getting answers right away is no fun for Kalt. Even if the subject is already open to giving answers, he'll impose a great deal of pain on them to do so. That said, Kalt has no interest in random acts of violence or inflictions of pain, especially on the innocent. To him, there needs to be some meaning to it, to enjoy it. Torture for the sake of revenge or duty is what he's after in these instances.
He's been known to prank colleagues and fellow acolytes, or others below his station. Nothing too serious but it has been of some annoyance to his victims.

Kalt was born on Yavin-4, to parents whose ancestors had immigrated to the moon generations ago. His parents were relatively unimportant, although he spent some time with them before his force sensitivity was discovered. He was recruited and sent to the Sith Academy, where he fit in well with the more academic side of his training but was often chastised for his reported laziness in other parts of his training. Lightsaber combat never interested him that much, and although he understood the importance of it, he mainly decided to stick to mastering one form above the others, Makashi. The only reason he picked Makashi was because he seemingly found it more interesting than the other forms.
Kalt really excelled in studying and learning to perform feats with the force. In particular, he found Force Illusions and similar abilities to be of peak interest to him. Kalt often obsessed over this knowledge but equally enjoyed utilizing it to torment his rivals. There were a number of "bullies" that had picked on him often, as was expected in such an environment. As he gained power, he loved getting back at them in cruel and unusual ways. For the most part he didn't kill, or at least if he had, he wasn't caught, and made no effort to take credit for it. Instead he preferred to embarrass them, sabotage them in trials, or literally drive them insane, in the worst cases. While no one could definitely prove it was him, there was enough sadistic satisfaction to let everyone know it was his doing. This kept the rest of his academic career largely unmolested as most were too afraid to challenge the Walker of Dreams, as they called him.
Experimentation and research was something he did often. A notable paper he wrote involved a highly complex ritual for a large-scale illusion. The prospect being to manipulate an entire army into fighting a non-existent opponent. The paper was praised but considered a little too ambitious, requiring a great deal of study and power from several participants for an illusion that would only last a while before any competent enemy would realize it was fake.
Eventually he was assigned a master, Vaulkhar Zambrano. He learned a fair bit from Vaulkhar, and participated in several assignments, including the annexation of Ord Thoden, and the freeing of Drachau Zambrano on Anarris.
He learned a lot for a short while, even participating in the subjugation of Ord Thoden. He participated in another assignment involved in freeing a captured Drachau Zambrano from a train on Anarris/Altiria. He assisted a fellow acolyte in discovering their lost heritage, and made acquaintances with Darth Raptious.
After Vaulkhar Zambrano changed sides, joining the Jedi, Kalt and the rest of Vaulkhar's apprentices were put under a lot of scrutiny. To prove his loyalty, Kalt attempted to partake in the battle of Concordia. Although he wasn't able to distinguish himself in the battle, he did manage to prove his loyalty, at least on paper. He was then assigned under master Drachau for a time but he found himself not doing much. He suspected that there was still some distrust levelled at him because of his first master, he wasn't being utilized like he should have. Maybe it wasn't necessarily Drachau's fault but he knew he couldn't remain where he was for too long. He decided to leave Drachau and search for a new master instead.
He was able to find tutelage and service under Alina Tremiru. While inability to use the force was a concern, Kalt was interested in learning from someone with the ability to sever the force from others, and recognized that given her family, and her status as a Knight, that surely she could teach him a lot. And maybe he'll have a chance to prove himself loyal once more.
