Born to a moderately wealthy family on the upper levels of the planet Coruscant, Kasan had a rather well-established and average childhood. Despite this, Kasan displayed a discontent attitude, as his parents tried to control every aspect of his life. Due to his constant clashes with his father, Kasan left his home at the mere age of 17, venturing down into the lower levels of the planet. There, he began a life of crime, as he entered the Underworld fighting circuit, where he learned how to fight. Quickly becoming one of the most celebrated combatants, Kasan gained notoriety as he won, developing and honing his skills at the same time. As he delved deeper into the criminal underworld, Kasan adopted drug use, especially deathsticks. Becoming an addict, Kasan allowed drugs to consume his life, becoming increasingly violent and unstable. Unable to provide for himself as he succumbed to the addiction, Kasan returned to his parents at the age of 22, a broken young man. His father accepted him back with open arms, helping him recover from his terrible addiction. After making his peace with both his parents, Kasan boarded a transport ship to Ord Mantell, searching for employ in the vast Galaxy.
