OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION​

Intent: Kaylin is intended to provide a side-kick for Jay serving as a story hook, comedy relief, and excuse for exposition.

Role: Kaylin was a slave freed by Jay as a child. She now considers herself his sister and accompanies him on his adventures.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION​

Age: uncertain - early teens (13, 14, 15) although, with preparation she can pass for a couple years younger or a couple years older
Force Sensitivity: Untrained Force Sensitive - She doesn't realize that she's using the force but it is the Force that's kept her alive though-out her years as a slave. Without even knowing she's doing so, she applies force suggestion to make her life easier all the time.
Species: Twi'lek
Appearance: Being a teenager, Kaylin's height (1.6m) and weight(45kg) are subject to change with little or no warning. Fashion sense comes and goes based on the cultures she is exposed to in her travels. She typically prefers simple clothing in neutral colors. Her only constant accessory is the the leather head-dress she's worn for years. It is slowly getting a bit small for her and will need to be replaced at some point. Her skin is a darker shade of green than Jay's but she could easily pass as his biological sibling if it weren't for her lekku.

SOCIAL INFORMATION​

Name: Kaylin
Loyalties: though she'll never admit it, she is totally loyal to Jay crediting him with having saved her from slavery
Wealth: Officially, Kaylin receives an "allowance" in return for helping out aboard the ship. In reality, Jay makes sure Kaylin has all she needs.
Notable Possessions: only her head-dress made of blue dyed leather
Skills: Kaylin is a passable mechanic and likes to tinker in her free time She is currently learning to pilot the Odyssey (link to the ship will be provided after it has been approved)
Personality: Kaylin is friendly but reserved with a sarcastic sense of humor. She is somewhat naïve, particularly when it comes to social interaction, but she is far from gullible.

COMBAT INFORMATION​

Weapon of Choice: bare hands (she's begun training with Jay) ...she's a terrible shot with a blaster... can't hit the broad side of a Hutt.
Combat Function: none

Strengths:

• mechanical aptitude - without formal training, she can perform as well as any trained entry level mechanic.
• scholar - she's a fast learner; curious about everything.

Weaknesses:

• naivety - having spent her childhood as a slave, she has little understanding of how to function in civilized society.
• attachment - since her rescue, she has become highly attached to Jay and the <i>Odyssey</i>; she would be quite literally lost without them
• nightmares - she has occasional nightmares. On extremely rare occasions (once every other year or so) these nightmares have proven to be prophetic Force visions.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION​

Kaylin is hesitant to talk about her past. Her childhood, as long as she can remember, was spent as a slave. As far as she is concerned, her life really started a just couple years ago when Jay helped her escape and took her in. Since then, she has considered Jay to be her "big brother" and has been joining in his adventures.
