Homeworld: Coruscant
Born to a lower class family on Coruscant, Kayla's childhood and adolescent life was full of violence and tragedy. She was adopted by a hard working family after both her parents were murdered by a criminal gang when she was at the age of five. Growing up she learned to take nothing for granted and that if she wanted to become successful in life she would have to do it her way. She attended school where she came to love science and political philosophy. She worked hard and eventually graduated at the top of her class.
Saying farewell to her step-parents, Kayla enrolled in a advanced university where she met Ben Craig. The two quickly became friends as they shared the same interests, in regards to science. The two were separated when Ben enlisted in the Galactic Empire's army and later the Zweihander Union. Kayla had begun to forget about her best friend when the two were reunited years after. At this time, Ben had become an rich and powerful admiral in the navy of the Zweihander Union, and Kayla was a leading scientist and researcher for a big-time corporation.
The two were reunited after Ben was transferred to the newly developed Intelligence and Security Bureau and given the title of section director. With The Craig Doctrine being implemented, many positions were being opened for the new branch, the Military Department of Advanced Weapons Research. The corporation Kayla was employed with became a subsidiary of N&Z and so Kayla transferred over to N&Z as a mid-level researcher. Through her reputation and accomplishments, Kayla's file quickly found itself at the top of Ben's desk among a select few candidates who were recommended for the Craig Initiative.
At first, Ben didn't recognize Kayla until he saw the university of which they both attended. Amazed, Ben reached out to Kayla and invited her over to his luxurious house to "catch up on old times". They both chatted for a while before Ben suggested she join his secret think tank of scientists and researchers. Kayla was flattered that he knew about her accomplishments and excitedly accepted. She was amazed at how far they had both come. Kayla quickly rose through the ranks and earned Ben's absolute trust and respect. Ben promoted Kayla to Deputy Director and she became his right hand, sharing the same vision of bringing justice and peace to the galaxy. While many speculate, it is indeed rumored that the two are in a very close and personal relationship.
