Karnak Ren is an extremely logical individual, the cybernetic implants that are the hallmark of his species removing nearly any ability for him to operate on an emotional basis; unfortunately, this has also left him bereft of the ability to intuitively understand the emotional states of others around him. Among other Yaka, this was not a problem; since he has left them, however, it has become a large obstacle to communication, leading Karnak to become as asocial as he now is. He is also extremely dismissive of most others he meets, due to their perceived lack of intelligence compared to himself; thankfully, he's polite enough that he normally avoids making his contempt for those 'lesser' than him known.
Operational Record:
Karnak's life has been a rather uneventful one. Originally living in the Yaka system under a different name, his first occupation was that of a soldier, wherein he learned to utilize his large size and high physical prowess—even compared to other Yaka—to good effect. He ultimately specialized as military police, and upon completing his term in the military he transitioned into a mercenary and bodyguard role. Unfortunately, the charge he had been hired to protect was killed in a pirate attack, and the pirates themselves managed to subdue Karnak himself, for a short time.
However, as the pirates were preparing to sell the hulking man into slavery, a fortuitous malfunction of the shock collar they had placed on him enabled Karnak to snap it off, before sabotaging the ship and getting away via an escape pod. Ashamed of his failing, he vowed that he'd never return to Yaka space and be met as a failure; thankfully for him, he was saved by a passing First Order vessel. Not long after managing to become part of the First Order was his force sensitivity noticed, and the hulking Yaka warrior found himself quickly inducted into the Order of Ren as a new Disciple.
