  Like many Jedi before her, Karra's life with the Order began as a babe, being deposited on the steps of a temple by parties unknown, though it was most likely her parents, as it often was with other species. The early years were most difficult for her Jedi brethren, as she had a habit of morphing into wildly different shapes, sizes, and species, due to her difficulty learning to control her shifting ability. While this had its perks, such as shifting into her friends and the masters to prank other younglings, it was nonetheless a difficult time for her. Thankfully, she managed to gain fine control over it as she grew into a nervous, but curious and passionate young lady.
  
  As a Padawan to a Miralukan Knight, she spent a lot of time wandering, learning more and more as she travelled and helped others. She came to prefer the more passive forms of helping others, leading to a desire to become a healer. This was also reinforced by her nervous nature, which only got more unstable as the duo went from place to place, more often than not getting into fights and complicated situations such as negotiations and the neverending galactic cycles of war. Despite the best efforts of her Master to curb her anxiety and help her come out of her shell, she found herself retreating deeper inward and confined herself to the relative safety of Jedi Outposts and Temples. Since that moment, she studied under several Masters, learning about the Force and the healing arts from the safety of home while war and chaos reigned in the stars above. While she never admitted it, she felt a great well of shame knowing there were people out there she could have helped, had she not been consumed by fear.
  
  Over 2 decades, this fear and remorse and self-loathing distilled into a concentrated desire, the desire to be free of her own weaknesses and doubts, to go out into the universe and actually see it instead of spending more time looking for the exits. She trained and meditated and researched and fought, tooth and nail, to be strong enough, and when the galaxy descended into Chaos again, she finally took the plunge and started to insert herself into situations where her skills as a Jedi and a Healer would be of some benefit. Since then, she has been working tirelessly to ensure people don't have to live in fear or doubt anymore, all the while working to suppress her own...
  
• APPEARANCE:
  
  While all Shi'ido have the same basic shape, Karra's preferred form is that of a middle-aged human with brown hair and browner eyes, often sporting a cheeky or motherly smile (depending on the situation). When in the comfort of her lab or any Jedi-occupied territory, she is adorned in the soft and flowing sand-colored robes of the Silver Jedi Order. When she is required to go into the wild, so to speak, she prefers to blend in somewhat, dressing in whatever works for the task at hand (one of her hobbies is collecting clothes). No matter where she is, she will always have her staff by her side, both as a walking aid and as a defensive tool should a fight happen. It's also designed to hold her lightsaber, which itself is incredibly versatile, inside the shaft or on top of the staff to act as a Saber pike.

  • Decades of study in xenobiology has endowed Karra with a wide breadth of knowledge regarding the medical treatment of various species such as Wookies, Trandoshans, Clawdites, and of course, Shi'ido like herself.
  • She has supplemented her medical knowledge into her Lightsaber and Martial combat skills, allowing her to compensate for her lack of technical skill and finesse with knowledge of pressure points, vital organs, sensitive bodyparts, etc.
  • Being able to shift her body's mass and structure at will allows her focus on multiple tasks at once, often contorting her physical form into something more capable of multitasking (think a third arm or a series of tentacles).
  • She is very skilled in the more esoteric and passive fields of the force, adept in abilities such as Psychometry, Telepathy, Force Flash, Plant Surge, Force Shield, Cryonkinesis, and Pyrokinesis.
  
  
  • Decades of study in medical studies has had a detrimental affect on Karra's other abilities, she can barely pilot a ship, she is incapable of using blasters, more likely to shoot her toes off that someone else's hand, and staunchly refuses to use more offensive force powers, preferring instead to redirect and evade her foes instead of striking back.
  • Befitting a medic, she hates it when people get injured or put in danger, prioritizing negotiation and cooperation over clashing swords. To this end, she'll often be the last person to draw her saber in a delicate situation. This can sometimes lead her to get into situations where she deludes herself and puts herself at serious risk in the vain hope of finding a peaceful solution. Her only exception to this, befitting triage, is when she is defending a patient or patients from hostile forces - she will not hesitate to strike down her foes if she feels there is no other choice.
