STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES :
Human - No force powers, no racial abilities, Karta has no natural advantages.
Cleithrophobia - Confinement does not sit well with Karta. This can include being on a spaceship in distress as well as capture, underground locales, also not her favourite.
Lousy Shot - She's all right on a good day. That's the best that can be said.
Lousy Pilot - She can do basic piloting, land, take-off etc, but it's not in her best interests to get into dog fights.
Parkour - Primarily urban, but Karta can make her way through almost any environment at a speed and in a manner that leave most in awe.
No Fear of Heights - Part of growing up on flying Gondolas
Grappling Hook - Basic kit for an Denfrandi. Karta can use it both for getting around as well as in combat.
Karkin' Big Sword - A girl has to keep something hard on her, too many males don't even know the definition of the word. Trained in Kartranin style.
Up Close and Personal - Karta may be towered over and outweighed by most opponents, but she's actually best at close combat, having mastered the Verdanian 'Sliding Hands' method of combat. Prediction, joint locking, bone breaking.. Having Kartas hands on you? Not as enjoyable as you might think.
Demolitions - Karta enjoys making things go boom, as either an entrance, exit or the main event.
Slicer - Not the best since it's not her main focus, but Karta can make unsecured or lightly secured databases sing.
APPEARANCE:
Long dark brown hair, often pulled back into a pony-tail or bun if there's work to be done. Blue eyes, quite possibly rolling at you while you look her over. Karta is something of a looker, but that's hardly her fault. What she cares about is that she's also a fighter. So that butt you're looking at? It's that nice because of all the exercise. And that exercise? Usually consists of kicking someone elses butt. Maybe stop looking. Just a suggestion.
Karta favours natural colours and fabrics. Mobility is important to her.
BIOGRAPHY:
Raised on Taloraan, Karta spent much of her youth on the floating Gondolas of the Denfrandi. There she mastered the art of the grappling hook. Ultimately the simple lifestyle wasn't enough for the vivacious young woman, and at about 16 she hopped a ship headed to the core.
Where it ended up however, was hijacked by pirates.
This is the bit where the heroine bravely fights off the bad guys and saves the day, or alternatively is captured, subjected to horrible, degrading, scarring things and is a poor broken bird.
This was not exactly the case. Karta did fight, of course. She had her grappling hook, she accounted quite well for herself, and then she got shot. Apparently it was on a stun setting however, because next thing she knew she woke up looking a blaster pistol in the barrel. What came next was an offer, join up and replenish the crew or die. Well that was hardly a choice at all, so a period of piracy followed.
She picked up quite a few useful skills here, but honestly it was difficult to maintain her own admittedly sometimes ambiguous moral code. So when the chance came to disappear, she took it. What followed was some odd jobbing as a mercenary, until eventually she found her way into the Mandalorians, who's ways seemed quite natural to the early 20-something year old, and she easily fell into.
Karta is now Mando through and through, and about ready to make her mark on the Galaxy.
