- Intelligent stopping Power: The special ammo is responsible for the high damage output. Due to its high speed but short short fuse it is rather intelligent ammunition, after impact, which can be a soft or solid target, the blaster bolt ignites itself in a high-explosive manner. Therefore it would tear apart an enemy from the inside with or without armour. If the armour should be strong and thick enough, the blaster bolt will still deliver a minor explosion with kinetic energy and tear out a portion of the enemy armour.
- Strong Recoil: The weapon offers quite a bump when being fired and needs training and practice to be fired efficiently in steady firing.
- Heavy Handling: The weapon is heavy, ill suited for elegant or gunslinger movements.
- No Stealth: The weapon cannot be silenced nor can the flash be suppressed.
Developed together with the program which was initiated by Aurelian Sigismund , the SAT-series is a splinter of the Lancer-series and meant to provide serious firepower for ground units. Based on the rare DC-weapons of the Purge Troopers employed by the Galactic Empire, the technology was further developed and refined into a very deadly and cold-blooded weapon. It does not only kill, but it adds a psychological shock to the enemy as their comrades are not only killed, or not even, but also torn apart.
The Pistol is the standard sidearm for officers and even soldiers, it is meant to be large firepower in small casing. It is much less versatile than the rifle, but still very destructive.
